Cancer seems to be going around

One of our fellow contributors on this list has it. My son has it. Alan died of it recently. It is defnitely going around.

My son sent our family this letter, while we were in Sutter Creek, last week end at the Ragtime Festival:

Hi family,

I thought I would share with you...I was diagnosed today with chronic myelogenous leukemia. It has been caught early. The lab still needs to perform genetic testing on the bone marrow sample (don't quite understand why this matters). Final results will be ready in a week. I should start drug therapy a few days later.

This was of course not the desired answer. However, 90% of patients taking Gleevec (the drug therapy) are in remission at 5 years. These are good odds. This is an odd time for us - not really prepared for this. We definitely can use your continued support and love.

If you want to read a blog from someone that went through the same thing (and also happens to work at eBay where I am currently a contract employee) check this link:

http://hatefulblood.blogspot.com/

I would love to hear from each one of you - phone or email. I know, "what do you say?" As far as I know, Hallmark doesn't make a "sorry you have cancer" card. So, we'll have to improvise. Please don't feel uncomfortable. I am still learning too.

I forwarded it to Heidrun, who knows a thing or two about curing cancer. This is from her reply:

This reminds me of the story of the man who drowns on top
of his roof, after sending away two boats and a helicopter,
saying that God will save him. Finally in heaven he says
to God why didn't you save me? And God says what do you
want, I sent you two boats and a helicopter...!

I'm just kind of throwing this out on the fridge (like spaghetti) to see what sticks.

My feeling is that there are lots of cures for cancer, some alternative, and some mainstream. The dopiest ones seem to be the Scientology true believers who plan to postulate their cancer going away, but not take any offered physical help. I think Yvonne Gillham and Sally Chaleff died that way.

I'm sorry your son's struggling with this. I read the entire blog he linked to, and it's an amazing blog.

A writer whose books I like, Jay Lake, has been struggling with cancer. He's an incredibly open person and it's interesting to read. Here's his account of a PET scan, for example.

It doesn't mean anything, but, I was just talking about Arthur Lee of 'Love' earlier today, who died of acute myeloid leukemia in 2006.

My best wishes for your son. We're all faced with the insult of mortality. There's nothing wrong with rejecting the insult. As long as we can.

Just to get a feel of that 421B, I did a few landings and takeoffs on YouTube.
Those are some of the nicest sounds I ever heard coming out of those engines !

Here is a question for you.
Why can't they put reversible props on piston engines, or do they ?

Didn't know you could fly airplanes on YouTube.

They've had controllable pitch propellers on piston aircraft since the 30's...the DC-3 had them. Smaller aircraft don't really need them...most aircraft over 5,000 kg or so have them.

Carmelo, when I left the Sea Org in Dec, 1973 and joined my Dad's business, my Dad, then 60, had just been told he had leukemia. Apparently, it was a mild version of the disease and he was told that it was in remission but that it could flare up at any time. They gave him some pills to take and told him to have his blood checked every few months. Pops lived to 88 and did not pass on until Jan, 2002. Three times between 1973 and 2002, my Dad's leukemia showed signs of activity and all three times he was treated as an outpatient and given pills or injections or both and all three times his leukemia went back into remission. He lived alone in Leisure World, still driving his car and being very active up to 10 days before his death. At that time, we were told to put him in a hospice facility near our house. Even there, he was fully mobile and animated and we visited him on Jan 5, 2002. He was watching his old favorites of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and everything was normal. He complained of a mild headache. The next morning we were told that he woke up early, complained of a headache and the nurse went away to get something for his headache and upon her return, about 10 minutes later, she found him dead.

Oh yes, it was not leukemia which killed him but it was cancer. He had contracted cancer in the bile duct connecting the liver to the pancreas. Based on this experience, there are some leukemia's which are dormant for years on end and are treated easily.

Yvonne Gillham (Jentzsch) and Sally Chaleff did die as you say. Yvonne had a brain tumor. My understanding is that the Medics told her that had she had regular check ups, her tumor would have been diagnosed early and her chances of beating the cancer, with the medical tech of 1977, were very high. As it was, she never went for a check up, probably for decades, the tumor was advanced when it was discovered. She was given an option of surgersy to remove the tumor and was told that she might well survive but she would lose many of her faculties having to do with being ambulatory and with speach. She chose not to have the operation. She was OT7 and Class 8 and it would have been terrible Promo for her to have slurred speech with gaps in it and walk with difficulty. She was given "end of life auditing" and told to pick up a new body and rejoin the Sea Org. I have heard rumors that Alexander Jentzsch is Yvonne. Yvonne was 47 when she died.

