Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

I love the unconditional life [no conditions applied]. Nature, love, experience, creativity, and simply being there. I can't handle extra tasks.....lol.

I am too autistic to do more than one thing at a time.
Therefore I can live but not live and think.

and therefore I choose to live.

There is a syllogism there if needed, emergency survival syllogism!

Philosophy at work. Logic.
Bah humbug!

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

You know, all the technical comments are irrelevant. This is a matter of opinion. Some people feel that 432 HZ music penetrates more deeply to a person's inner core, I am one of them. That's my opinion, no one is going to change that. Quite a few people agree with me and that is why a tremendous amount of music is recorded in 432 HZ.

<snip>

LOL, Lakey, you tone-deaf little idiot! 432 Hz IS bullshit! Was, is, and will be forever. Bullshit! Anyone who falls for that crap, is at least as tone-deaf as you are. Oh, and about your deluded opinion: I don't care about fucking bullshit!

Want me to play you 5 different songs at 5 different center-frequencies? Because even with the 2 1/2 fingers I have currently left, I could do that. And I could I could fool you. Because you are a fool. Because if you weren't, you wouldn't waste your own or anybody's time with fucked-up theories you yourself don't even understand the basics of.

Really, man, play me any tone within the range of 50 Hz and 15 kHz and I can identify that tone within seconds. Then explain me how that specific tone (whichever frequency it is) does or doesn't relate to 432 Hz.

Oh, and about that Pachelbel canon @432 Hz: You may be stupid enough to feel "especially enlightened" by that, but to me it's just another good piece of music, well performed. I have thousands of such pieces in my collection.

Really, man, if you were right here with me, I'm certain I could play you a melody that totally touches your heart, on an instrument tuned to A=450 Hz. Because frequencies don't matter, as long as every musician is approximately in tune.

A while ago, someone posted a hearing test on Youtube. A nice test, different melodies played @ different center frequencies betw een 430 and 450 Hz. A beautiful test, which AFAIK every honest person failed, which is understandable, because a meager 8 Hz difference is almost undetectable for most people.

So, Lakey, if you like a certain version of a certain song, by all means enjoy it! But please, please, please, a very pretty pretty please with an extra sweet cherry on top, please don't bother the world with this A=432 Hz bullshit. Because that's what it is. Complete and utter bullshit. So please drop that shit and attempt to become a sane member of the human race for a change.

Oh, and why you're at it: You might also want to re-investigate your opinion about that disgusting, manipuative, fanatic Farrakhan demagogue.

'nuff said.

I heard the word satanic and didn't even want to hear the song. So I guess it just sucks by the title.

All these tasks may make me dizzy...

Just to clarify, I may be in and out here. I might not post every day or all the time.

The new, dry-cleaned me wants to be more concise [although I may fail from time to time, such as today when I posted

20% more videos than I should have....]

I like posting recipes since food is more important than Scientology.

Oh, I feel the medieval rack coming on......oh nooooo.....

I want to focus on life, not the forum. But I will, often enough, like a bee lost in the flowers, find my way here.

Psst! Don't tell old SP I told you, but the album sucks because it was a shameless ripoff of the Beatles 'Sgt. Pepper', except unlike Sgt. Pepper, most of the songs were crap.

The 'satanic' bit was self-parody, they were the guys in black hats where the Beatles were the guys in white hats. HTH.

Their Satanic Majesties Request is the album from which came "She's a Rainbow". The album was a quick and dirty knockoff of Sgt Pepper and it sold poorly and was eviscerated universally by critics and fans alike. She's a Rainbow is the only song that survives in the great jukebox in the sky and even it is rarely played. There is just so much better stuff in their catalog.

m4*rate = Method 4 W/C and starrate the items. I'm kidding. How would you M4 a record album? Is there anything in that groove you didn't understand?:roflmao::dieslaughing:

Awww.....well I won't say a word to SP...hopefully your message appears to him as invisible ink.

I love invisible ink!!!

I did not fully know that tidbit of Sgt. Pepper's fame.

What do you think of the White Album? I like that and the Let it Be Album a lot.

Dinner is over but I am still drinking wine....

BTW, I am learning to lurk the forum a bit more....if anyone has top threads I should read, like mandatory, please say.

The last thread I enjoyed posting other than here was on John Nash so no I have no plan to do massive posting.
Too busy cooking and painting to care.
Just lurk.

The White Album, Abbey Road and Let it Be were all recorded in the same sessions. All released within the last 18 months of cohesion. Some of the Abbey Road songs were recorded before the ones on the White Album. They got 4 fine discs out of the final sessions when they were at each other's throats. I absolutely love them all.

Unfortunately, the comments stated above by this party are not honest and they are hypocritical. A couple of days back he wrote a post citing Faceinthecrowd as an example of a knowledgeable poster and a poster who makes consistently high quality posts.

I started my post by saying that I couldn't agree with him more!! I told him that I was in full agreement with every line of his post.

