I’m afraid that this whole saga is very familiar. The cult of Scientology has often resorted to bully-boy legal tactics to prevent the truth coming out. Andrew Morton’s publishers were cowed into not releasing his bio of TC in the UK, Russell Miller was threatened with legal action when he wrote ‘Bare Faced Messiah’ and so were several other authors who wrote books about Scientology.

It appears that they have done it again with John’s book here. I questioned Amazon why they had withdrawn this book from their catalogue and got a rather evasive answer. But, it appears that the CoS have taken legal action to prevent this book from being sold outside of Ireland.

It seems to me more than a coincidence that the Leaving Scientology and WWP web sites have been taken down and then John’s book gets stomped on within such a short period of time. David Miscavige will have seen the protests outside St Hill for the IAS event last week. I’m sure that he will have demanded action.

The ‘church’ of Scientology claims to support freedom of speech, but this is manifestly a lie. They are suppressors of free speech as demonstrated by this action against someone simply trying to tell his story.

What are you afraid of Scientology, why are you preventing this book from being sold? You cannot claim that it will ruin your reputation – it couldn’t be any worse! You don’t seem to realise that suppressing this book will create even more bad publicity for yourselves and confirm what people already think of you. You are a cult that cannot tolerate criticism.

Well it doesn’t end here, you cannot silence the truth.

Can I ask everyone to find any news sites that mention John’s book and let them know what has happened.