Sally Chaleff was low on the Org totem poll and no effort was given to her to treat her cancer or ease her suffering. From what I read, all second hand, she was scolded for being downstat and pulling in cancer and she was ordered to die as quickly as possible, pick up a new body and rejoin the S.O. She was just left to be by herself in an apartment with the orders to die as quickly as possible.

Two of my best friends, Beverly Carter and Susan Todhunter both died od cancer at Flag in 1992, Susan was 47 and Bev 52.

Aww. How cool. The Christopher the cat story that is....

btw. I'm sure that Diana Samuels might be a common name, however I do wonder if any relation to Diana Samuels, ex-wife of former Cosmod mission holder Martin Samuels?

I just read your other post, Carmelo, and I'm so sorry to hear about your son. I'm betting he will do just fine - between the medical treatment and alternatives. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Johnnie, reading your quote above. I recognized another good feature of your "response" ability oriented tech. We all see your point that you attempt to respond with joy to any news which you receive. Most of us already had the ability to respond with joy to the "good" things which happened to us before we ever met up with you. I, and probably most others, put all our focus on responding with joy to things which did not appear "so good" on the surface, basking in the glory of having intended something and then bringing it to fruition.

We can and should also apply your principle when good things happen to us! We caused those too and we must celebrate them. We do not have to be overly modest and humble but should celebrate when something really good comes our way because we intended that to occur and of course, it did occur. In such cases, more power to us:happydance:

SUMMARY: I admire you and wish to thank you for a piece of tech which makes me more OT every time I receive an effect. If the effect seems unpleasant, I can celebrate that based on our earlier discussions and if the effect appears very pleasant, I can equally celebrate that based on our current discussion. Whatever the outcome, I am demonstrating OT abilities by making postulates which come to fruition! This contributes to a Spirit of Play amongst us and really makes us assume an OT point of view more than any other piece of tech which I have encountered. I wish to acknowledge you and I greatly admire you for bringing this wonderful piece of tech to our attention!!

Thanks again for your brilliance and willingness to make life more joyful, for when you do, we all benefit. I first encountered this with my :aliengreeting:alien friend Bashar at the time of my declare. He said:

1) All situations are fundamentally neutral. No situation has built in meaning. We add the meaning to anything that does or does not happen.

2) Negative meaning, negative effect on self instantly

3) Positive meaning, positive effect on self instantly.

:spacecraft:I love enjoying my creations, and I love it when others do to. Also I love it when others enjoy their own creations, and I love enjoying them also.

:runaround:Once again, I feel we should get all the admiration we can, and give all we can. Never need it, but get it whenever you can. Love John

Others Seeing the OT Experences

Yeah them otie stories are great, aren't they? Funny thing though, the person writing never cites the witnesses identity or the story is written by a second or third or fourth party. Anyone ever witness one of these miraculous things in person, first hand? Funny that.

Yes I have had other people witness some of the OT experiences, My wife Carolyn, some of my family, Virgina Lang, Terry Gibbons, and most noticeable Stella. Stella and I experienced many together and I will tell those stories when I get to them chronologically.

However most of the occurrences are very personal. Also when they occur, I find that I am literally in a state of consciousness that is NOT in tune with the physical reality others are tuned to, so they do not often experience the things I do. It's like being tuned to one channel on the TV, while the others to a different one.

:):spacecraft: My alien friend Bashar claims that my lifetime stable datum that "Seeing is Believing" is actually the reverse. He claims that "Believing is Seeing", that if you believe it you will see it, and if you don't, you won't

I find that I can never prove these experiences to another, for if they are not tuned to a state of consciousness or channel of reality that supports the experience, they simply do not see it. I have had others with me when things occur and I would excitedly say "Did you see that?", and I am disappointed to discover that they did not, for I so wanted them to experience them also.

Hope this helps. Best John

The power of Us.

Anybody! I mean a n y b o d y can do a make more / make less / move of clouds. Back in the 60s, before I'd had much of any auditing, a friend, Elsa Kappelhof taught me how.

On any given day, look up into the sky, and find a wisp of a cloud.

Decide for it to get bigger. **It must be a wisp to begin practicing this with**

After you have made it significantly bigger, change your decision. Make it smaller. Decide that it will get smaller.

After you have succeeded at this, make it disappear.

Chose another wisp, and do it again.

After you've had some practice, and gotten off the "disbelieve" on "It's really happening" start on a slightly bigger cloud. Work your way up to small clouds.

Take this as far as you want. The bigger, the better. This is not a process. It is just practicing a skill that you have. It isn't any more charged than learning how to ride a bicycle.

