There is a post a few back that tells the story that his sister was put in isolation by the COS (Introspection Rundown) similar to Lisa McPherson, and turned her into a walking zombie, so I think that may be the reason for the knife and likely he didn't care about legal consequences but wanted his pound of flesh should it come his way, which it evidently did. Whether for self defense or for intent to inflict harm, it seems, for me, because he was on the way out, that it was a last resort rather than an initial intent to do harm.

This is certain to lead to a trial and the best thing to do is to make it known far and wide rather than buried on page 41 at the bottom in 10 pt type. In other words, bring lots of attention to this case.

In America they use high powered pellet guns from about 1000 feet.

Lolks posted this article from The Daily Telegraph in Australia. The young man had not been allowed to see his mother who is in Scientology. Looks like Disconnection at work once again; this time to fatal results.
The teenage son of a member of the controversial Church of Scientology is under arrest after a feud with his mum ended in a fatal stabbing attack.
Police believe the 16-year-old brought a 25cm kitchen knife with him from the family’s Ryde home when he tried to see his mother at the church’s Sydney fortress, its $57 million headquarters, at Chatswood on Thursday.
A 24-year-old Taiwanese national, who works for the church, had his throat slashed and another staff member, aged 30, suffered cuts to his hand as they tried to escort the teenager up the long drive away from the building.
The church said in a statement the man killed was a “beloved” member of the congregation.
“This very unfortunate matter is in the hands of the police. We cannot make any further comment beyond the fact that the victim was a beloved member of our church,” it said in a statement.
“The church is providing the police with any assistance needed in their investigation.”
The tragedy followed a domestic incident involving the teenager and his family on Wednesday, police said.
A young Scientologist, who asked not to be identified, said the boy’s mother was inside the facility and he had been stopped from entering and seeing her.
After his mother told Scientology staff what had happened between them the day before, they decided to move him off the premises.
“He’s had a spin-out and they have tried to move him away to safety,” a source said.
Paramedics called to the centre on Grenville St about 12.30pm fought to save the 24-year-old’s life and he was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital but later died.
North Shore Police Area Command Detective Chief Inspector Simon Jones said police had to draw their Tasers to get the teenager to drop his knife.
“At this stage it is very early, it would appear the altercation or the reason a young person has been removed from the premises is only and solely related to a domestic incident that occurred yesterday,” Chief Inspector Jones said.
The teenager was taken to Chatswood Police Station, where he is assisting police with inquiries.
The Church of Scientology, which is anti-drugs and anti-psychiatry but believes in aliens, is best-known in Australia for revealing the horrors of Chelmsford Hospital on Sydney’s north shore through their offshoot the Citizens Commission on Human Rights.
Their campaign led to a royal commission which revealed at least 24 people died from so-called “deep sleep” treatment.
The Church of Scientology bought the Chatswood site for $37million.
The opening of their sprawling Australasian headquarters two years ago turned Sydney into a Scientology mega-hub and was hailed by the church as a “golden age” for Sydney.
One of Australia’s most famous Scientologists, Kate Cerebrano, performed at the opening, but it was not attended by former adherent James Packer, who was attracted to the church by one of his best mates, Tom Cruise.
The massive 13,500sq m building formerly housed the National Acoustic Laboratory and was bought by the church for $37 million before being gutted and renovated.
Despite scandals with ex-celebrity members, including actress Leah Remini, leaving its ranks, the church is going from strength to strength in Asia, particularly in Taiwan, from where many young people descend on Sydney to study expensive high-level “auditing” and other courses.
“It’s a huge building, a lot of people come from around Asia to study here,” the young church member said yesterday.
“It offers a lot of services other (Scientology properties) don’t.”

The real tragedy here is that when Scientology brings about results that damage people irreparably, these people have a tendency to return to get what Scientology caused, fixed.

These people are convinced that it is their flaws, and not Scientology's flawed practices that have caused their condition or that some character described on a chart has the ability to make people sick by restimulating their so called overt acts.

It's like a junkie turning to his dealer for a fix when it was the first fix that caused all the trouble. Scientology has too long a history of "bad results" to qualify as a religion.

It's a crime in itself that a technology that was proclaimed perfected by it's founder has any pitfalls at all. The number of correction lists alone is enough to tell you it is not only flawed, it's dangerous. A perfected technology does not have pitfalls. Wasn't that the point of all Hubbard's research, technical perfection?

No, that happened in 2013. Seriously doubt it was his Sister...or any relation at all.

But, I could be wrong. I've read nothing about any relationship, except his Mother. No mention of a Father yet...

I don't believe the Police have even released his name yet....and might not if he is a Minor.

Don't they have the common sense to use metal detectors when people enter their buildings especially during events where itsy bitsy is the maid of honor? You'd think that as people found out the truth about them they would find such security a top priority. Or are they going to have NOI handle that? Not saying they could have prevented the stabbing but it might have helped dissuade the perpetrator.

How many people do you think would take a personality test if they had to pass through a metal detector first?

Might put a dent in the BIS stat.

  8. DagwoodGum

    DagwoodGum Squirreling Dervish

True, but it wouldn't surprise me if they went to metal detectors, especially if something terrible happened where a metal detector would have been an advantage. They would just throw some downstat out to the wolves and have him do personality tests out front. Just guessing of course.

Yes. These are two entirely separate, unrelated incidents. The odds that the Alice Wu incident of 2013 is related to this one are exceedingly slim. COS sells services to thousands of people from Taiwan and recruits them to the Sea Org at Australia and Flag. Taiwan is probably their biggest market (and might be their only market that has expanded, actually.)

