From their PR press release:

"...where kookaburras trill at dawn and dusk...."

They can't even tell the truth about our birdlife, ffs!!!!!!

We have cuckoos that trill:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHHrjSs0x9A

These are a delightful sound especially in spring around our area.

These are Kookaburras calling - try to fit this sound into the definition of "trill.":duh:

Mind you, it's a highly appropriate sound for around the "New AOSH ANZO." Especially if you've just opened the confidential section of OT III:coolwink:

Sydney has become home to what Scientology calls its biggest “spiritual centre” outside the US as the group created by a science-fiction writer in 1950 makes a bid to cash in on the booming Asian region as its overall membership continues to fall.

Sadly, you don't get to see this article unless you sign up for endless amounts of Uncle Rupert's drivel. All it directed me to was a subscription page.

But it's pleasing to see The Oz still occasionally doing stuff on the cult. It was the Oz that, with Bryan Seymour, broke the story of the Oz Nine and Nic Xenophon's famous speech to the Oz Senate. It's probably a better piece than the almost-fawning Channel Nine report.

Nice research...

Journalist Steve Cannane, whose book Fair Game, the Incredible Untold Story of Scientology in Australia, is being released this month, said just 2163 people identified as Scientologists at the last Australian census, which was down 13 per cent from the previous census and fewer than the number of people claiming to be Jedi Knights.

“Because their numbers are going backwards all they can do to show they are successful and expanding is to open new buildings, and it’s all part of a marketing exercise,” Cannane said.

Is it possible to do an ultra-sound scan of a liver from a 50 meter away vantage point?

Psychopaths hands don't shake due to the nerves they don't have.

My understanding is he drinks a bottle of scotch a day. People who drink that much occasionally build up toxic levels of methanol. It is very dangerous. That's what causes the shaking.

Dear Rona and Norma;

I do remember reading about a state called Clear, truly an intriguing concept.
Please notify me when your next 'Clear Committee' meeting will be held as I have a great desire to discuss with them the various parts of some of the more advanced quantum physics formulas in relation to the theory of everything.
Should the situation be that none of them have read any textbooks on the subjects I will bring along some cheat sheets with the specific formulas noted down and these can be passed around for a 5 minute perusal of each of the members and then collected up again as we commence our discussions.
Unfortunately I am not clear so I will hold onto these cheat sheets to refer to while the Clears in the group discuss and do calculations to arrive at the answers to my unsolved queries in this area.
After a successful discussion and full demonstrated proof of the capabilities of many 'Clears' I would like to embark upon a journey through terra incognita as described in DMSMH to also attain the state of Clear.

yours in acceptable truth,

Pete

PS please bring your 'auditors' and registration staff as I have allotted $10 million to be disbursed upon proof of your claims in DMSMH

PPS oh I am so forgetful, I will also bring along various recording equipment to save you all the problems of posting the meeting onto Youtube for worldwide viewing....free advertising if you will...

I don't fully understand this, but it seems relevant to this thread:

Wow, this part is interesting!

We recently wrote to Council seeking clarification about the Conditions of Consent for the operations of the church. Here is the response: ....

Advice:

Development Consent DA-2014/403 was granted for the use of church activities only. No residential accommodation has been approved onsite (other than within the caretakers cottage, previously known as 23 Millwood Avenue, Chatswood).

Conditions of Development Consent DA-2014/403 restrict hours of operations of the premises to:

The hours of operation of the ‘business premises’ and ‘place of public worship’ are restricted to 8.30am to 9.30pm, 7 days a week.

Except for security staff and/or cleaners, all staff, parishioners and visitors shall vacate the premises no later than 10.00pm.
