Brian Sheen's Disconnection Story Registry

I agree. And they will LIE. They will say literally anything to get you to do what they want you to do.
They will make promises, they will promise you what you want, a simple relationship with your own daughter.
But it will all be lies.

You might think she will get word that you are TRYING so hard to correct things through "proper channels" and maybe that would influence her to cut you some slack. But it won't. The only hope for her is that somehow she gets out of the trap:/

Thanks for insight...is it possible I have her there during this?

Really..and how would they keep me there..forcibly?

It happened to me. Guy locked the door and would not let me leave. Only way out would have been to beat the crap out of him to retrieve the key. Since he was a senior executive, that would have been all the pretext they needed to declare me. Plus there was a second guy there with a stick.

It might not happen with you, but they will tell you that if you walk out the door without signing what they want, then you are declared and all family will immediately be ordered to disconnect.

So, if you go in, you will not leave without giving them what they want, or they will declare you. If you refuse to show, then you are declared. If you sign what they want, then there is nothing stopping them from declaring you anyway, and then you are also inhibited from fighting back. You are screwed either way.

You could try telling them you will talk to them only outside the org, either in a nearby coffee shop, or in your car parked outside the org. If they refuse, then that tells you all you need to know.

Hello.Wow so much great work around the globe by so many looking for truth and justice to end the tyrannical stranglehold COS has around the necks of so many,

Personally I am moving forward with my civil rights violations claims and am also in conversation with the Florida Attorney General's office about The Church's violation of my constitutional rights and their fraudulent representations on their website concerning Human Rights, disconnection and their "Justice" procedures

Meanwhile my appeal of the Florida Civil Rights commission not investigating my complaint is moving ahead in the 4th District Court of Appeals

Does anyone know of others in this disconnection situation in Florida who would be willing to speak with me AND speak up?

I believe if I could add a handful more of similar cases it would have some impact on Florida AG..

Please let me know and with their email and phone number and I can take it from there

Brian Sheen continues to fight Scientology’s ‘disconnection’ in unique and unusual ways

By Tony Ortega, The Underground Bunker, April 8, 2016

Last July, we told you the complex saga of Brian Sheen, a Florida man whose grown daughter cut him out of her life on instructions of the Church of Scientology for reasons that were maddeningly murky.

Sheen had been very active in Scientology decades ago, but had left it in 1979. Since then, he’d never been antagonistic toward the organization, and he never discouraged his daughter Springsong from being a member. In 2014, he happily attended as Springsong married into a wealthy Scientology family — the Atkinson-Bakers, who own a national court-reporting business.

So when Sheen got a letter last April informing him that he had been declared a “suppressive person” by the Church of Scientology and would need to perform an amends project in order to get back into the good graces of the organization, he says he was completely taken by surprise. But more importantly, he soon heard from his daughter, who told him that until he completed the project, she couldn’t have anything to do with him. She was disconnecting.

Sheen has fought back in interesting ways. He filed a civil rights complaint to a Florida commission which was denied, and he created a website trying to raise awareness about Scientology’s policy that rips apart families.

And now that it’s been a year since he was declared, Sheen wanted to share with us what he’s been doing since we last wrote about him.

“I saw my daughter,” he told us, and that definitely got our attention. He said he went to see her on March 28. What happened? we asked him.

“I was out in California, and I went to her place and knocked on the door,” he said. And?

“I didn’t have any idea of what would happen. But it was very clear that she was really stressed out to see me, that’s for sure.”

So she wasn’t cooperative?

“The question she kept asking was, why are you here?”

When we wrote about Brian last July, we managed to get Springsong on the phone and talked to her for several minutes. Our conversation tended to bolster what Sheen had told us, that he believed she was disconnecting from him on instructions from the church and not because she really wanted to turn away from her own father. “I love my dad very much and I want him to sort things out. And he knows what he needs to do,” she told us.

But this time, Sheen says, things had changed.

“It’s clear that she looks at me like now I really am an enemy to the church, and therefore to her. And even though I tried to bring in information about what a fraud L. Ron Hubbard was, and why I’ve taken the position I have, it was just really weird,” he said. “It was like my daughter, who loves me, who I always had a loving relationship with, now it was dad, you need to go to the church and you need to do your ‘a to e.’ I told her there’s no way I’d submit myself to this church I call evil. They don’t follow their own policies, why should I pay them a few thousand dollars to get in good standing? They need to make amends to me.

“It didn’t go very well,” he added.

“At one point she said, ‘I’m not brainwashed. I’m not a robot.’ It’s clear to me they have spent a lot of time detailing to her what my ‘high crimes’ are supposed to be. She knows about my website. The TV spots. Your story about it.”

