It looks like you have to be registered to see the thread over there. Loved the letter and welcome!!!! Poor Daniel at Flag, he has no idea what people are talking about when he has to "handle them" since he's not allowed to see any of the material himself and doesn't have the luxury of thinking for himself.

Scientologist & Former Narconon Exec's Resignation Letter to Chief Public MAA

Reprinted with permission:

Congratulations, Eric!!

Re: Resignation from the Church of Scientology

Dear Daniel,
I started out being indoctrinated to Scientology while a patient at Narconon Chilocco.
This was done masked in treatment for addiction and at a time I was extremely vulnerable. I
was not aware that this was occurring but after time progressed I thought that the normal
operations of the program were what was helping me. I even joined staff as I believed what was
helping was the tech and I wanted to help others. What I've learned from being off of staff now
is that it wasn't the program that helped me, it was just keeping busy and changing my
environment, something I could have done on my own and for free. When I stopped working
for Narconon all of the things that were supposedly handled through the program and all the
auditing that I did were actually not. Things were actually worse as I had a false sense of my
abilities and unrealistic expectations of how things would go when I left. These things were a
direct result of me having bought the lies and false sense of security that Scientology sells and I
take full responsibility for that.

As time progressed and the indoctrination continued after I completed the program I
made the choice to start auditing with Mary Reiser (who, if you dont know, is probably going to
jail for fraud and lied to courts saying her Narconon was an inpatient facility. This lie resulted in
the death of one of their students). She would come out to the center and audit staff there
once a month. The auditing was sold to me as if it was the additional steps needed to stay clean
and progress in life. As I look back on it now that was just a lie. A lie told to get a person to buy
the Purif, a lie told to get a person to do the Drug Rundown, A lie told to sell intensives to buy
NED Drug Rundown, A lie told to get you to buy OT packages, just plain old lies. As I look at
Scientology now I see that it preys on people's desire to want to grow spiritually with promises
of abilities that can't be attained through its practices. It does this through a barrage of reg
cycles, massive amounts of promotional materials and a technology that seems plausible unless
you dig a little. Unfortunately, I did not dig or think critically about what was being sold until
recently.

When I came to FLAG I was expecting to do the CCRD, instead I was greeted with the
words "I AM NOT AUDITING YOU". 3 Intensives of Sec Checks after being told repeatedly I was
going there for the CCRD. The Sec Check came as a result of KRs written on me by Narconon Int
staff based on lies from Per Wickstrom and Phil Hart. If you remember, my wife and I uncovered
millions of dollars in debt, fraud, unpaid taxes and tons of unpaid refunds from Per and Kate.
We even went so far as to lend NN $250k of our own money to stop things like the power from
being shut off, the IRS coming in to take away all the assets, the food companies cutting us off
and people suing Narconon. All of these thing were reported to the HIGHEST levels of
Scientology. OSA, RTC, AOLA and FLAG as well as ABLE Int, NN Int and the Church of Scientology
of Battle Creek. How was I repaid? NN Int sent a team of staff out to the center to ask for my
resignation because I would not continue to work with Per. How else did I get paid back? It
took me literally thousands of emails and countless hours to get NN to even agree to pay back
the money I lent them to keep the operation going. In the end I had to threaten to sue to get
them to just practice fair exchange. Is this the actions of the "most ethical group on the
planet"? I think not.

Up to this point I have kept quiet and tried to give the Church the benefit of the doubt. I
looked on the internet and did some real research that is not biased in favor of the church and
what do I find? Death, torture, mind control, fraud, child labor, attacks and lies. All perpetrated
to silence people or continue the flow of cash into the scientology coffers. I just can't be quiet
any longer or not participate as I was doing. I'm sure all manner of reasons will be assigned to
my departure, trust me, it's for no other reason than I am consciously choosing not to be a part
of the criminal organization that is scientology. If you noticed I am no longer capitalizing the
word scientology and when I refer to it from now on it will be as a "church". The "church" of
scientology is not one at all.

When we last communicated I was asking some pretty tough questions about why so
many people have been declared under David Miscavige's leadership and you told me that you
knew where this info had come from. Your answer was to direct me to the "tech". It struck me
as a bit odd and then I realized you and so many others in the SO aren't able to think critically or
look at the truth. I implore you and any others in the SO who are able to read this to look and
not follow so blindly. The truth is out here, not in there. It may hurt a bit to find out what you
have been doing is a lie and based on pseudoscience, but the end result far outweighs the pain.
If at any time you want to contact me, feel free, you have my email. You also have my
address. I assume you will be sending me something stating I am a Suppressive Person, if not
fine, if so, feel free, I cannot and will not be affected by these practices or treat them as
legitimate because I KNOW THE TRUTH AND IT HAS SET ME FREE. Hopefully someday it will set
you free also.

Sincerely,
Eric Tenorio

As first a patient there, and then a worker at Narconon, Eric lent/gave them $250,000 so they could pay utility bills? And then Scientology has the nerve to security check a person who gave them that kind of money?

You would think that these days, the risk would be too great of putting executives in the Hole, or doing this kind of security checking on a wealthy worker, but evidently, it isn't. What hope is there for the people who spent their last dime on Narconon, and face no real job prospects except working for them?

If anyone can ask Eric, I think it would be interesting to know these days, what he feels was the most effective barrier that was used, to prevent him from looking on the Internet earlier than he did?

In Dec. 1995, there were 16 million users of the Internet. By 2005, it had grown to 1018 million users and in 2012, it grew to 2405 million users, about 34.3% of the world's population.

The use of mobile devices and sites like YouTube and Facebook have grown the Internet even more, as a way of exploring niche interests and areas especially -- including Scientology -- in addition to greater detail about news events.

The Internet has become fully integrated with college work, and in many high schools too. So, if is used to study and expand areas of interest. If people are interested in Scientology, why the hell aren't they using the Internet to explore it fully before devoting so much of their time and life to it?

They have hundreds of books and a variety of courses to choose from in Scientology -- why aren't they using the Internet to help them make those choices?

I guess there still must be people than when they are buying a TV set, they'd rather go to Sears and listen to the sales person tell them what TV is the best for them, than read on the web what all sorts of technical experts and users have to say about the TV?

At what point does the Internet become attractive to people as the valuable source of information that it is? How long can the cult keep imposing this concept of, "Most of the stuff about Scientology on the Internet is false, especially by people who were in it for decades but left, but what LRH says, and what we say is true. We have your best interests at heart. The Internet is evil and wants to deceive and mislead you. Our 1950's Dianutty tech is better and you will learn to be certain of that. Now, see the Registrar."

Ohrly? Does anyone have any intell on this claim? I'd love to know if the IRS is finally getting off their fat asses and looking into some of this.

This occurred back in 2008 2009 at Narconon Stone Hawk. I believe the reasons for the very large assessments were due violations of nonprofit status -personal inurement by Per and Kate Wickstrom because they not only received high salaries but they received rents via their other company, TIA CORP. They were also not paying in withholding taxes as required. The IRS, the state taxation dept and the state workers compensation all had liens on the company. Rather than lose the IRS status, I believe they were assessed taxes penalties and interest and Narconon Int cancelled their license

I am Eric. You can ask me anything you want. Here's a list of posts ive held and been trained in. I worked at Chilocco, Arrowhead, Stone Hawk, Freedom Center and Spring Hill. On the "church" side of things I went up through NED, originated Clear and was sent to Flag to do CCRD. Didnt quite happen though. "I am not auditing you" and "Give me more money" were pretty much all I heard.

Boson Wog Stark asks,

"If anyone can ask Eric, I think it would be interesting to know these days, what he feels was the most effective barrier that was used, to prevent him from looking on the Internet earlier than he did?"

When I first went to Narconon in 1996 the internet was not that big of a deal. Obviously before I got there my main motivation was not sitting around on the computer and researching what was best for me. I shot heroin, smoked crack, drank and whatever else as much and as often as I could. The people I was hanging around with, most of them died of overdoses after me going in to treatment so there was no one to be like "hey, you are in a cult". I myself have been dead 5 times from overdoses but through 5 separate miracles, Im still here. So you can see, the internet was the last thing on my mind before I left. When I got there I had no one really to talk to at home except my parents. They didnt give two shits where I was at as long as I was staying clean, alive and out of trouble. When I was working there was also not that much contact with people "at home" as most were dead or in rehabs/using themselves. When the internet became more accessible I did occasionally look at things, but the claims made seemed so unbelievable I did not give them that much credence. I simply believed the counter stories put out by the church as they were written in what seemed like a much more logical manner. You want to know what one of the tipping points for me was? David Miscavige getting in front of thousands of scientologists and passing off stats I knew first hand were false. I can see other people lying, but to have the leader lie opened the door for me. After that it was a natural progression towards the door.

Church of Cylontology asks,

"Ohrly? Does anyone have any intell on this claim? I'd love to know if the IRS is finally getting off their fat asses and looking into some of this. "

The IRS only cares about $$$. That is their job. As long as you dont break any laws, you can buy your way out of any debt. In the times I helped Narconon financially, money made them go away. Im sure you are aware of the history of the IRS and scientology. Not all agents are willing to take on the legal juggernaut of the church. These things happened in 2008 and 2009 as well and they are currently paying off their debt to my understanding.

I think the more important point you missed in the resignation letter was that the church knowingly protected and kept in business a person found to have been committing fraud in the name of Narconon. He was kept in business not because he had a talent for helping people or getting the technology applied correctly, but because he could make money. Lots of it. This shows their true motivation.

More on this thread :)

I think that NarCONon is the cult's weak point right now. It's always nice to see more potential 'raw meat' for the FBI and DHS investigations. I wonder how many more "bodies in the shop" the feds will need to bring the whole thing down?

I think that NarCONon is the cult's weak point right now.

I couldn't agree more. About three years ago I realized that lawsuits against the Church of Scientology were going to go nowhere because of US courts' doctrine of "ministerial exception" and shifted my activism to Narconon.

As front groups purporting to be secular organizations Narconon and all the other fronts groups cannot count on ministerial exception.

What we need now are complainants who refuse to settle and demand a jury trial.

When it is established in a court of law that Narconon is Scientology, Narcxonon is dead in the water forever.
