How Many Bullets Does the CoS have left?

CoS declared war a long time ago on a vast number of enemies.Wars can't be won without lots and lots of bullets and it appears that they are rapidly running out of ammo.

First, who are the enemies? Mainly they are:

1) Imaginary Enemies. Hubbard synthesized "virtual enemies" to solve his short-term tactical battles, to rally the troops and add spiritual nobility to the cause. Hate and fear unifies and thus he cynically exploited any human who trusted him by "briefing" them on their impending doom at the hands of Squirrels, SPs, Psychs, Reporters, World Banker Conspiracies, et al. The creation of enemies became an integral "successful action" to repeating a gross income affluence.

2) Created Enemies. These are persons who were at one time enthusiastic supporters of Scientology, Ron and the CoS. More recently, even uninvolved, neutral bystanders (e.g. Anonymous) were literally driven to take up arms against CoS for no apparent reason.

The "created enemies" category is particularly fascinating because it is the genus of "footbullets". One day a faithful parishioner is donating hundreds of thousand of dollars and the next day they are scaring the devil out of new public by parading in front of the Org's door with a Xenu warning.

The reasons why Hubbard shortsightedly pushed short term stats (tactics) leading his army into a strategic nightmare is rich material for another thread. Suffice to say, loyal CoS troops are terminally bogged down in an ever-expanding quagmire of "friendly fire" casualties and ambushes from every quarter. Desertion stats are possibly the only graph that is actually power trending.

So, what does the CoS have left to fight this losing war?

It appears....not very much.

Fair Game, once a covert weapon of terror is an old tired pitbull on its last legs that neighborhood kids openly taunt for laughs.

The barking growl is still there. But, an intimidating snarl curls back across its once-iron jaw to reveal a nearly-toothless animal.

How much fight is left in the CoS? I think we are going to see quite soon when COB fires every weapon he has at Marty Rathbun's newly forming congregation.

I think the Fair Game on David Mayo and other squirrels will seem like a warning shot compared to DM's desperation to remain the neighborhood bully.

Then we'll see how many bullets the CoS really has.

My guess, they will mostly shoot blanks and footbullets and the rest of the shots will miss. It will probably be noisy but just a lot of "sound and fury signifying nothing."

CoS has no surrenderTech. But they will need it pretty soon.

I don't think fair gaming can get much worse than what was done to David, but we'll have to wait and see.

They created their own enemies one by one.
Then the enemies started forming armies.

The people who wanted to leave had no alternative.
Now the people who want to leave have a choice of which group or loose asscociation suits their needs.

The very high up defectors especially had nowhere to go. They were different from others because of their specialist jobs (OSA etc). Now, these specialists have to deal with the ones outside, so they can see an alternative to carrying on where they are. They have somewhere to run to, where they will have support. BIG SPLITS HAPPENING NOW.

I would certainly expect a multi-pronged attack on Rathbun, most of which will badly backfire in PR meltdowns for CoS.

However, of the precious few bullets that CoS has left to fire, LITIGATION on the copyrights/trademarks is likely its best killshot.

I am wondering what Rathbun's strategy could possibly be to "clear the planet" (or minimally, to bring Ron's Tech to those who want it in the Freezone) without legally infringing on Scientology's "trade secrets".

I would guess that the "free ride" of the Freezone is about to end courtesy of Marty Rathbun's high profile.

Doom

Lurking.
well I think OSA just reloads old footbullets in to new brass and with a new primer and charge and keeps those footbullets flying, hoping that at least one lands in some one elses foot (speed of particle flow alone determines "pain" in this case), too bad their aim is just crap.here is a link to OSAs foot bullet cannon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sALiuWg_I1k&NR=1

Helluvahoax,

'With a whimper not a bang'

I find your metaphor compelling. The cult no longer appears to be much of an adversary. 'OG' and 'Anonymous' have sapped it's fighting strength. The action against 'Rathburn's Raiders' seems no more than a squirmish.

Most important, the cult's 'supply lines' are cut. The loyalists are 'bugging out' and there's little to no potential for 'new recruits'.

The current legal battles may be decisive, but they almost seem anti-climactic. Who knows what the future may bring, but the 'scent of overwhelm' may be a harbinger that this game is already over.

They must be fucked. for cash and people.

I remember the hullaballoo in 91 surrounding the TIME article and they went nuts with their Dead Agent packs everywhere. And then blew the wad of IAS money on the US Today full page ad campaigns.

