We (wife and I) had this conversation last night. I told her, that at the very least, if you do not put in QUAL with a vengeance, when you have employees who get paid on commission only, there needs to be a SALARIED employeee doing customer service, with a strong moral sense, who would never lie or cheat anyone out of a dime. Someone who will fight to get a refund where no product was achieved for the client, and in a timely manner so that the foreclosure can be averted. Unfortunately, the scam put on by the banks with these sub prime mortgages has caught up with us, and a huge wave of failures is coming through. The govt. is actually forcing banks to convert to 30 year fixed, but it is too late for many who are over extended.
I used to be the customer service manager in a company that sold long distance over the phone to various publics. Keeping sales people on track isn't easy. It requires constant vigilance, constant willingness to fight back, wait a minute, that sounds familiar....The job nearly drove me crazy. I had to go do a mindless job for awhile to recover.
I hear you regarding being ready to move in to Herbs house. Poor guy. Never feel sorry for a guy with a mansion. Or a plane. ( I have a plane).