His response was that after reading the first two words of my post, he quit reading. He said that he did not care one hoot whether I agreed or disagreed with him. He told me to save some keystrokes and never reply to him again because he will no longer be reading any of my posts. To acomodate this gentleman, I have put him and two others on ignore. The ignore button is working fine, I don't see any of the writings of these 3 people unless someone quotes them. Someone quoted him so I got to see what he's writing

I just find his remarks above so extremely untruthful and hypocritical that I had to reply

To say, " We need more love, more more joy.....more hugs.....more humor......more laughs,,,,,,more life" and to also say "Love and blessings to each and every person" is so hypocritical and phony that I just can't sit by and allow this type of dishonesty and chicanery to take place on a thread where I am the OP. He spends a lot of his time on this thread on a daily basis and I've been paying him compliments of late to try and build up communications with him. In particular, I complimented him for a fine post which he made a couple of days ago and his response was to trash me and stop reading my post after the first two words and then tell me to save some keystrokes and to stop commenting on his posts because he has no interest in reading anything I have to say.

After doing this, he has the audacity to come on this thread and pretend to be a cheerful and happy go lucky person. He derides the very things which he himself does to others while posing as a man of peace, love and good will.

Excuse me for messing with the flow of the thread right now, which is quite upbeat and positive. I hate to disturb this state of affairs but I simply don't want this person to be able to be so extremely two faced and phony on a thread where I am the OP without at least making some comments about what he is doing.

Does there have to be a specific flow? I see your point...but also I think that he or she is probably just as usual having fun [what is fun for giz, whoever giz is, may not be fun for you] ....true sometimes trying to barb....but we all wake up on the wrong side of the bed every few minutes and wonder 'where am I'.

:flowers:

In fact I just woke up on a strange planet and hope it's not some weird Markabian (sp?) province!

White Album? From the sublime (Julia) to the ridiculous (Bungalow Bill). Lennon strung-out on heroin.

Let It Be? Fucked up by Phil Spector by all accounts. Fractious Beatles. Harrison left and came back.

My favourite Beatles album was and still is Abbey Road, but I was head-over-heels in love with an Australian beauty at the time it came out, so the association is there.

Dinner is over but I am still drinking wine....

Lucky old you, I'm drug and alchohol free these days...

You do have fans and you are a star. at least on this thread and I would imagine other threads and other venues as well. For a person as smart as you are, you are so extremely modest about your abilities. Just look at this thread, before you came here a few months ago, there was much happening here. After you arrived, things picked up. Same thing a couple of days ago you went to to a dry cleaners and things were dull around here. You come back and today it is like the Garden of Eden around here.

You are a natural born Emcee or moderator, in the traditional sense of the word and not the ESMB senses of the word! Start throwing your weight around and demand respect! You've earned that respect so you might as well cash in on some of that as well as some of your fame around here. Who knows? Maybe there will be a book deal or a movie deal from all of this. Then we can all say that we knew you back when!!

I am a lucky one who DOES NOT REMEMBER 95% of any of the tech.

So I have to view all life with fresh eyes.

It was 35+ years ago.

I couldn't repeat what M4 w/c is. I don't remember. YAY.

When I was a little girl in school, each day we were given new words to learn. We would look them up and in our homework give an definition.

But that was it. You see, context changes the meaning of words. Words are not what they are, they are AFFECTED by what is around them.

So no pure definitions are possible.

A pragmatic definition for the pragmatically minded (BORING) of course is always there....SIGH.

What matters is the context, not the word as if it was on an altar for all time.

Words have millions of meanings, each one. Archaic ones, English ones, American ones, colloquialisms, etc. The key is context. From there a word can be surmised as to meaning and intention. A sigh, a tone of voice, affects the whole meaning! To define words in absolute ways for all time DEVOID of feeling and other context is just an emotional insecurity where the person needs to be assured that a=a so they won't have a breakdown when reality does not fit their little fantasy.

MU tech = emotionally insecure and NOT a creative being = not cause ever.

Re: A Day of LOVE !

Just dashed out for 6 bottles !

2 wines

2 reds

2 bubbly

For 2, I hope ?

Love, kisses & Kindness to all !

Back in the 70s, COSMOD had this famous "PC" we called Jack Reno. The Reno folder was occasionally turned in by an auditor with outrageous out-tech written up. A common Jack Reno sesssion would end with him arcxn, unflat on every process with a stuck needle or a rock slam or something. The C/S would then, of course, issue the appropriate VWD and direct the next session. We sometimes kept that folder going for weeks at a time. It was a fun way to get all your J&D on and we all had lots of lulz.

The Delphi kitchen had a rough patch for a while and were getting low ratings from staff which was their stat, so there was back and forth animosity for a bit. So I and the other auditors made up a "Galley Correction List" consisting of many of the common complaints. The ED, Alan Larson, read it aloud at staff meeting. It was sort of a cross between a Green Form and an L3RD. After about 20 items or so the whole place was laughing. Then Alan read the key line: Has an earlier gastronomic upset been restimulated? The whole place erupted in laughter orders of magnitude louder and harder (h/t lotus:coolwink:) and nobody could speak for several minutes from laughing so hard.

Both these methods of breaking tension would never be allowed today. When I do stuff like issue a ridiculous cram or ethics order it usually gets laughs, but I can understand if someone might miss the humor or be bothered by it. The intention is always to get a laugh, not a tear.

So if one does not quite understand one of my posts, it may just have been a classic bazinga and not serious. Or my bi-polarity kicked in and I can't help it. Either way it's NEVER a personal insult to anyone.