In comparison there has a been a pittance of resistance from OSA against the "new fronts" from Anonymous, Rathbun, Isene, Headley's, St Pete Times, etc.

It really means all their PR machines have broken down. I think every new ad is sinking them deeper. Each time someone, with no idea at all what scientology is, sees an ad and gets curious, they get to find xenu.net and anonymous's messages and that is the end of their curiousity.

QED they're fucked.

P.S. OSA - don't act on this. You've lost already. So why not sink into apathy ?

The problem they have is....

...too many 'enemies' and not enough bullets. LRH planted the seed of scio's destruction in the 'fair game' policy. If he would have called it the 'ignore the detractors' policy, the church would have been much more powerful today. Instead of spending millions on legal fees, that money could have been spent recruiting more sheep. Luckily, the fair game policy exists. It will destroy them.

A little birdie told me the scenario at public level is that there is a big shake-up on management lines coming down the turnpike, as "they" have been causing all the trouble, presumably to DM. It's a wonder there is anyone left to "blame". I'd laugh if it wasn't so effing sad and so repetitive. How many times does a person buy that rubbish??? :confused2:

Well apart from the masses of tech on wikileaks, there is the whole
bridge up to OT 4 on Clearbird sites.

Excellent point AngeloV! Makes one wonder the origins of Fair Game in the Church of Perpetual Footbullets.

Now Presenting: Scientology, the early years. Basic-basic on the Fair Game Policy...

1950 RON (bubbling with exhilaration) "....and I can make it a Church and it can be the Science of Knowing How to Know and it can deliver all beings to Total Freedom and---"

RON'S CONSCIENCE: "Wait! What if it's all a scam? What if it doesn't really work?"

1950 RON: "Uhhhhh...Okay...Maybe in that case, can we cave people in and blame them for not applying it right?"

RON'S CONSCIENCE: "But a totally free person who knows how to know....they will know that it's a con game!"

1950 RON: "Hmmmm. (thinking, then with a broad grin) Okay, then anyone who accidentally gets free and knows it doesn't work... has to be quietly removed without sorrow?"

RON'S CONSCIENCE: "OMG! You promise people immortality, take all their money and then, if they catch on to your con game, you destroy them utterly?!!"

1950 RON: (glaring at his own conscience) "You are a suppressive person! I hereby disconnect from you and Declare you Fair Game!"

It is certainly one of the things that will destroy them. Another will be people like us and the one's who follow that will not be silenced by CofS's policy of true supression.

FTS, who is "they' in this context? The DIV 6 staff?, or the public-nonstaff scientologists?

"Some Upper management" have apparently been causing all the trouble and will be removed or something, there is news to be announced soon, this is what is being whispered at public level. No details, sorry. Nothing new anyway, it's happened many times before, blaming Bill Franks, Mayo etc. Maybe it will be Rathbun, most public have no idea he is even out!

Winston Smith

Flunked Scientology
This is a lesson in what becomes of evil people. Those who lie to themselves and then to their followers have to work continually to make sure the lies they tell "now" are synchonous with lies they told "then." Willie had it right: "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve." The mess Scn has created is without a solution. But, LRH began the web in 1950 and the culture encouraged by him has become a monster.

The "bullets" they have left are ineffectual.

DWINDLING BULLET KNOWLEDGE REPORT:

Recently The CoS and has used up a massive number of Celebrity Bullets in its desperately failing Public Relations War to win the hearts and minds of earthmen.

All of the bullets missed their targets and, notably, serious self-inflicted injuries were reported by the "big 3" Kirstie Alley, John Travolta and Tom Cruise.

Regrettably, CoS' top podiatric surgeons were not able to excise the bullets from the hobbled patients.

CoS Public Relations spin-doctors had "No Comment" when asked about their celeb-parishioners' crashing popularity.

However, a CoS spokesman Tommy Davis later went on record, and with uncharacteristically surprising candor, stated that:

"We categorically deny that Tom Cruise or any other celebrity had self-inflicted FOOTBULLETS. Tom strictly follows the policies of our Church which prohibit self-inflicted FOOTBULLETS. Ron Hubbard's policy is very clear on that subject. If any FOOTBULLETS were inflicted on Mr. Cruise, they were inflicted standardly by the Church itself, according to our holy scripture. "
