It's okay. If elron thought FDR was Xenu reincarnated that just makes it more lulzy!!!

And I'm pretty sure FDR's descendents wouldn't appreciated Flubbard's really nasty comments about him.:omg:

and more..

Oh Boy. Got my invitation today and have been steamed ever since!
Why?
Well, beyond the obvious, the abuse of $cios own staff and public, this hits a nerve for me.

Firstly, they have a pretty impressive roster of speakers. One that stood out for me is FORD ROOSEVELT on behalf of ELEANOR ROOSEVELT. Now my little brain is in overdrive because I KNOW I have heard LRH talk pretty derogatorily(sp?) about FDR and the "New Deal". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he even made fun of him and had a nasty crack about him being a cripple. I'm sure I've heard it.

Maybe FORD would like the true data on what Scio. thought of his family.

Don't worry OSA, I have all of the tech vols, and tape transcripts to pour through to get my quotes right.

Secondly, guess who is the chief rep. for Artists for Human Rights along with UNITED NATIONS DELIGATES?? ANNE ARCHER!!!! The woman responsible for the spawn of Tommy Davis, liar extrodinare!!!! Tommy and Anne need to check their M/Us on the "right to privacy". Mr. John Sweeny certainly did not enjoy this right as a guest in the US due to Tommy's constant surveilence of him and his crew!!!

Thirdly, check out this list!!!!AFHR Executive Administration:
Anne Archer
Maria Ferrara
Pomm Hepner
Donna Isham
Vanessa Stoller
Michael Wisner

Advisory Board:
Kirstie Alley
Nazanin Boniadi
David Campbell and Raven Kane Campbell
Michael Cory JDavis
Nancy Cartwright
Kate Ceberano
Chick Corea
Thomas Dine
Michael Doven
Davis Guggenheim
Deborah Haggis
Paul Haggis
Hack Healey
Roban Hogarth
Mark Isham
Kate Edeman Johnson
Taron Lexton
Dr. Tom Lovejor
Priscilla Preseley
Kelly Preston
Audrey Schmedes
Karen Scott
Elizabeth Shue :omg: (Is she a Scio? I loved her in leaving LosVegas!!:omg: )
Michael Stoller, Esq.
Keisha Whitaker

This annoys me on many levels. Another example of $cios. double standard. This piddley shit "summit" will be what most of those listed above will use as their "big contributions" to advancing Scio. on their OT checkups. However, this summit will certainly NOT interfere with Diet Ads. ,shopping, hair appts. and dancing shows!!! What a crock.

Can anybody help me with the quotes??

Maria Ferrara is actually the President of CCI..it was a little known fact in 2006, pretty much kept under wraps. and I'm pretty sure she still is. Ford actually approached I believe it was Anne Archer in either NY or DC and told her he was in agreement with Scn Human rights issues and then he was asked or volunteered to speak at the Forum(with AFHR) which is next weekend. The above are very excited about the prospect of aligning themselves with such a human rights advocate as Ford...as you can bet.

You sure that quote isn't in the Congresses Sandy Girl? Do you have those?
If so, check the glossaries..also, I believe it was actually Eleanor that Ford takes after as far as human rights stuff..

Well, that sucks. If he's in agreement I mean. But it would still be a good event to protest.

Is it at CC?

if he's in agreement then he needs informed - all the more reason to protest & harpoon.

Looks like anon made the FDR connection in past travels, here's the trail blazed:

LRH on Franklin D. Roosevelt, AKA "Frankie the Limper"
In 'The Free Being (1963)', L. Ron Hubbard babbled:
For instance, Frankie the Limper, over there, during the 30s, he wrote out a big check. He wrote out a big check. He only thought in terms of billions and things, and he wrote out this three billion dollar check and he handed it over and he says, “Build an atom bomb, and there you are, wipe out cities and so on.”

Well, the knucklehead, he had Congress under his thumb, he had everything under his thumb, it was all set and roaring to go. He could have written out another check for three billion dollars and given it to another group and said, “Build a defense for an atom bomb.” But you notice he didn’t do that. See what I mean?

He said, “Build an atom bomb. Here’s three billion dollars.” He didn’t say at the same time,
“Here’s three billion dollars, build a defense for an atom bomb.” So, you lay into a meat -
body society the skill to trap a thetan. Why don’t you teach him how to free one, see?

and another from old enturb thread - unfortunately the link to the audio is no longer working

from ACC lecture from 1954 (9 years before the above St. Hill lecture). Hubbard discusses hypnosis & it seems Hubbard thought and taught that FDR engaged in mass hypnosis to give everyone the psychosomatic symptoms of polio.
Well, this practice of hypnotism is an expert, well-travelled, extremely well practiced suppression on as many dynamics as possible. Where one individual is concerned, or where a group is concerned. It's also expressed as "mass hysteria", you'll have large masses of people go into an hysteria of getting a similiar illness.

It is enough for some fellow to come along and be President of the United States -- who had a gimpy leg, and was moaning and groaning around about polio -- to shoot upscale the percentage of polio incidence in the United States to a point where it's now quite an alarming illness.

