Hey Grundy,

Good to hear from you! Sorry I didn't write back for a couple of days - I'm
trying to stay away from the computer.

I'm fine. We were actually on a plane to Xi'An right as the earthquake hit -
we hadn't taken off yet. We felt the earthquake all the way in Beijing while
we were grabbing some noodles in the airport. Anyway, the plane was delayed
for a couple hours, but that's about all the inconvenience we suffered - so
don't worry, we're not dead.

Right now I'm in this amazing little enclave outside of Guilin. We've got a
river right in front of our room, and huge karsts, and bamboo rafts... the
whole thing. We're having a great time. Leaving for (edited by Grundy) in 2 hours. Talk soon!
