The first video's first 2 minutes, telling staff that the real world actually has human rights we all take as simple and basic. Truly UFB, shocking, and frightening. And multi-year sentences to the RPF for silly infractions.
No offense, but what kind of bonehead would tolerate such treatment?
I could never ever really understand why someone would want to join staff,
let alone, sea org to begin with. Such people seem ripe for the picking.
I could see why one would feel trapped in the idea that Scientology had
the answers, but its pretty obvious that staff don't generally move up
the bridge quickly.
How is this different than a 7 year abusive marriage? Or working
at a job you hate because you don't feel you have much choice?
Scientology just makes a science out of the nastier aspects of
human nature, competition and survival that we take for granted.
Its a tough unfair world. Some folks are born rich and well connected,
others are born beautiful. Some are born into disadvantaged situations
and manage to break free.
No offense, but what kind of bonehead would tolerate such treatment?

I can easily understand why someone would be interested in Scientology. But why why why would someone give up everything to join the sea org without really knowing what they were joning?
OK, just to be fair, I listend to this guys tape right now and its a pretty decent wake up.
But yes, in my case, I was never EVER a 100 percent card carrying dupe.
I was skeptical from the beginning. I asked the questions.

I never called "that" guy a 100 percent card carrying dupe. I said
that I was never one.
Lots of folks in Scientology don't like many things about it.
They talk about it casually amoungst themselve, and
also frequently get reprimanded for any form of disagreement.
But its there. I've seen it. I've experienced it and met
many who didn't like the system but tolerated it because
they saw some benefit.
The truth is pretty rude at times.
Yes, many do "care" but the fact is clear:
Many of of the staffers and sea org were/are wonderful folks.
But many of them were goons. And all are culpable.
How many of these "nice folks" made your life miserable at one
time or another by playing along?
Leaving and coming clean is a great start. We all learned
some harsh lessons. That doesn't mean these folks were
some kind of tragic heros.
They actually owe us big time and should be thankful if
we can forgive them and give them a pass.
