    In addition to using skip-tracing services, they also maintain records of who is acquainted with who. Then, whenever they call a Scn who IS in contact with them, they can ask "You have a current # or email for Joe Shmoe, or Sally Smith?" I had that happen to me.

    In these days of Facebook, LinkedIn, and the rest of social media, it is even easier to keep track of who the people who are associated with you are.