Beautiful... One of my favorite parts of the Star Saga is where Yoda is guiding Luke to use "The Force" to levitate objects. Raising the X-Wing Fighter out of the swamp, Luke is distracted from his practice in levitating objects as he perceives his X-Wing fighter sink further into the muck of the swamp.

Luke - "We'll never get it out now."

:alien2:Yoda - "So certain are you? Always with you it cannot be done. Here you nothing that I say".

Luke - "Master, moving stones around is one thing. This is totally different."?

Yoda - "No, no different. Only different in your mind. You must unlearn what you have learned?"

Luke - "Alright, I'll try.

Yoda - "Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.

Luke begins to raise the ship using the force, and Master Yoda's eyes widen as he see his student begin to succeed. Then Luke quits. You can almost feel the idea that comes into his mind, the idea that it is to big, the idea that size matters.

Luke - "I can't. It's too big."

Yoda - "Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size do you? And well you should not. For my ally is the force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it - makes it grow. It's energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we. Not this crude matter. You must feel the force around you. Here, between you - me - the tree - the rock - everywhere - yes - even between the land and the ship.

Luke - "You want the impossible".

Luke walks away in frustration and disgust. The, using the force Yoda raises the ship out of the swamp. As he gently lowers it onto the land Luke returns and stares in amazement..

Luke - "I don't believe it".

Yoda - "That is why you fail".

Looks like Yoda's right. We must unlearn what we have learned. Love Johnny

I love it, Believing is Seeing! I got some "TA" immediately upon reading that. It seems to me that some kind of process could be designed around the two phrases. "Believing is Seeing". and Seeing is "Believing".

LAKEY CONSTRUCTS A PROCESS -
You could run, "Give me an instance where Seeing is Believing."....once one does it, acknowledge and then ask, "Now give me an instance where Believing is Seeing." Run those repitively until one has a win, Then continue with, Give me ANOTHER instance where Seeing is Believing. and run that PAIRED. until the person blows out of his head. If the person becomes aware that he must first believe something before he can see it. Viola, the person has rehabilitated several OT abilities with that process. I might just run this on myself right now.

Roger, I hope you comment on this. Do you or Alan W. already have something like this in your bag of tricks? Ditto with Leon. I am not much of a tech guy but this process seems as if it could help big time in enhancing a person's abilities to me more OT like. at least in attitude if not in being able to demonstrate more OT like abilities but, more likely, in both.

I am not a tech go to guy so if this process is bullshit to you, don't worry about huritng my feelings, just say your piece and tell me were I am going wrong and how the process might screw someone up. Don't pull any punches.

Where did George Lucas or whoever wrote these lines get their tech from? Somebody involved in creating that script had a lot of OT data at their fingertips. Do you know what sources they were drawing from?

Carmello,

Sorry to hear your son's news.

I've learned from personal experience that the greatest chance of success with cancer is to push as hard as you can to get the most sophisticated medical care you can acquire as quickly as possible.

There's no question whatsoever that the most educated people in American society (and perhaps every society) receive the best care, utilizing the latest techniques. It's not simply a function of price.

Your son (and you as an unfortunate hobby) should be relentless both on the internet and in person or by phone with others who are allready knowledgeable on the specific disease, both patients and professionals.

If you can find ANY spare time while doing the above, addressing it "psychically" can't seem to hurt.

I know this sounds like a lecture but you asked for input.

Warmest regards,

Me

Input is definitely what I'm looking for. and thank you.

for the near future, it is an opportunity for my wife and I to corrupt the grandchildren. We took them to a movie downtown in the streets on Friday and to the beach yesterday. It is a mad dichotomy, giving the twins happy, safe, push the envelope, life and feeling grunchy about their dad. But you gotta play the game.

A comment to Not Ok and more on "Being is Seeing"

I wanted to concur with "This is NOT OK"'s comments. I have had good luck researching out state of the art medical procedures and using top professionals to deliver them. Blue Spirit just did this himself and even though he only uses medical as a last resort, he did use it recently to a very good result.

On the Seeing is Being and Being is Seeing process, this may be too advanced for me to run on myself. I am runing into a sort of GPM type of phenomena. Three fields that I really enjoy and try to use in life are Physical Sciences, Mathematics and critical thinking skills as applied to the Courtroom. All three of these 3 disciplines really heavily on PROOF!

PROOF - Proving things is so deeply ingrained in Earth societies and probably most other societies going much further back than Earth. To really prove something, it has to be made to persist and right there it contains a lie to some degree.

