Your reply went up just a minute or so after my post - Impressive!

Well Lakey, it's just my postulate of what may be possible... in response to those who are stating or implying that it is totally impossible, based on their viewpoints and belief systems...you are free to reject it as part of your reality if that is what works best for you. :) That doesn't hurt or harm me at all. It's o.k. to be as skeptical as you want to be, probably very healthy for you, given what you have experienced with COS!

"If he can do this on his own after such a sordid life, why can't the rest of us transform ourselves and reverse the downward spiral as he did?"

My point is: in my Universe, WE ALL CAN!!! I am postulating that we each have this ability to rise above our circumstances/mest/attitudes/hangups/limitations/viewpoints, forever as an ongoing, eternal game/challenge/creative experience/expression of Life more fully! ALL of us who claim this ability can and will realize this for ourselves! :happydance: (I told you I was metaphysical...and I don't expect everyone to agree with me. This is a fun game for me to play, and I grant you your beingness to play your own game, whatever is most fun for you!)

You know, Sweetness, if what you say is true, then C of S and Ron's tech would have no need to exist. Even Buddhism and the Dalai Lama, while not completely superflous would be less needed. The Christian thing would be closer to the truth, the branches of Christianity where, no matter how sordid your works were, you could attain a heavenly state just by accepting Jesus.

Just imagine, if Ron's tech never had existed, then none of us here on ESMB would have met and none of the pearls of wisdom of this thread would have ever been uttered.

Seriously, when you said that you are postulating a universe where one who has led a sordid life can do a complete reversal at will after body death without going through any penance. When you said that, I see that it conflicts we my core beliefs. When I signed on to the MEST Universe, I insisted that atonement and penance must occur before one could receive salvation in an after life or be born back in a higher condition that one was in when one departed his or her body.

In closing tonight, I heard a Mozart Piano Concerto tonight which is about as good as Mozart can get. It is his Concerto #9, written at age 21 in Salzburg and is his first GREAT piano concerto of the 27 he wrote. The pianist is a young male with a Scandanavian name and seems to both the conductor and solo pianist of a Scandanavian orchestrra of young people. There is an opening fast part and then at 3:31 into the video there is a switch to a Minuet theme which runs for 3 minutes. To me, that minuet is about as good as music can get. After the minuet, the first theme reappears and closes the movement and the piece.

I think...

Um, FoTi, I think you might be signaling to them with your TR stare: I'm a bigger and badder predator than you are, and I'm about to attack you if you don't back down! :nervous:

The original catty stare is an open question: are you friend or foe? The slow eye blink "eye flash" signals "friend here". It's kind of an unspoken acknowledgment and granting of beingness, inter-species. :) I've done it with lions and tigers, but not yet a bear, oh my! :coolwink:

Cats get upset and disappointed when you don't recognize and acknowledge that they secretly rule the world or at least your household. So there. :D

Yeah! :) They also MUST to seat on top of your book when you are reading it, or on your keyboard when you are typing, or on your face when you are sleeping, just to make sure you are protected or something.

I've never noticed a cat blinking. What kind of blinking do they do?

The only thing I've noticed with cats is that they stare at me and when I put my TRs in and stare back at them they get afraid and run and hide. I don't know why they do that. :confused2:

The next opportunity you have to "put your TRs in and STARE" at a cat, try making eye contact, holding that eye contact very, very briefly, and then slowly blinking at the cat. Once. If the cat is still looking at you, blink again, again, etc. slowly. This lets the cat know you are not a threat.

Probably the cat will blink back at you. It's not a rapid blinking, it's just a deliberate closing of the eyes, then opening them again, retaining eye contact with you.

The reason they run and hide when you stare at them WITHOUT blinking is because your staring makes you come across to them as a threat (predator), so they don't feel safe, so naturally they run to protect themselves.

.. at least that's how it seems in my experience with cats. When they get around to learning to speak or write English, we can pin it down more precisely...

I find some cats to be quite facile at telepathy. Once had a cat who resisted being "named" (nothing I thought of quite fit) and when I inquired, she told me thank-you-very-much she already had a name and didn't care to be given any other silly idea of a name -- the name she flashed at me was written in what appeared to be some ancient language (I've no idea what), something I couldn't pronounce. So I just continued to call her "kitty."

This same kitty was good at catching mice. Problem was, she liked to play with them and too often they'd get away. After this happened a few times, one day she caught one, held it while she appeared to be "thinking," then had her "aha" moment, took the mouse to the bathtub and let it loose where it couldn't climb out on the slick tub surface and she could play with it until she got tired of it.

Bears are a relative of dogs, I think? I've not found the eye flashing to work with dogs -- maybe there's a different signal for that group.