She may also have been told about a visit Sheen made in January to Scientology’s Flag Land Base in Clearwater.

“I wanted to see the Master at Arms. I wanted to see my file. Instead, they escorted me off the property and put a private investigator on me who followed me around Clearwater,” he said.

In an act of protest, Sheen posted a document at the Fort Harrison Hotel in the style of Martin Luther. Sheen’s “95 Theses” contained his indictments of Scientology, but they were quickly torn down by Scientologists who called the police on him.

It seems that Brian's out-of-the-blue ancient history declare and disconnection is a now a thing. There may be a recent effort going down to declare everybody who just quietly left in past decades because at least two people state they got the exact same letter Brian did.

This is the first time I've read anything about this (haven't been around much) and I'm still trying to understand this.

From what I get, they are sending these letters specfically to people who have family members still in.

Are they only sending them to family members who have children/relatives on staff? In the Sea Org? Is it just family members of Sea Org members at Flag? (if that's the case, it sounds like some sort of External Influences mission.)

If that's the case, it's obviously extortion. Come in and pay or never talk to your kid again.

If they're sending this to people who are just out with no family in, I'm clueless as to why they'd bother.

It boggles my mind that, with all the hatred of the COS that exists these days, that they'd go out of their way like this to generate more antagonism.

Someone needs to do "When you're in a hole, stop digging" in clay.

There is another possibility: Preemptive insulation.

The COS might be worried that someone who has left, such as Brian, might infect a staff member, Sea Orger, or even public with entheta and cause them to leave. The COS might be worried that to wait until it has received actual evidence that this is being done might be too late. Thus, preemptive insulation -- the Order that one do the A-E steps and get rejoin the group, or face disconnection.

The two possibilities -- extortion and preemptive insulation -- are of course not mutually exclusive.

Brian -- there's all the policy on Comm Evs and then there is what happens in real life. I was in the SO 1972-1996, at Saint Hill from 1972-1986 and then in LA (ITO mostly) for the remaining ten years.

In my experience, and from reading reports on ESMB, the Comm Ev works out pretty much as the guy(s) at the top of the heap -- not necessarily even the stated convening authority or IJC -- want it to. The Comm Ev members are not independent: if they don't write the findings and recommendations as the head cheese wants them the F&Rs get rejected and they are told to redo them. After a few bounces the Committee can get told that if they don't do what the poobah (same head cheese) wants then they will get comm-eved themselves. Remember also that the Committee members are usually doing the thing after normal post hours in their sleep time and want to get through it as fast as possible. In short, it tends to be a kangaroo court.

I suppose it could happen that it will be fair, but don't expect it to be.

Paul

I requested & got a comm ev. The findings were completely bogus & bore NO resemblance to anything that happened.

a review comm ev was even worse.

I appreciate people hoping that group will; apply " justice " but in all honesty I never got that or saw anyone else get any such thing.

They meter out exactly what the head person wants dealt out - period !

in scn, YOU don't count. Ever.

Ah, where is the actual declare ? Per there own policy, if it isn't written it isn't true " !

Has daughter READ the declare or just been TOLD about it ?

So much bogus about the way this was gone about by the cult BUT they have the daughter under their complete control.

I like the way the guy is getting the state to help protect his rights !

Learn how this cult uses fraud and mind control to manipulate people in giving them all their money and taking control of their lives. Follow the path one person, Brian Sheen, took that kept him in an hypnotic state for 45 years before he awakened to discover the massive fraud and mind control he had become a victim of which led to the ripping apart of his family from this cults policy of disconnection.

What comes back from a comm ev tends to make one wonder if somehow they go your " results " mixed up with someone else's as it breaks NO resemblance to what took place.

Seems to me the results are decided before the damn thing starts & all that happens is some poor staff members who couldn't get out of doing it were forced to forgo sleep to listen to stuff that have NO interest in & know the " big cheese " has already determined what is going to happen.

Can I say a complete fucking waste of time any plainer ?

Justice does not existence as part of scientology.

Those lofty things we once read ?Most of us now see as a pack of lies designed to tighten the trap on us.

I knew someone who was told that if they didn't do what a big-shot ethics officer told them they would be declared. They refused so they were declared on a trumped-up charge.

Then a second person was told to disconnect from that first person. They refused so they were declared.

Then a third person was told to disconnect from the second person. They refused. They weren't declared but were subjected to such oppressive ethics actions they left scientology.

Years later the first person had their comm ev reviewed and it was found to be illegal so their declare was lifted. By this time they were living with the second person who was still declared therefore the lifting of the first person's declare was largely pointless.
All three people are now out of scientology for good. Well done big-shot ethics officer.:goodjob:
