Scientologists raising money for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi

Scientologists raising money for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Excerpt:
Speaking of donations, a tipster pointed out that Scientologists are helping to raise money for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi in her re-election effort.

Super-rich church members Michael and Liz Baybak — huge donors to Scientology — are hosting a party for Bondi on Tuesday, and you can go too — as long as you fork over a minimum of $1,000…

Our tipster tells us that Scientology’s whales have been invited to the event, which is being organized by OT 8s Brett Miller and Jill Hagan. (The Sigals are also high on the Bridge.) Besides the Baybaks, Trish Duggan is also expected to attend. (Bob and Trish Duggan are by far the biggest donors to Scientology, having given what we estimate to be more than $50 million.)

We’re also told that Scientologists are spreading the rumor that Bondi has visited the Fort Harrison Hotel several times, and that she also had the church’s “Truth About Drugs” material available in her office. Church members are being told that Bondi is in a tough race, and Scientologists need to do what they can to help her win. (Actually, Bondi, a Republican and an incumbent, is expected to sail easily to re-election in November.)

Now that’s some good “safepointing” in action. You think Pam will go home with a full copy of RON: The Encyclopedia?

All the other guy has to do is publicize the fact that the "AG is backed by a cult" & "AG is accepting money from a cult that may be subject to prosecution by the AG".

OR

"What do the Scientologist want from this candidate?"

Ok.... that would kick up a hornets nest.... or a sciobot nest... do sciobots nest?

Pam Bondi's Clearwater fundraiser organized by Scientologists

Joe Childs at the Tampa Bay Times now has the story:

Pam Bondi's Clearwater fundraiser organized by Scientologists
http://www.tampabay.com/news/scient...undraiser-organized-by-scientologists/2186599

Excerpt:
Attorney General Pam Bondi, who already has raised millions for her re-election campaign, can expect to pull in more dollars tonight at a Clearwater fundraiser where all six organizers are prominent members of the Church of Scientology.

Bondi's "special guest,'' the invitation says, will be U.S. Rep. David Jolly, R-Indian Shores.

Hosting the event are Liz and Michael Baybak, owners of a 23rd-floor penthouse in the swank Water's Edge condos downtown. The tower, perched on a 40-foot bluff, affords stunning views of Clearwater Harbor to the west and, in every other direction, Scientology's many buildings.

Baybak is chief executive of Michael Baybak and Company, a Clearwater-based business services consulting firm. Baybak and his wife have been major donors to Scientology. They also have been occasional contributors to congressional candidates, federal elections records show. They could not be reached for comment.

Other organizers are Brett Miller, who has been active for years in local Republican politics, and his wife, Dr. Jill Hagan, a Clearwater dentist; and Joanie and Steve Sigal, co-founders of a Clearwater marketing company, SJS Associates. The two couples also have contributed to local, state and congressional candidates, most of them Republicans.

Reached by phone Monday, Miller and Steve Sigal hung up on a reporter, refusing to discuss how many guests are expected and whether any non-Scientologists are invited, other than Bondi and Jolly.

Bondi is aware Scientologists are staging the event, said campaign spokeswoman Christina Johnson. She said Bondi first connected with Scientologists in 2010 when she and other elected officials toured some of the church's Clearwater facilities. Bondi spoke then to a group of Scientologists about human trafficking and the evils of pill mills, a topic that resonated because Scientologists sponsor what they tout as the largest antidrug program in the world.

Clearly a violation of IRS Rules for Non-Profits. OTVIII Brett Miller is working to get Pam Bondi to endorse Scientology - A Bribery Fundraising event will be held and he is asking members to donate $1,000 towards her campaign fund.

Naughty-naughty!

Write to Pam Bondi - send her the stories Scientology has not told her. Tell her that she needs to do her own research about what she is endorsing and not just believe the Propaganda the Church fed her in exchange for waxing reviews about the Cult of Scientology.

Hey ,I recently heard something on NPR about a big court case ruling that somebody felt that prohibiting religious groups from forming lobbying groups violates both the free association and freedom of religion clauses of the constitution and that this group has deep pockets and won't wilt in the face of the high court.
I hope the cult is not trying to piggyback off this to pull the wool over people's eyes and gain more influence over legitimate authorities, as they already infiltrate and run espionage operations routinely against the government!

I think that the way to go with this is not IRS and the court system. Rather, the way to go would be to massively embarrass Pam Bondi in a very public way.

The non-culties hate the culties in Florida. That has not been exploited nearly enough on this one. Not yet.

Yes - mockingbird - Scientology IS doing this in order to keep the "Show on the Road". It makes a buttload of money and is playing a big game - a very dangerous game....one, if they get caught, will be one of the largest, longest lasting ponzi schemes that ever hit Teegeack.

Scientology is the science of pulling the wool over people's eyes, heads, bodies, souls, minds, emotions, children, bank accounts, beliefs and ideas to gain more influence over Scientology's massive billion dollar bank accounts.

Now you are thinking like a TRUE BLUE ENEMY of the CULT! :coolwink:

VWD!! You have to bypass the target and get to the whales and bodies of influence. Once you disable those that support - it is all over. And ... this can be done totally legally - just tell the truth.

Rathbun: ‘Scientology never endorsed anyone where there wasn’t a clear self-interest’

Tony Ortega now has the story with a comment by Mark "Marty" Rathbun:

Rathbun: ‘Scientology never endorsed anyone where there wasn’t a clear self-interest’
http://tonyortega.org/2014/07/01/ra...yone-where-there-wasnt-a-clear-self-interest/

Excerpt:
Former Scientology official Marty Rathbun testified last year that the church spent about $30 million trying to influence prosecutors, judges, and other officials in order to derail that prosecution. (The state ultimately dropped charges in 2000 after a county medical officer changed McPherson’s manner of death under intense pressure.)

We talked to Rathbun about Scientology’s previous attempts to influence Florida’s politics with fundraisers.

“Scientology never endorsed anyone where there wasn’t a clear self-interest,” Rathbun told us. “They’ve never supported a candidate or an issue for the good of the country. It’s all self-interest, and they’ll make sure Bondi knows that this is the church and these are Scientologists. Otherwise they wouldn’t do it.”

The Bondi event is being organized by OT 8 Scientologist Brett Miller, according to the flier. We left a message for Miller to ask about how many people would be attending and if all of the attendees would be Scientologists, but we didn’t get a response.

Scientologists Host Pam Bondi Fundraiser Tonight

Broward Palm Beach New Times: Scientologists Host Pam Bondi Fundraiser Tonight
http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/pulp/2014/07/scientologists_host_pam_bondi_fundraiser_tonight.php

Excerpts:
So there's a big party and fundraiser for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi tonight, in some swanky digs in Clearwater. If you're in the neighborhood and have a spare grand, you might wanna drop by. Just be prepared to be audited at the door. Not IRS audited. Scientology audited.
Bondi's homophobia should be a good fit with that of Scientology. According to one cult text:
Homosexuals don't practice love; 1.1s [gobbledy-gook alert] can't. Their relationships consist of: 1) brief, sordid and impersonal meetings or 2) longer arrangements punctuated by dramatic tirades, discords, jealousies and frequent infidelity. It could hardly be otherwise since the tone is made up of suspicion and hate, producing a darling sweetness interspersed with petty peevishness. Their "love" turns to deep contempt eventually.
Ortega today rebroadcast the Times story and furthered it with comment from former Scientology official Marty Rathbun:
Scientology never endorsed anyone where there wasn't a clear self-interest," Rathbun told us. "They've never supported a candidate or an issue for the good of the country. It's all self-interest, and they'll make sure Bondi knows that this is the church and these are Scientologists. Otherwise they wouldn't do it.

Florida AG Pam Bondi raising money from wealthy Scientologists in Clearwater today

Tony Ortega has the story up on Raw Story:

Florida AG Pam Bondi raising money from wealthy Scientologists in Clearwater today
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/07/...from-wealthy-scientologists-in-florida-today/

Excerpt:
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is running for re-election this year, and she’s looking for help in an unusual place — the Church of Scientology.

Bondi is a Republican and former prosecutor who was endorsed by Sarah Palin when she ran for election and won in 2010. Most recently, she’s been in the news for announcing that she would be vigorously defending Florida’s ban on gay marriage in the federal courts.

And on Tuesday evening, she’s having a campaign fundraiser at the home of Michael and Liz Baybak, wealthy longtime Scientologists who are known for donating large sums to the church and also for making donations to political campaigns.

The event is being organized by Brett Miller, another longtime church member, as well as three other Scientologists, and attendance requires a donation of at least $1,000 per person.

We left a message for Miller to ask about how many people would be attending and if all of the attendees would be Scientologists, but we didn’t get a response.

Bondi spoke then to a group of Scientologists about human trafficking and the evils of pill mills, a topic that resonated because Scientologists sponsor what they tout as the largest antidrug program in the world. At Tuesday’s fundraiser, she will return to those themes, Johnson said. “It’s like-minded folks sharing the same goals: Protecting children against drug overdoses and human trafficking,” Johnson said. One of those topics rings with irony. From 2009 to 2011, the FBI investigated church work sites, primarily in California, focusing on physical and mental restrictions and probing whether they constituted human trafficking. The investigation ended with no charges filed.” (via Tampa Bay Times)

They are publicly announcing this? :duh: Oye vey. They are stupid. Hello IRS.....we got a problem.

When I google Pam Bondi - the very first site on the list is: http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/07/...from-wealthy-scientologists-in-florida-today/

I love the moles!!

"News of the unusual fundraiser broke on Sunday at the Scientology watchdog website tonyortega.org, where a flier for the Bondi event was posted. The flier — which wasn’t meant to be distributed outside of wealthy Scientology members — indicated that the event would take place in the Baybaks’ 23rd-floor condominium in Clearwater, which is a town that houses one of Scientology’s most important international headquarters, the “Flag Land Base.”

Check out the Florida Attorney General's Wesite:http://myfloridalegal.com/

The very first sentence begins:

"Florida is a Zero-Tolerance State for Human Trafficking."

Welcome to Flag - the Mecca of Human Trafficking!:whistling: Where Scientologist's check in - but they don't check out.

Now that is one hell of an oxymoron!

Definition of oxymoron:

  • expression with contradictory words: a phrase in which two words of contradictory meaning are used together for special effect, e.g. "wise fool" or "legal murder"