As a note, since I met and spoke with Alice and her brother personally in 2013, I can tell you that the parents were never in Scn and would never have joined after what happened to Alice. Alice Wu's brother is a calm, stable, polite young man who I could never imagine doing something like this. He's also thinner and at least seven years older than the perpetrator here and speaks English reasonably well. The incidents are unrelated.

I hope that Alice is doing OK.

Sounds like a terrible ordeal ....done by the hands of those in the Cult...

That's really sweet of you, Leland. I'm praying for her and her family, that maybe one day Alice will recover and that all their lives will turn out okay. I'll never forget them and what happened.

For what its worth....this RT News story about the Sea Org stabbing in Australia has a slightly different story.....

In the RT story the incident happened at 12:30 PM.
This would indicate to me that the kid was at the AO around noon...to see his mother. A proper time to do so IMO....as she should have been on lunch break.

Also the RT News story states that he was "dragged away...." which is not mentioned in other news stories...

Well, a bit more News in the above report.

It states that the kid had "family members" ...plural, at the AO.

But the News Report still persists in saying the situation has nothing to do with the Cult...

I don't see how the News can say that...

You watch, the story or different versions will fill the news with new details every day. This is how stories like this are covered now.

I have a tendency to believe the dragged part. people don't stab people in the neck for disagreements.

Now you have mental instability entering the picture. I predict family members will send letters concerning his mental state. Its COS SOP

All the news report does is quote the Chief Inspector:

    * * * * * BEGIN EXCERPT * * * * *

Chief Inspector Jones said the 16-year-old did not live at the facility but did have family members attending the church.

"All I can tell you, it was a domestic incident. It does not relate to the Scientology premises here," he told reporters on Thursday.

    * * * * * END EXCERPT * * * * *

I don't know what you expect the Chief Inspector to say if that is what the police have been told. More specifically, if the 16-year-old and/or their relatives are saying only, "He was angry because we imposed a curfew" or "He was angry because we withheld his allowance" or "He was angry because we grounded him for cutting class," what do you expect the Chief Inspector to say?

Your position seems to be that because this incident involved Scientologists and occurred at the AO, the underlying dispute MUST have involved Scientology no matter what anyone says.

Don't get me wrong, I too suspect the dispute concerned Scientology. I also suspect that all of the relatives may be lying. I also think we will probably get the truth from the 16-year-old himself. I just don't think the Chief Inspector can be criticized for reporting the current results of the police interviews and investigation, even if those results conflict with what you believe *must* be the case.

If the Police were told it was just a Family Dispute...and nothing to do with the Cult, who told them that? Why don't the Police state the source of this bit of information.

Why would the Police state this at the scene of the stabbing incident...perhaps just and hour or less after it happened?

Where is any investigation to back this statement up?

It just smacks of some Cult PR Statement....or spin to get it off their plate as fast as possible.

Another thing that has been irritating me is the "Club Med" type of statements about the AO facility that most of these New Articles have tacked onto these stories. One even had a quote from COB about the facility.

It all seems kinda lacking in any real information. But they do include obvious Cult PR releases about the place...WTF?

Here are 2 examples that the News Media saw fit to tack on to articles about this story.

    "
The headquarters for the church was officially opened in the leafy suburb of Chatswood in December 2016.
The day included a performance of Waltzing Matilda by Aussie singer and Scientology member Kate Ceberano.
The imposing building was described at the glitzy opening as “a cosmic alignment of universal factors” by the church’s global leader David Miscavige.
More than 100 Scientology members are reportedly bussed into the fancy building daily to study “Dianetics” (the church’s key teachings on the science of the mind), take courses in purification to rid them of “toxic residues” and attend “auditing” sessions costing thousands of dollars to help them overcome their past and ascend to a higher level of existence.
It is also known as Advanced Organisation Saint Hill Australia New Zealand Oceania, providing “advanced religious services” to Scientologists from across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region.
The centre is said to be its biggest spiritual centre outside the United States."

    And another:

    "
“This very unfortunate matter is in the hands of the police. We cannot make any further comment beyond the fact that the victim was a beloved member of our Church,” the church said in a statement. “The Church is providing the police with any assistance needed in their investigation.”
The Chatswood Scientology Center, known as the Advanced Organization and Saint Hill Australia, New Zealand & Oceania, opened in September 2016 and is considered the “spiritual headquarters” for Scientologists in the Asia-Pacific region. It is the biggest Scientology center outside of the United States and lauded by the organization as an “architectural masterpiece,” ABC reported.
The center also has a chapel, auditorium and “purification center” that includes a gym and sauna, along with training facilities.
Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige called the 145,000-square-feet headquarters an “arboreal palace nestled at the rim of a eucalyptus wonderland.” "

Let us not forget that a murder took place by a teenager while he was being "Escorted" by 2 Sea Org Cult members of the above facility.

Brief outline of the law as regards the carrying of knives in NSW:

    https://www.northernstar.com.au/news/nsw-laws-tough-on-knife-carrying-offenders/793340/

Also, someone commented earlier that it's commonplace for people to carry knives in Australia. This claim is nonsense. The only people you'll find who might be in possession of knives in public are hoodlums, armed robbers and criminals in general. The vast majority of the population do not carry knives.

That's a good point about the Security Cameras.

Do the newer Ideal Orgs include camera security systems?

I guess the Police actually getting security footage from the Cult is a different story...
