It seems to me that David Miscavige has personally made some HUGE mistakes that are sending the Church of Scientology into a death spiral.

These actions are over and above the “just applying LRH Policy” type of idiocy. They are directly attributable to David Miscavige alone and if he were anyone else he would be in serious ethics trouble for causing these flaps.

Here are some I’ve identified. Feel free to add your own.

Debbie Cook was a dedicated, hard-working, productive Scientologist until DM personally subjected her to abusive heavy ethics action. She left the Sea Org and eventually wrote an email pointing out the out-tech/off-policy actions of DM. This email alone resulted in many people leaving Scientology but DM compounded the error by suing Debbie for breach of a confidentiality agreement. This resulted in a court case wherein Debbie outlined DM’s abusive behaviour for the world to see. The COS was so horrified about the negative publicity they terminated the court case but Debbie Cook’s testimony is now available on the internet for all to see.

Mike Rinder was a dedicated, hard-working, productive Scientologist until DM personally subjected him to abusive heavy ethics action. When John Sweeney was making a documentary for the BBC about Scientology David Miscavige personally sent Mike Rinder to London to stop it happening. When he failed to do so, DM told Mike that he was sending him to Western Australia where he would not be able to see his family. This was the tipping point that caused Mike to leave Scientology. Since then he has created a huge amount of negative publicity for the COS and this is directly attributable to David Miscavige.

Marty Rathbun was a dedicated, high-ranking Scientologist until he decided he could no longer tolerate David Miscavige’s abusive behaviour and he left. Eventually this led to Marty creating a blog which led to a court case and the infamous “squirrel busters” which generated a huge amount of negative publicity for the COS. All of this is directly attributable to David Miscavige.

Ron Miscavige is David Miscavige’s father and was a long-serving Sea Org member. According to Ron (in Leah Remini’s current TV show) David personally gave him a Kindle electronic device as a present. All such devices in the COS have internet access restricted so that Sea Org personnel cannot view negative information about Scientology. However Ron discovered that David had made a mistake and this device had unrestricted access. Ron then googled Scientology and he started to discover the truth about the abuses of his son. This led to Ron and his wife leaving the COS a few months later. DM then compounded the mistake by paying private investigators to follow his father and when Ron found this out he decided to write a book about his son. This has caused further negative publicity for the COS which is directly attributable to David Miscavige.

Leah Remini was a Scientology celebrity and therefore capable of generating a lot of good publicity for the COS. However, David Miscavige managed to turn this situation into a media disaster by firstly sending his wife Shelley away without saying publicly where she was and secondly subjecting Leah to heavy ethics treatment for simply asking where her friend Shelley was. This resulted in Leah and her family leaving Scientology and the ensuing negative PR for the COS has been huge. All of this is again caused personally by David Miscavige.

I think that could be said of many, many exes, myself included, and before the Dwarf came along too. It's built into the system, although he does excel at wrecking things.

I'm seeing more and more the parallels between the devolution of Scientology into a closed door sect of enormous wealth and real estate holdings and the Rosicrucian's which at one time was "built on esoteric truths of the ancient past, which concealed from the average man, provide insight into nature, the physical universe and the spiritual realm''.
At one time Rosicrucianism was a big deal too and then it quietly packed its bags and presumably, the "Miscavidge's" of the time wallowed in it's wealthy real estate holdings while offering only a grossly watered down version of itself through, what little you have left of it - AMORC and its foolish little pamphlets offering "higher wisdom" just to keep its doors open apparently.
It faded much more quietly into oblivion than Scn perhaps due to their having been no internet during its run.
All of which begs the question "has DM run his membership off INTENTIONALY, and fiendishly using the "tech." and admin. policies of LRH to do it, in order that few remain who could ever quarrel over what he's doing with the bounty from his caper"?
