Mary Blackford is assigned as HCO Executive Secretary of the Independent Scientology Advanced Organization of the Great Plains (AOGP).

Interestingly, her resume lists editing Commodore's Messenger, Vols. 1 and 2.

The Commodore's Messengers books are by Janis Gilham-Grady. There is a thread about the books on ESMB, there is a thread about the books on WWP, and Tony Ortega has done stories about both books.

I had not previously heard of the book Scientology: the Hidden Philosophy. It is not on Amazaon.

"Commodore's Messenger," Vols 1 & 2 are Janice Gillham Grady's two books. I haven't read these.

All "Scientology: the Hidden Philosophy" turns up is this. Looks like "Ron good, tech good, CoS bad".

That's interesting. They've uploaded a bunch of Hubbard lectures to Soundcloud. Seems like from various issued lecture sets from the CofS.

They advertise they have the 1968 Class VIII Course lectures, apparently available "on verification of case level." I don't know if those are on Soundcloud too: I would guess so, but not in a general public index.

It will be interesting to see if the cult do anything about either of those.

-----

I see they're selling thetameter nanos for $275. I paid something like $500 for mine 10 years ago (?). $275 seems like more of a reasonable price -- although I don't suggest actually *using* a meter once over the wow factor of seeing shit read!

Poor choice of wording. I just used it to mean stuff generally, without any particular critical look at the subject generally, or how valid such reads are. Just something obvious, like you've never held the cans before, your attention goes onto something hot, and you see the needle make a big motion to the right at the exact moment you feel the emotional hit -- it really is a wow moment. It's what happens after that, when you imagine how useful this could be, that it all goes to shit. (Not meaning "stuff" there!")
