L RON HUBBARD’S GREATEST OT POWER

Brian Lambert, the author of this essay, posted this into a private Facebook group.

I'm cross-posting it here with his permission:

L RON HUBBARD’S GREATEST OT POWER

Was that guy, Hubbard, incredibly talented at deception or what!

Ron’s greatest talent was control. And for that he actually informed us to control you must lie.
We always thought Mr. Smarty Pants was warning us about how bad it is to lie and that lying to control was bad.

But what he was doing was revealing to us his MO in life. Lying was Ron’s go to value system for survival.
I now can state with total conviction that never in my life have I ever come across another human being that lied to me so insidiously with such conviction, talent and intent.

The man who sold to us that he found the road to truth was the biggest liar I’ve ever experienced in this life. That’s how good he was at lying.

L Ron Hubbard demonstrated, through his actions, that he perfected the art of lying to control.
We thought he was warning us about SPs. He was revealing who he was. He was warning us about him.

SURVIVAL

I always thought that Hubbard’s belief that the purpose of life is ‘survival’ was totally lame — totally materialistic

Survival! WTF? Ron was a crazy man — insane.

Here he is telling us that the highest purpose in life is to continue in time: survival.
Real wise teachers say love, finding spiritual freedom, discovering the truth, finding true happiness is the goal and purpose of life.

How materialistic! How dim witted! How lacking in insight to declare with ‘godlike finality’ that continuing in time, survival, is the highest purpose of life.
Has anyone ever thought about this?

Hubbard did not have a developed spiritual intelligence. In the realm of Spirit and soul knowledge he was pretty dim witted.

He was not a spiritual person.

To declare that the purpose of life is survival is the outcome of a materialistic mentality.
It’s like saying that the purpose of life is to continue living. It’s a doctrine from someone who has no spiritual insights.

It’s the philosophy of a man who had no self knowledge.

Hubbard was a materialist. Owning and controlling things was Hubbard’s value, not spiritual knowledge.
Now that is a great liar. Someone who can convince others that he has the knowledge to free them while actually trapping them in his web of lies.

That was his talent: degrading others by controlling them with lying. That’s Hubbard’s legacy. That’s his final PR assessment - psychopathic liar

When I first got involved, which was 1987, 1 year after Hubbard's death.

I had read dianetics book and in that was a card that said call or come in for a free auditing session. Which I did, I figured I'd check it out for free.

I recall specifically asking my reg at the time, after some hours of book 1 auditing:

How do we know he is telling the truth?

The reg said, "he never lied to us before"

I bought it hook line and sinker from the fast smooth talking pretty reg. It amazes me that after what 31 years now and after much research, Hubbard was indeed the biggest liar on Earth, the greatest showman on earth he was. His scientology is a circus.

There never was a "clear" or "OT', never ever. And never will be.

There ARE people (non-scientologists) who have truly amazing abilities in our world. Here's a story about one of them:

Autistic artist Stephen Wiltshire draws spellbinding 18ft picture of New York from memory... after a 20-minute helicopter ride over city
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...aws-18ft-picture-New-York-skyline-memory.html

If you click on that link you'll see how intricate his drawings are, and he draws all the buildings to their proper scale. If I flew above New York in a helicopter for a full year I couldn't do what he did after a 20 minute ride.

That should be one of the abilities though of a Clear with their perfect memories, shouldn't it?

The only people in the world I've seen with amazing memories that a Clear should have were non-Scientologists. This guy in the video below is not only pretty amazing but he teaches others to do what he does:

When I was in Mexico in 2004 I had a semi-autistic kid in one of my English classes. He was seven and I guess he was what would be called high functioning, he was pretty much normal except extremely shy, never talked much and was always seemingly somewhere else mentally unless you pulled him out of it. Due to the level of English he was at he was the only student in one of my classes. I didn't know how to proceed after awhile, usually the kids make the class talking English to each other. It was difficult talking to him without other kids in the class. You can only play so much Hangman, lol.

I found out he liked to draw, so I gave him paper, pens and pencils, etc. He was amazingly good. He drew those Mexican style Day of the Dead type things smiling skeletons, crosses, etc. cartoon scary stuff that a kid would like but at a level of detail and expertise that looked like a professional did it. I just let him draw, he was happy to do it and we talked (in English) while he was drawing. I asked him why he drew things certain ways, I wanted our conversations to be "organic" rather than forced or "I'm the teacher you're the student".

On parent day I was surprised and felt old. His mother was like 25 years old and almost a child herself. The father was at work. I told her we didn't make a lot of progress in English, she seemed to have heard this type of story before, that her kid was slow etc. I told her he was very smart and is an artist. She was baffled. So I was a bit direct, told her so she understood that I was serious. Told her he's an artist, to force him to do anything else will make him miserable, he has an amazing gift from God (I figured bringing God into would help make my point) I had put his drawings on the walls around the classroom, she was impressed that I would do that.

I had some of his drawings when I came back to the US but I lost them somewhere along the line. Wish I still had them.

The trick with Kwik Learning is actually from long ago, it's called mnemonic. With drills and practice one can seem to have perfect recall. Or number of times over = certainty.

What about past lives?

There are no clears or OT's, just an apparency there are.