I have been trying to uphold a childlike innocent view most of my life and believe me, I have taken some real hits by doing so. I am talking about being ripped off of thousands of dollars of money, giving up my job in aerospace and now a wife who cites my naivite' as one of her big beefs in wanting to part company with me. Still, part of me clings to wanting to be childlike.

One of my idols, Mozart, was childlike his entire life, really big on Spirit of Play but he only lived a bit less than 36 years and considering the talent and genius level which he had, his life was not really as successful as it should have been. After his life ended, his survivors cashed in as did his reputation and legacy. I think that in the listing of the toop 100 lives of the second milliniuem, 1001 to 19999. Mozart was rated the 16th most influential life of the millenium, one ahead of Beethoven who was rated 17th, evn though Beethoven traditionally received much more hooplah until perhaps 1980.

There is sort of a conundrum involved where being childlike leads to a lot of spirit of play, which is good, but the downside is that one is continually taken advantage of and is often cheated, stolen from and hurt by people. I have been upbraided by my kids and ex wife for not being more prudent, not signing the proper documents, not getting "proof" of the efficacy of things, not dotting i's and crossing t's. I proceeded mainly on trust and often my intuition was incorrect.

In running that process I just designed, I kept coming up with the need for proof, the need for tangible proof. I can't get around the need for proof and yet I know the process is an attempt to get one to just deny the necessity of the need for proof and just decide the things which he/she want to happen and they wiill happen. When this occurs and I can't blow things by inspection, I back off of it. Trying to figure it out aalytically usually results in a big figure-figure and causes a beef up of mass so I never attempt that.

Nine lives, sixth sense: Cat at veterinary clinic seeks out ailing cats

By Diana Samuels
Daily News Staff Writer San Jose Mercury News
Posted: 08/18/2010 08:04:38 PM PDT

All cats may have nine lives, but Christopher, an orange and white tabby who lives at a Redwood City veterinary clinic, also has a sixth sense.
Dubbing him a "guardian angel," "wonder cat" and "miracle kitty," the staff and volunteers at the Nine Lives Foundation's Feline Well-Care Clinic say Christopher can tell when other cats need help. He will sit outside the cages of sick felines until someone lets him in, and last month, the clinic says, he saved the life of a kitten in need of a blood transfusion.

"It's weird, it's really true that he seems to understand things," said Monica Thompson, Nine Lives' chief veterinarian and founder. "He knows when he can help. He alerts us when things aren't right about a cat."

Christopher, who is about 3 or 4 years old, was found on the side of a road by a group of bicyclists in March. He arrived at the clinic unable to stand, his pelvis fractured.

He recuperated, and one day simply jumped out of his cage while it was being cleaned.

Since then, Christopher has lived at the clinic. On Wednesday morning he snoozed in his favorite cat bed on a desk, ignoring the hustle and bustle around him. As is typical for Christopher, he was napping next to a terminally ill cat.

"He'll often paw at a cage door to be let in so he can clean and comfort a cat in there," said Robert Lowery, a San Ramon resident and volunteer at Nine Lives.

He even became known as the "feral kitten tamer" last month, when he asked to be let into a cage with two feral kittens that were "untouchable, just hissing and growling," Thompson said.

Christopher taught the kittens all about being a cat, and within a couple of weeks they were tame. One has since been adopted, and the other is still available.

"The kittens were so excited to see (Christopher) that when he left the cage they would sit and cry," Thompson said.

But Christopher's biggest claim to fame is likely saving the life of a tiny black kitten that came to the clinic July 11 with severe anemia. She needed a blood transfusion immediately, and Thompson couldn't draw enough to even determine her blood type.

"I didn't know what I was going to do," Thompson said.

Christopher kept jumping up on the operating table, rubbing on Thompson and nuzzling the kitten. So Thompson grabbed Christopher and used his blood for the transfusion.

Thompson didn't know it at the time, but the kitten had an uncommon "B" blood type found in about 20 to 25 percent of the cat population. It's also a blood type usually found in purebred cats, Thompson said, so she wouldn't have expected to find it in the black shorthaired kitten.

As it turned out, Christopher also has Type B blood. The kitten was standing up within about four hours of the transfusion, Thompson said, and has since gone back to Humanimal Connection, the rescue foundation that was caring for her.

"If I hadn't paid attention to (Christopher), I probably would have lost the cat," Thompson said.

Though many people have inquired about adopting Christopher, Thompson said, he "serves a purpose" at the clinic.

"Who knows how many cats he'll save in the years ahead," Lowery said.

Lakey, since what you seem to keep coming up with here is the need for proof, what would happen if you address the need for proof (needing proof - not needing proof) before addressing what you were trying to address?
