Scientology joins 92 signatories in letter to Putin about religious freedom in Russia.

In previous cross-posts I have noted the increased action of the Church of Scientology National Affairs Office in joining other churches and civil rights organizations in speaking out on various civil rights issues. I have argued that Scientology's statements on these issues were not about the substantive issues, but were instead about the Church of Scientology building relationships (including but certainly not limited to with the Nation of Islam), creating alliances, and establishing its bona fides as an organization concerned about civil rights. I asked whether anyone thought that any of the signatories on such prior civil rights letters would refuse the Church of Scientology if the Church of Scientology asked for support concerning its religious status in Russia, Kazakhstan, etc.

It appears I may have been at least partially right.

Vladimir Putin
President of Russia
The Kremlin
Presidential Executive Office

Dear Mr. President,

We write as an informal group of organizations and individuals who are scholars, religious and secular leaders, and human rights advocates to express our deep concern about Federal Laws ? 374-?? and 375-??, On Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation to establish additional measures to counter terrorism and ensure public safety (the Federal Anti-Terrorism Law), which you signed into law on 6 July 2016.

The Federal Anti-Terrorism Law further restricts religious freedom. We are particularly concerned about the amendments that introduce an entire new section to the Religion Law, imposing strict limits on sharing beliefs, including where and who may share them, and increase extremism punishments.

As impact studies are now done and a set of normative acts or instructions are developed for its implementation, we respectfully urge you to ensure the Federal Anti-Terrorism Law is not used against peaceful spiritual groups.

yes, exactly what I also spotted while reading it.

This is simply OT ORGS PL in action. Handle the attacks but don't get distracted from the purpose to take over the planet.

So we get the "SPs" and the handle portion of OSA in one game and meanwhile OSA PR goes out with its own front groups AND its PR emissaries to find ruins in culture, find and make allies with individuals or OLs or groups wich are concerned with those 'ruins' and help them. NOT because OSA thinks it is a good thing to help downstats or put beans into problems, but because if doing so allows scientology to spread its poison then the End justifys the means.
This is at its core POLItical. winning the control of groups.
Maybe El Con IS coming back as a red haired politician.....lol

A perfect example of OSA work product. Not one of these knucklehead organizations did proper due diligence or even a cursory Internet search of Scientology, or they would understand that it is a fraudulent, multi-national, psycho-political commercial entity, of which a huge segment of its organization is devoted to an in-house intelligence apparatus.

With regard to Scientology, there is more than ample evidence to support the conclusion that it employs a deliberate and cynical defensive strategy of religious cloaking in order to obscure it's true aims, which are commercial and political in nature.

The Russians have it right, and the Russian Government should actively and energetically seek to educate and inform the signatories of the true danger, and history of Scientology, as well as their respective governments.

It seems Scientology has not really "joined" in this letter cycle. More like they've programmed and initiated it as part of their "multi-faith" cloaking operation.

The Mitchell Firm said:
To increase national security and secure your rights and freedoms, the Firm has been working to advance international religious freedom since 2010. Greg Mitchell serves as Co-Chair and Coordinator of the International Religious Freedom Roundtable in Washington, D.C. Chris Seiple of the Institute for Global Engagement co-founded the Roundtable and serves as the other Co-Chair.

[...]

And as Mitchell also notes, the Church of Scientology International supports the Firm’s multi-faith work as part of its selfless social mission to advance religious freedom for all. They fully understand that a rising tide lifts all boats.

:omg: I just noticed that this thread is in 'Scientology infiltrates society" category. I want to give a very big thanks whoever might have made such a category as I feel this recognition has been sorely lacking in importance for discussion. When did this category happen? I am delighted to say the least.
And very glad to see all the contributors here addressing the issue.

"The vital targets on which we must invest most of our time are:
(T1) Depopularizing the enemy to the point of obliteration.
(T2) Taking over the control or allegiance of the heads or proprietors of all news media.
(T3) Taking over the control or allegiance of key political figures.
(T4) Taking over the control or allegiance of those who monitor international finance..."

How The Cult of Scientology Harms Its Members and Has Infiltrated US Politics
Note To Readers: The subject of Scientology is complex, and very few articles really explore the actual nature of Scientology, its history, and the political goals of this disturbing mind control cult.

Readers who are used to scanning through short blog entries are generally expected to do the digging themselves if they have further interest. Unfortunately, not everyone has enough curiosity or time to do so.

I hope that by ripping open some of Scientology's dirtier and darker seams, this piece will provide more than enough reference material for readers to conclude that this cult that cynically calls itself a church for tax purposes should have no place in the lives and careers of any public officials, or celebrities for that matter. Therefore this is an extremely long post, divided it into 7 sections for convenience. I invite every reader to spend time reading the entire post even if it means multiple visits. There are many surprises along the way. As we all know, the devil is always in the details......

The Scientology Organization (SO) continues to maintain the goal of making and governing a worldwide Scientology society according to its own rules, which disregard the fundamental principles of the basic German government system, the principles of democracy, the principle of a legal state and division of power. Its highest goal, world domination, stands in crass contradiction to its constant assertions of bringing complete peace to humanity because the implementation of its ruling principle would actually lead to a massive detriment to human rights. Until attainment of its goal the SO stands in fundamental conflict with all anti-Scientology people, social groups and states. In this setting the SO's 2004 propaganda measures included defamation of informational and countermeasures on Scientology.

Re: Scientology joins 92 signatories in letter to Putin about religious freedom in Ru

:omg: I just noticed that this thread is in 'Scientology infiltrates society" category. I want to give a very big thanks whoever might have made such a category as I feel this recognition has been sorely lacking in importance for discussion. When did this category happen? I am delighted to say the least.

Thank you for noticing! I made this subforum about a month ago, and the mods have been quietly moving threads into here when they find ones elsewhere that belong. My big thank you goes to the moderators for their efforts!

The subject (infiltration) is one of my biggest gripes about the cult.

I appreciate this subforum category too. Thank you very much. The public-at-large does not sign up for Scientology's predations and antisocial practices, and it is very important that people become alert to them.

Scientologists infiltrate society by directive, like the one dchoiceisalwaysrs noted above. Btw, I haven't seen the whole Guardian Order 060971 issue; it is not listed on the GO or OSA checksheets. However, Hubbard did list those targets in HCO PL 16 February 1969 Targets, Defense. That issue is on the GO Confidential Intelligence Course and on the later Department of Special Affairs Investigations Officer Full Hat Checksheet.

Also from HCOPL Targets, Defense:

Hubbard said:
The errors we have made have been

1. Defending only.

2. Defending on Scn ground.

3. Being reasonable and assigning mild motives to the enemy.

4. Failing to attack early and hard.

5. Undervaluing the broad social value of Scn.

6. Individuating from other similar organizations.

7. Not learning enemy tactics and using and bettering them.

8. Failing to heavily contest for public opinion and public media.

9. Failing to identify the enemy early and hit him hard.

Hubbard, L. R., (1969, 16 February). (Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter.) Targets, Defense.

Items 3, 4, 7 and 9 above clearly relate to the SP doctrine. Items 4 and 7 reveal the prescriptive mechanisms with which Scientologists disengage morally in their fair gaming of SP targets.

Item 6 helps to clarify the motive underlying the Scientologists' multifaith cloaking operation discussed in this thread.

Items 1 and 2 of course relate to the task of concerned citizens who oppose Scientology's infiltrations.
