Wieber's Journey through Scientology and into Exit Therapy

One of the all-time greatest threads from OCMB is the personal account of a former staff member who goes by the nick of Wieber. He drew inspiration from Steven Hassan's Releasing the Bonds book, and wrote an extensive journal on his experiences as a do-it-yourself cult recovery exercise of sorts.

Then in 2007 he post selected excerpts of his written works that those who cross-pollinate amongst all the fora are likely familiar with:

^^Such greatness deserves to be spread far and wide, and Wieber graciously agreed to allow anons doing due diligence on the cult recovery and exit therapy fronts to reprint the major narrative of this fine thread in newly released e-book format! :coolwink:

And i figured I'd crosspost this here for the benefit of those who only hang out on ESMB. It's a great read for both Exes and Indies at only 50 pages long. Emphasis on the author's critical views on Scn is only focused on indepth in the final chapter.

For those familiar with this thread - there's no substantive additions in the e-book version. However, the circular ending posts are rearranged in more liner narrative and trivial copyedits applied to make it into a formal composition.

There's also future plans to highlight this and other e-books of the same genre on the Exit Zone Blog (a bigger project that will be announced on separate thread once the under construction bits are finished). However, this compilation was done for the benefit of all in the public domain, so all should feel free to re-use and mirror this however & wherever folks see useful.

Enjoy!
