I am sure there are cameras every 10 feet or so... but that does not mean they will turn the footage over to the police. It will take a court order & then the cameras "might not have been working just then" if my guess is right.

The sciobots have had time to "coach" the family members on what to say & how to act. They kept control of the family from what it sounds like - they were not seen being taken out for questioning by the police that I have seen reported.

The sciobots have had time to "coach" the other guard on what to say & how to say it.

The victim is a beloved member - I hope he was.

But what about the boy - who loves him? Who will be there for him? Even if he is a deranged killer - he is 16 and what is his "story". God help him if he was raised in the cult. I hope they do not let a "spiritual adviser" have access to him - just a damn good lawyer.

Some how it will be psychiatrist that are at fault with their terrible medications... anyone will be at fault before it is the fault of the sciobots.

I know nothing of how their laws work or the "levels" of homicide. Anyone know the laws & how they work for kids this young, can he be certified as an adult?

Daily Telegraph: Teen accused of fatal Scientology stabbing opposed his mum undergoing ‘purification’

The teenager who allegedly went on a knife-wielding rampage at the Church of Scientology, stabbing one member fatally in the neck and slashing another, was trying to stop his mother undergoing an intense “purification” process that claims to rid the body of drugs and toxins to reach a spiritual high.

The 16-year-old Chinese national, who was not a Church member, had begged his mother not to undergo the introductory Purification Rundown cleanse in an argument the night before, a source revealed.

The young man is currently undergoing a mental health assessment program at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital before police will decide whether to charge him.

“His mother was inside the building undergoing a purification process and was told not to go outside. The son was not a member of Scientology and wasn’t happy about the cleansing course,” a source said. “They had argued about it the night before.”

In the end it won't matter much why it happened, what was said and/or to whom ... the kid took a large knife and murdered someone with it and he also attacked someone else ... they are facts and about all the Police, Judge and Jury will be interested in ... along with his mental state.

Nobody will give a toss why he did it or whether he was being badly parented or not, bad parenting is pretty 'normal' these days unfortunately.

The cult will have immediately gone in 'PR handling' mode and every word out of that place will be to protect the cult and that will almost certainly include anything that comes out of the murderers family's mouth.

A 24 year old
man has just died a very nasty death and he did not deserve that just because he was a scientologist.

I just don't buy it.

Why would someone in Taiwan, take their kid and fly to Australia to do a Purif?

Just doesn't make sense....

What could make sense is if the Mother was a completion on some OT Level....and was told to do the Purif or re-do the Purif at an AO.

Of course she could have been regged to do it in Australia....just in going to an AO is more " upstat..."

I guess the Mother could also be a never-in...and got regged in Australia...?

Taiwan is pretty much the main source of income (and staff) for Sydney ... it doesn't have to make sense.

New tidbit from a News Article....

‘He’s had a spin-out and they have tried to move him away to safety,’ a member of the church, who did not wish to be named, told The Daily Telegraph.

Is "spin-out" an Australian slang?

Chinese national? Are they recruiting from China now? Or is this just lazy reporting? I know the Chinese consider Taiwan to be part of China, but if the family are ACTUALLY Chinese nationals, then that in itself is very interesting. There's no way the Chinese authorities would allow Scientology to operate in China (they don't like competition), so if they are managing to recruit in China, they are doing it surreptitiously. Unless it's Hong Kong.

It wouldn't surprise me if they have found a way to promote Scientology in China, because they obviously realised a long time ago that there will be less critical information on the internet in non-English-speaking countries. All the other cults have had the same realisation, by the way. I know that the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses have translated all of their leaflets and books into Chinese [ETA: and I also saw the JW materials in Polish the other day, with a Polish-born guy standing next to the stand], and they hand them out on high streets in the UK (aimed at the Chinese student population in the UK, presumably). Perhaps that's how the CoS is targeting the Chinese, through the large Chinese student population in Australia.

When India becomes more affluent, no doubt the western orgs will be manned by Indians as well.

Sorry for the derail.

Yea, I caught that too. Chinese National. I figured it was a mistake....but who knows...

China is hard at work at getting Companies to delete any mention of Taiwan from their businesses...

Yeah. I spoke to a Jehovah's Witness guy on the street the other day, and he told me that they send people to Hong Kong, and they stand at the border crossing handing out VAST QUANTITIES of JW literature to the mainland Chinese visiting Hong Kong for the day. I wonder whether Scientology is doing the same.

But the News Report still persists in saying the situation has nothing to do with the Cult...

