Maybe change the title of this thread to:

Why do people think it is necessary to be tolerant of grammatical and/or spelling errors?

There's no need for you to be ashamed trubs, you're not the one who has set themselves up as an arbiter of the spelling/grammar here.

All joking aside, we all make mistakes, and most of the time it's a lapse of concentration and not plain ignorance that's the cause of a slip-up.

There's hardly a post of mine that doesn't have an 'edited' tag. That's because of my OCD and the way I'm always looking for a better or more elegant way of expressing myself, (not that I consider myself any kind of literary hot-shot to begin with - quite the opposite in fact, I aspire to be a hot-shot but it's doubtful I will ever make it). Think yourselves lucky you don't all suffer from this terrible affliction.

    Good point, Strati.

We are bombarded with media messages and extreme emotion of all kinds, quick, fast messages. Focus and concentration seem to be decreasing, along with intelligence. Text and Internet messages are short and quick. Demonstrated intelligence demands focus and the ability to ignore distractions, yet so many go out of their way to distract us with yet another and another and another message atop the ones we barely have time to read, and the messages just get louder and louder.

Intelligence linked to ability to ignore distractions

People with higher IQs are slow to detect large background movements because their brains filter out non-essential information, say US researchers.
Instead, they are good at detecting small moving objects.

The findings come in a study of 53 people given a simple, visual test in Current Biology.
The results could help scientists understand what makes a brain more efficient and more intelligent.

You are using the Tone Scale ala SOS, where arbitrary manifestations of arbitrary states of beingness are arbitrarily assigned by Hisself.
Training drills are done to strengthen a scn'ist's intention to control another with his intention alone.
    Nevermind.
A mindfuck is a mindfuck however one defines it.

Maybe like "looking peaked" (don't look healthy).

Who knew 'peeked' could generate so much chatter.
