You are welcome. It's interesting about the uncomfortable comment. Since I'm still new at this, since Scn was such a part of my life for 35+ years and I spent all those years protecting Scn, it was an interesting experience to answer the questions. But, it wasn't uncomfortable. I didn't feel this particular conversation was strange. I felt it was fairly straight-forward. :)

Heeheehee, we're weird but we're not all THAT weird! :happydance:

(well, okay. Some of us are that weird. :melodramatic: )

Oh, it happened. There is a famous video of one OT VIII George Baillie using his superior communication abilities on ESMB's own Axiom 142. When I saw it on YouTube last, before it got taken down, it had received about 1.5 million hits. I'll see if I can dig up a working non-YouTube link for you. . . .http://vimeo.com/6322791

Oh ouch. I wouldn't consider that a very good example....... I'm not sure what "tech" he was applying, but it didn't go over very well, did it?

I suppose that depends on what side you were on at the time. The anons thought it went down wonderfully.

Whew! It took a while to read through this thread.

Welcome, Immortal. Do read up on the subject outside of the Church. Bent Corydon's 'El Ron Hubbard; Messiah or Madman?' is my recommendation.

Ephesians, 6:12

Ha! Thank you very much. That book is one of the first I'm going to read. I really appreciate your help. Is your story on ESMB? I'd love to read it if it is. :)

Yes, from some viewpoints he sure is, isn't he?!!! :omg: I think he made Scientologists look k-razy. And if he's OTVIII? Well, that's even worse.....

My experience with OTVIIIs is that they're just as rude and emotional and full of flaws as everyone else. Just older and with less money. Though thankfully, a great number of OTVII and OTVIIIs end up here sooner or later. You can't get all the way to the top and see there aren't any of the promised abilities without being majorly disappointed.

Hm. I'd like to see Tory and Astra's vid. Can you direct me to a link?

Thank you :)

I hope WO doesn't mind me answering the part about Astra's vid.

Astra was one of the founders of Ex Scientology Kids, the first forum I joined, and I believe I have read all of her posts. We also exchanged a couple of emails, so I feel I know her a little from an internet perspective.

To get the full picture, you might want to listen to all the Woodcraft family videos, which can be found at the following link:

Click on the names of Astra, Zoe, and Lawrence (their father) and you can see interviews with each of them.

http://fairgamestop.org/clamnanny.zip <-- this contains a little programme..

a programme which is loaded with the list of words (and websites) that were banned by the imfamous filterwarez distributed by Co$ in the mid - late 90's. In use you just click on an interesting word, and then doubleclick on the search engine of your choice, it then fires up a browser window with a search of that word

the results are *very* interesting

}-------------Howto use-----------------------------{

in windows just put the contents of the zip file in a new folder, and run the executable (it does not install anything, it just runs right there and then)

in linux place the all files in your /home/ directory ( it breaks anywhere else)

apple = not catered for - sorry

}---------security advice-----------------------------{
it is not reccomended to just download and run spurious executable files from sources you don't trust, however there is a safe method...

http://sandboxie.com/ <---- INSTALL THIS FREE PROGRAM
then when you right click on any file, there's an option to "run sandboxed"
this means NOTHING happens to you're precious windows install
anything written is done so within the sandbox (and can therefore be erased)