I don't see how the News can say that...
Police will only be concerned about the facts of the incident. If disconnection is a factor, this will not weigh in.
Don't they have the common sense to use metal detectors when people enter their buildings
Australia has far less violence than USA and Britain. There are very few metal detectors outside of airports.
By the way, this is a pic from the Grand Opening Celebration and has nothing to do with this thread! (if you missed that...)
I missed that. He may just be a hired security guard.
Thanks for that.

During the Alice Wu incident a few years ago, the Taiwanese recruits were not on religious visas, which are trackable, but electronic visitor visas that had to be renewed every few months or so. Those visitor visas are apparently inappropriate for SO recruits.
That is interesting.

The ABC.net.au is sounding like the "mouth" of the sciobots. It is using PR straight from the source... but not asking any tough questions.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-01-04/scientology-stabbing-inside-the-enormous-hq/10684328

Scio is even supplying the photos for them to use. I was hoping for real coverage -

The boy murdered but has not been charged yet - in the US it could take a few days for the process to happen. Do not know the timing in their system. Unless he can claim & prove self defense - and then it will still have to go through the system.

LOL! WoW, the Cult is using this Murder as an opportunity to promote themselves and their facility! And the Mass Media seems to be playing right along with them!

Didn't LRH write that no press mention is bad press mention...or something like that?

Well, if he did write that, he contradicted it elsewhere. Because Scn policy tells Scios to stay away from the press like the plague.

I'm pretty sure that in this context the term "Chinese National" refers to a citizen of Taiwan. The official name of Taiwan is The Republic of China. The COS is doing relatively well there, and citizens of Taiwan / The Republic of China do their OT levels in Australia. Conversely, the COS has no official presence (i.e., as Scientology) in mainland China / The People's Republic of China.

OK, then it's lazy reporting. Although Taiwan is called the Republic of China, most people understand 'Chinese national' to mean a citizen of the PEOPLE'S (haha) Republic of China. If I told a Taiwanese that they were a Chinese national, I'd be in for an argument.

Hello peeps. The last time I posted here was for the Battle of Yarramalong I think (remember that, Racecar? "We" won resoundingly.)

First of all some facts:

Taiwan is THE major source of $s for Sydney - has been since the mid-90s. It's also become the major source of new SO members for Oz and has been that since the turn of the century. Problem (for the Cult) is that the new recruits can't stay indefinitely in Oz unless they are citizens. So most of the SO are on visas and have to return to Taiwan every 6 (?) months or so. The last "solution" to this that I heard of was a CLO established in Taiwan and crew were rotated between Oz and there on a regular basis.

AOSH ANZO has NO time for children of crew or public. This kid (it has now been revealed) wanted to see his Mum who was on the Purif. Was told no. Escorted away by 2 males. Almost certainly SO. One at least was Taiwanese, here as a Minister-in-Training? Doing the 90-plus hour week. On Security? Wouldn't that be a violation of visa conditions?

I know of one lad who went to visit his mum (who was AOSH ANZO crew.) He was in his teens. Found himself locked in a room for hours and never saw her. She was convinced that he was an SP. There's plenty of other horror stories from $ci kids who lucked out with kultie parents here in Oz, especially in Sydney.

Someone I know and trust went for a visit to the AOSH ANZO not long before it moved to Chatswood. They counted aound 50 public on lines at the time. Visually. Going to all the courserooms, meal spaces, PC waiting areas etc.. Of around 50 or so kulties there that morning, all but 2 were of Asiatic descent (they apparently were an aged couple of Meditteranean parentage). Maybe a few were Japanese but the vast majority if not all of them would be Taiwanese. That's how dependant on Taiwan the AOSH ANZO is.

ESPECIALLY now that an AO has opened in South Africa. Because that was where the most of the rest of public were coming from.

The last major "flap" the kult had in Taiwan was Alice Wu. They were able to bury that somehow and keep it out of the media and away from the police. This is different. Media are a lot more interested. The poor kid has been charged - which means at least one Court Hearing to determine if he's fit to stand trial. And the NSW Police take murder investigations seriously. So there will be lots of questions asked.

I've already been asked to do media and I'm sure more will happen as bits of the facts dribble past OSA ANZO's desperately clutching claws. I have no doubt that the "shore story" via "special briefings" has already been circulated. And it will be a footbullet as usual.

Because of the lack of English-speaking crew at AOSH ANZO, the probability for more major footbulets coming out of this is certain. I'm sure that this will reveal a lot of the horrors that "we" weren't able to get public before.
