While protesting at Flag recently, many Scientologists spoke to me with scientologise words. My protest signs had Scientology words and acronyms. It didn't take them long to figure out exactly who I was. ( I had written my name on one of my signs to help them out .)

Most of the Clearwater Police there moonlighting as Security for the "church" were baffled as to the cause of all the upset the churches security had with me.

Most of my signs had rather ridiculous things written on them like: " does David Miscavige's theta body have the same ridiculous pompourdo hair style as his real body?" And. " Frank Sinatra is Chairman of the Board. COB is an imploded tin can". And ( women will probably hate this one). " does Suzette Hubbard have a theta potata Coochie ?"

Anyway, I was thinking the other day about legal things and realized that Scientologists may sound like they are speaking English, but they really aren't. And that this could get confusing in Court. If English is not your first language , now in Court, you are given an interpreter . I am thinking of crafting a letter to some widely read legal publication like "the Harvard Law Review" that any court case involving a cult should have a "Cult Speak Interpreter."

I attended lots of events at the Shrine Auditorium in LA over the years. One thing that continually struck me was .....how could these buffoons be running this operation?

Perhaps most of these Execs just weren't good public speakers. I literally cringed in embaresment for guys like Marc Yeager and Guiemme La sevrve when they spoke. And CHRIST......when Ronald Miscavige was trotted out the first time, as being promoted to some high position, you could SEE his embaresment. First thing I thought was nepotism, and I felt sorry for the guy!

When Scientology was promoting Celebrity Centers "Renaissance" restaurant, word was that Guillme La Sarde HIMSELF had picked out the wine list. CRIKEY!!!!! The PRESIDENT of the C of S picking out wines for a restaurant! Now THAT is ON PURPOSE! NOT!

I am curious because Suzette Hubbard is long gone from the Sea Org and Scn for that matter. I am pretty sure.

I have not seen or heard about her since the 80's sometime and I was in the SO until 2004.

The c of s likes to copy trendy things in society. There was a popular video going around with a lot of famous celebrities singing a song entitled " we are the world." This was some public awareness , charity thing about starving children or something....I don't really remember. But then c of s put all their celebs together and had them sing some song too. It mimicked the real world one exactly. What was it for? Scientologist that didn't have enough money to get up the bridge?

There was a new public trend to wear a little crossed ribbon on your shirt to indicate your solidarity for AIDS awareness. ( Seinfeld even made a funny episode about it). Then I was flummoxed one day to get to Complex ( PAC Base) walk around and see all the SO personnel wearing these little crossed red ribbons on their jackets. I was puzzled because I knew for damn sure it wasn't for AIDS awareness. Then I realized SO personnel walk all over Hollywood, and it was a publicity stunt for the public to see. I mentioned to a few SO guys that the ribbon indicated compassion for AIDS awareness. Those ribbons were gone in a day or two ! ( not claiming I had anything to do with that.)

The restaurant business was booming in LA. So c of s makes a big deal about opening a very fancy FRENCH restaurant in Celebrity Center called " the Renaissance " A big deal was made that Guillme Leserve, the President of the c of s had picked out all the wines. It wasn't stated but assumed he had been chosen for this task because he was French! LOL. CC even hired a very French and extremely snooty Mait'rde . I guess c of s had done a survey and discovered that all French Mait'rdes are SNOOTY. At least they got that right! Their food wasn't that good.

I remember when we were working on opening the Manor Hotel, we had to find a way to get Phil into a Wolfgang Puck restaurant for experience. We found a public on lines at CC that worked at one of Puck's eight restaurants (not sure how many he has now, but it was eight back then) and got approval for Phil to go work as volunteer. They thought it was pretty batty for someone to come work for free so they said sure! And he was there all day every day for weeks practicing.

But Wolfgangs restaurants are not all the same. I cant remember the name of the one that he was in, but the chefs name was Jody (A guy). I think it was California Cuisine.

We tried to get into his French restaurant but it never did work out.

I remember we got the pastry Chef from Flag. A french guy. I cant remember his name but he was adorable little skinny guy.

He would make fresh desserts every day for the restaurant and for the Rose Cafe and for brunch.

About a year later, being California, there were a lot of requests for sugar free or reduced sugar pastries.

You should have seen the tirades and screaming from this pastry chef. He had never been so insulted in his life and flatly REFUSED to make anything without sugar. It was funny!

I don't know if you read my thread in "off topic" regards celeb gossip, but I worked for Wolfgang at his first restaurant for a couple years. It is true, he had all sorts of guest chefs all training. I remember the head pastry chef Nancy Silverton very fondly. She got so sick of the waiters eating her cookies that one night she put a fresh sheet pan of cookies out in easy access. Soon many had been snagged and eaten. I stole and ate one. LOL, Nancy had laced all those cookies with hot red chili flakes!!

just an aside... Nancy Silverton, years later built her own bakery empire worth 50 million dollars! She started LaBrea Bakery and was selling her "artisan" bread all the way to the Mississippi Valley.

FB = Flag Base? Don't know what you mean by FB groups. Well for years and years I dreamed of going to Flag. "The Mecca of technical perfection". I never made it there as a Scientologist . Now of course my viewpoint has changed.

If COB has his way - every judge will have a "tech" dictionary at his finger tips, bowl of shells and CLAY!:wink2: There will also be a "word clearer" in every court room equipped with an e-meter.

I have no idea. Hubbards family was not talked about much, but after about 1987 I never saw any of them, except Diana Hubbard, who was in Exec Strata. And the grand-daughter was at PAC very briefly, in the Cadet Org.

In 2001 I heard that she was on lines at a mission. I don't remember where, in the valley or maybe Glendale? The only reason I know this is that my boss's boyfriend, at the time, was in an ethics cycle there at that mission where he was on staff. He was being accused of having an affair with Suzette.

I never heard about Suzette re-joining the Sea Org. I think she stayed connected up to the church for PR purposes, (Ha!) and to maintain her comm-lines that she had in the church. I always heard about the Hubbard kids staying connected to the church, (often attending events, etc.) but being semi-disaffected or off-lines, which was obviously taboo to talk about. This was explained to me as due to them being out-ethics and not connected to Source. Growing up, I always found it to be so disconcerting for Hubbard's own children to be disaffected. It was one of SEVERAL reasons I was disaffected for a majority of my life in Scn.