I'll have to try it. I never spoke cat before. I don't think I'd want to try it with a bear. :nervous:

I agree with this completely ... I have used it for many years and it is true that it makes one appear to be non threatening and even friendly (I do it with dogs too ... I would try it with scientologists but I suppose they would just say "flunk for out TR's" !!!).

Lol at Hatshepsut ... good luck NEXT time you try that!

They also MUST drink your water!

My cats and dog always have fresh water, but every time I put down a glass of water, the cats have to drink out of THAT GLASS! I notice that if I have (clean) water in a container that I'm using for something like potting plants, or something -- especially if I put my hands in it -- they also have to sample THAT water.

I think it's an expression of community and affection -- the message being something like, "I love you, I share your water."

WHAT A PITY KULULA DOESN'T FLY INTERNATIONALLY - WE SHOULD SUPPORT THEM IF ONLY FOR THEIR HUMOUR - SO TYPICALLY SOUTH AFRICAN.

Kulula is an Airline with head office situated in Johannesburg .

Kulula airline attendants make an effort to make the in-flight "safety lecture" and announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples of recycled old jokes that have been heard or reported:

On a Kulula flight, (there is no assigned seating, you just sit where you want) passengers were apparently having a hard time choosing, when a flight attendant announced, "People, people we're not picking out furniture here, find a seat and get in it!"

---o0o---

On another flight with a very "senior" flight attendant crew, the pilot said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants."

----o0o---

On landing, the stewardess said, "Please be sure to take all of your belongings.. If you're going to leave anything, please make sure it's something we'd like to have."

----o0o---

"There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane."

---o0o---

"Thank you for flying Kulula. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."

---o0o---

As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Durban Airport , a lone voice came over the loudspeaker: "Whoa, big fella. WHOA!"

---o0o---

After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in the Karoo , a flight attendant on a flight announced, "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted."

---o0o---

From a Kulula employee: " Welcome aboard Kulula 271 to Port Elizabeth .To operate your seat belt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seat belt; and, if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised."

---o0o---

"In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child travelling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are travelling with more than one small child, pick your favourite."

---o0o---

Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Kulula Airlines."

----o0o---

"Your seats cushions can be used for flotation; and in the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore and take them with our compliments."

---o0o---

"As you exit the plane, make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses.."

---o0o---

And from the pilot during his welcome message: "Kulula Airlines is pleased to announce that we have some of the best flight attendants in the industry. Unfortunately, none of them are on this flight!"

---o0o---

Heard on Kulula 255 just after a very hard landing in Cape Town : The flight attendant came on the intercom and said, "That was quite a bump and I know what y'all are thinking. I'm here to tell you it wasn't the airline's fault, it wasn't the pilot's fault, it wasn't the flight attendant's fault, it was the ashphalt."

---o0o---

Overheard on a Kulula flight into Cape Town , on a particularly windy and bumpy day: During the final approach, the Captain really had to fight it. After an extremely hard landing, the Flight Attendant said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to The Mother City. Please remain in your seats with your seat belts fastened while the Captain taxis what's left of our airplane to the gate!"

---o0o---

Another flight attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."

---o0o---

An airline pilot wrote that on this particular flight he had hammered his ship into the runway really hard. The airline had a policy which required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a "Thanks for flying our airline. He said that, in light of his bad landing, he had a hard time looking the passengers in the eye, thinking that someone would have a smart comment.

Finally everyone had gotten off except for a little old lady walking with a cane. She said, "Sir, do you mind if I ask you a question?"

Why, no Ma'am," said the pilot. "What is it?" The little old lady said,

"Did we land, or were we shot down?"

---o0o---

After a real crusher of a landing in Johannesburg , the attendant came on with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please remain in your seats until Captain Crash and the Crew have brought the aircraft to a screeching halt against the gate. And, once the tire smoke has cleared and the warning bells are silenced, we will open the door and you can pick your way through the wreckage to the terminal.."

---o0o---

Part of a flight attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today.. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of Kulula Airways."

---o0o---

Heard on a Kulula flight. "Ladies and gentlemen, if you wish to smoke, the smoking section on this airplane is on the wing.. If you can light 'em, you can smoke 'em."

---o0o---

A plane was taking off from Durban Airport . After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement over the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to Flight Number 293, non-stop from Durban to Cape Town , The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and uneventful flight.. Now sit back and relax... OH, MY GOODNESS!"

Silence followed, and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier.

While I was talking to you, the flight attendant accidentally spilled a cup of hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!"

A passenger then yelled, "That's nothing. You should see the back of mine!"

Actually, I have used this technique on scientologists, and they tend to lose a little of that characteristic haughty, uptight, in-your face attitude and relax a bit. Maybe they mistake me for a common garden-variety harmless wog? :coolwink:
