Just to avoid any confusion, the Mace-Kingsley group in Clearwater is not a child-care facility, it is a field auditing group, situated basically adjacent to Clearwater Academy (the combination of what used to be A to B and I believe Jefferson Acadamey and maybe some other small ones) on Drew Street, near Myrtle Ave. It used be located in the same building as TRUE School/Delphi, but moved about 10 years ago into the new space.

FWIW, the staff at MK Clearwater are some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet and have been known to complain privately about the horrible treatment they receive from management. I think most of the staff there genuinely do think the auditing will help the kids and do want the kids to do well. I doubt many of them are anything like the former ranch staff members. Whether they are misguided is another question.

Hello there....

Not to be the be the bad news bearer or anything.... But I graduated from the ranch in 2002. I am sure you played a part in the ranch being run out of Reserve and into Carrizozo, NM. But unfortunately for me, you did not close it. Thankfully I made friends with two people who worked at the ranch who managed to whisk me away to Colorado for a few months when things really started to go down hill. This ranch was much worse than the one in Reserve. No electricity and in an even more remote location in the mountains.

Hey IClosedMaceKingsley, I was at the ranch from 2000 to 2001. I came across your post and am very very sad to say that Kristy has passed away. She died around 2003. She was dropped off around 6am at her house one morning by some anonymous people. She was seizing and this caused a lot of noise which woke her mom. Her mom went downstairs and called an ambulance. She was on life support for a day or two and there was nothing else they could do. They had to pull the plug. They found traces of a date-rape drug and I believe cocaine in her system. She was only 20 years old and she was one of my best friends in the world. We had top bunks next to each other in the girls' dorm and helped each other run secret love relationships with the guys we liked so none of the staff would find out. Very fond memories.

I know all of the guys you mentioned but I'm not sure where they are. I found a lot of people on Myspace and Facebook though. You might want to give that a shot.
