If that was the case? who would defend a murderer? child molester? rapist? Just because you defend someone or something to the best of your abilities does not make you a bad person.
Being a bad person, makes you a bad person. I consider most scientologists to be good people, even those still in the cult that I dislike strongly. What this cult does to normal human beings, children, those that are weak minded or naive is evil and cruel. Wether it's right or wrong to defend this is open to our own personal opinion. The law works both ways, and I strongly believe the law will eventually catch up to this cult. I'm sure a few attorneys have stated in private, WTF you can't fuck you can't do that. BUT we can do this? I know you most likely don't want to hear that. As to some of those letters signed by some very big wig partners at large law firms in Los Angeles. I'm guessing all they did was sign and put their name to the letter after reviewing and charging a few grand for doing so. When your billable rate is $1000:00 hour. Many of us would be quite happy to do the same.
OK. Sorry if my views offend anyone. Enjoying this forum, was a long time lurker, before deciding to post. I plan to stick around and post from time to time. I have pretty thick skin, so if my opinions do not match yours. You won't hurt my feelings. I'm not a big debater, just feel that this cult is wrong on so many levels, and so hypocritical. Freedom! that's a joke.