See, he popularized it. Actually he was in a position of authority and control and he all of a sudden could start talking about this polio, polio, and giving himself, an object example, of people who have illness or actually simply communicating--

Any form, any shape is a communication, by the way, let me interject that. Any form, any shape is a communication. When a person becomes absolutely insistent upon communication, he starts to take solid form. When a person is entirely insistent upon communication he gives it solid form, you understand that. You put it in writing. That's the first thing, next thing you know he's wearing a somatic.

This solid form relay of communication is expressed on a sort of hypnotic level. All of a sudden someone in power can communicate to everybody about what they ought to have, you know, by just being there, they ought to immediately have themselves a fine case of polio, and sure enough polio becomes an alarming disease. Adults all over the place are getting polio now. Who ever heard of polio before this?

OK so he would be in agreement with what the church SAYS it's position is, who wouldn't be?

If Adolph Hitler had started the "Benevolent fund for Jewish children" a lot of people would be in agreement with it......until......

Yep, a lot of people believe that the CofS are actively reducing human rights abuses. Like the celebrities on the list who are supporting the summit. For example, Kate Ceberano is a real honey. She has NO idea at all of what goes on behind the scenes in orgs (her mum certainly does though).

The summit would be a great opportunity to expose the human rights abuses within the church. Need some smart idea/covert plan to get the true data into the hands of all those involved (make it glossy, and get it sandwiched between all the Scn stuff - nup wouldn't work - that stuff normally goes in the trash). The celebs and participants won't give "protesters" a second thought (it'd probably get good media attention though). Would be good to have/do something that would make them look or that would impinge on them.

You know those gift bags they give celebrities at events like the Academy Awards, etc? Wouldn't it be funny to set up some gift bags like that with some informational brochures included? Just saying...

Quote from Alex:

Um...SandyGirl FDR is also one of our countrys most reviled presidents...in some circles. Mostly to the right of the communist party though...

If you happen to be of Japanese descent you may remember the RPF, er I mean the internment of American citizens of that race....Executive order 9066....

His "new deal" socialism actually slowed down the recovery from the great depression....

FDR's alliance with Stalin, one of the truly evil genocidal maniacs of all time may have contributed to the death of millions...

And his insistance on unconditional surrender, prolonged the second world war and resulted in hundreds of thousands of American deaths...

Great president or great PR.

Study history.

alex

Alex, I get your point. I'm not even going to go into Roosevelt's presidency here. I never have claimed to be a history expert and the second WW is a blot on this country's past.

My point on this thread is that Scientology (LRH) presents himself as a history expert and likes to hold forth on it. He is especially critical of FDR and refers to him quite derogitorily. I'm not arguing if he is correct or not-I just feel that if the church wants to "present" his grandson, he certainly has a right to know what "source" is teaching his followers. Also, there IS incredible abuse and violation of rights in the sea org and Scio staff.

What I would like is the speaker to have BOTH sides before aligning himself at a Scio. front group event.

This is to Alex,
Well, the Japanese interment camps aren't something to be proud of but they can hardly be compared to the freaking RPF. The Japanese weren't made to run around a pole for hours on end for one thing. I don't think they were even made to work if memory serves me right. And they were allowed to leave when the war was over. They weren't subjected to endless hours of brainwashing and they got some restitution after the fact.

Sandygirl, I don't want to nitpick but WWII was one of our country's shining moments except for a few things like the interment camps. Remember WE were attacked by the Japanese, and yes, the government went overboard in interring any and all Japanese in this country. And of course, dropping the bomb on Hiroshima. Some would argue with that being a mistake since it ended that part of the war immediately. It's a personal opinion I guess either way. But to say WWII was our blot is incorrect. We defended ourselves. And we also helped defend the rest of the world from Hitler. So all in all the good was greater then the bad, imo. Anyway, enough with the history stuff!

I agree with what you said. I guess I just meant that any war is not the best way human can solve problems but you're correct in that getting rid of Hitler was the right thing to do. It's a frightening vision to imagine the world if he had gained the power he sought!!!!!

But....speaking of evil, power hungry dictators..............does anyone have any ideas about the "summit"?

PS OSA...I strongly support human rights and thought the dvd the COS made illustrating each point was quite well done. Too bad you can't follow what you try to present to others..........

Well the main questions I see are:

Do the speakers UNDERSTAND that the ARTISTS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS is a front group for COS?

Does Ford Roosevelt really want to align himself with a group who believes every word uttered by their founder is SOURCE, and SOURCE refers to his grandfather as "Frankie the Limper"?

Do the speakers UNDERSTAND the scope of abuse in the SO?

What else...................

Gotcha sandygirl, I thought that's what you mean't, I just wanted to be sure.
I once had a teacher who was a member of the communist party. You wouldn't believe the things he TRIED to teach us!:omg: He didn't last long. But I am always suspect now to what people have been taught in school about the US.

But I am always suspect now to what people have been taught in school about the US.

Well, look at the lies coming forth right now in the mainstream media, backing up the White House, and rest assured that what is taught in school is certainly not going to be any better. Anyone teaching anything different is not going to last long, however true it might be.

The best thing to teach anyone is critical thinking skills and the willingness to LOOK, to "pull the string" when things don't add up and search for things that do add up. Even when the mainstream media or your friends say the exact opposite.

Please give me his email, I want to share with him the story of that poor RPF girl I knew, her attempted suicide was the only door out. Ford needs to know that.