Vedic maths. The 16 sutra's, they're mnemonic's, aphorisms, probably thousands of years old, that instruct on how to proceed on certain math problems. Most likely where all the modern stuff originates from. You can really 'wow' people with this.

"One of the 16 Sutras is called “Digit Sums” aka “Digital Compression” aka “The Casting Off Of Nines” aka “The Continued Subtraction By 9” aka “Digital Roots”. A numerical example is, to multiply 33 by 11.

We add the digits of 33 which is 3 + 3 which is 6 and insert this between the two threes, giving the instantaneous answer of 363."

33x11=363

Yes, working in a casino as I did, 11 (a street) comes up a lot, and the above method was how we worked it out.

Here's my favourite casino trick for calculating payouts on roulette. (Bear with, it's a bit long-winded but worth it in the end).

A 'straight up' pays 35 to 1 and a 'split' (cheval) pays 17 to 1.

So if a player had eight chips straight up on the number and eight chips on the split, rather than multiply 8 x 35 and add it to 8 x 17, you simply halve and then double the numbers, that is to say half of eight is four and double eight is sixteen, so the total is 416. Obviously the number of chips isn't always so conveniently equal, but you'd use this method as a basis for calculation. Punters were always amazed at how quickly we used to work out the totals.

He has dozens of different techniques, and it's possible most of them are from long ago. I wouldn't characterize what he does those as a "trick". He teaches methods which have very practical applications. He can walk into a room and introduce himself quickly to a hundred different people, and remember each of their first names. Many people have difficulty remembering the name of a single individual they meet.

Several years ago I directed a friend of mines kid to a 10 minute video that Kwik did concerning math. He had been having difficulty with math for years and felt as though he achieved a breakthrough of sorts after watching a 10 minute YouTube video. My point being that his teachings ARE useful, at least some of them are.

As far as 'perfect recall', whether it's possible or not, I would say that the autistic man I posted about earlier in the thread would be evidence that it IS possible, although very rare.

Individuals within our species do possess some amazing abilities. Some possess abilities which may appear supernatural to others but they're not.

no argument there PTS,

I was only really trying to point out hubbard's bag of tricks you might say, in that dianetics and scientology create no clears or OT's.

I like the OP. Studying Hubbard and Scientology for the manipulation and to see how people will actually tell you what they are really thinking while being manipulative is among the most valid reasons for studying Scientology although I really don't think we want this being duplicated elsewhere. I wish I was that aware while I was in it. That would have been fascinating. Can you imagine getting to that point were you've had it and ready to bail but then stick around with a 3 feet back of the head of Scientology perspective? Oh NO Ross and Carrie hint at something like that but they didn't get very deep before getting busted, although deeper than most who try that.

I've developed a lot of respect for HH here in that regard. I don't think I've seen anyone develop such a free flowing line of thought around the absurdities of Scientology than HH. I would love to see his material used in stand up and he is just as good as any sitcom writing I've ever seen. I guess that would be the other valid reason to study Hubbard - just for the pure J&D insanity.

Perfect recall is possibe, I once witnessed it. On my trip
to India I was reading a large 500 odd page novel. My
friend asked what page I was on, and then what paragraph. He then started reciting from that point with perfect recall.

So someone who can recall everything in a 500 page book as your friend may have difficulty finding his keys on a regular basis.

While I have seen many people who have been confirmed to have demonstrated extraordinary abilities of various types, I've not heard of anyone who acquired such abilities through Scientology services, certainly not the abilities described in 1950 by Hubbard in DMSMH.

Without doubt, Hubbard's greatest OT power was managing to keep the orgs--despite nearly insurmountable odds--stocked with fresh, clean, unused toilet paper.

LOL, actually he failed miserably at this. At least where I worked, at Boston Org during the 1980's.

Many times I'd go up and down several flights of stairs, checking all the bathrooms in the building, hoping to find toilet paper.

If I was making more than 33 cents/hour (about my average pay back then) I'd of bought my OWN supply of toilet paper.

Hubbard died just several years later after this was going on, worth hundreds of millions of dollars. I did my share to contribute to his fortune, working about 7 years for 33 cents per hour, or just under $700.00/year.

I would have to agree with the essay posted in the opening post. Lying and deception was Ron's OT ability. It takes a master con artist to successfully con a hundred thousand people simultaneously, and he was exceptional in that way.

With all the fortune he had though I can't imagine it was a very pleasant existence, hiding from law enforcement for decades, eventually getting to the point where David Miscavige was his only channel to communicate to the outside world, and knowing what we know now about Miscavige, Hubbard certainly pulled that in. Due to the "briefings" given him by Miscavige, Hubbard probably was in his own prison of belief.

I seriously wonder how that would have worked out.
What would have happened if a staff member were discovered to be hoarding unused toilet paper?
Ethics action? Comm EV? RPF?
For making the org staff responsible for the perpetually absent toilet paper wrong?

I don't think it would have gone well.

Met him on a road trip in India for a short while so didn't know him well. He seemed quite competent in all aspects. He wasn't a scientologist.

At school I knew someone who would seem to be an idiot
savant. Given a particular date he could immediately say what day of the week it was and other obscure abilities. He was
very poor academically.
