I had several Aussies and Kiwi customers come to my establishment. Most had an appreciation for the US. One 30yr old fellow mentioned our being an indispensable ally to them in the war and radiated at me an undeniable warmth. I thought silently 'What war was that??':confused2: I could not believe that these fellas actually retained the gratitude of what must've been their grandparents. I was touched, really.

One of my very favorite films. I especially liked the part where the biographer/historian working for the Nazis called Patton a romantic warrior. And the part where I believe Patton was at Carthage and could 'smell' and 'see' the battlefields of yesteryear.

If I recall correctly, "Patton" and "On a Clear Day, You Can See Forever" came out pretty close to one another. Both had past lives mentioned. After seein Patton, I ran right out and bought a couple bios. The one by Ladislas Farago was my favorite. He has written other good books, the titles of which I've forgotten.

Loved those pinup artists. At eleven yrs old the people I babysat for used to bring home these risque cocktail napkins with these Vargas gals on them. I took to copying the art and became sort of popular in the neighborhood. The kids would bring me blank 6" by 6" napkins so I could illustrate them. This was 1966. Don't know what the draw was. I was fascinated with the pinups of the 40s.

This will draw the FCDC to boost our views. :wink2:

In 1966, my girl friend (a high school senior) was posing nude for art classes at San Jose State as her way of earning spending money. My guess is that wouldn't fly today - underage minors and all. It was the 60s. She was on the pill. When she was on the rag, her little tampon string dangled. There was a certain insouciance that Playboy and the pill encouraged.

Her name was Beth. she introduced me to Mose Allison Miles Davis, Erroll Garner, Lambert, Hendriks and Ross - musically and Jack Kerouac and Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. in fiction.

I liked the story the way it was told in the cinema. I do not really know if I would've liked the man personally. Looking at all of his quotes on wikiquotes he almost seems vulgar. Yet he was from an established family. I think that the soldiers' valence was the one he loved the most even though he was literate. I'm guessing his mannerisms when he was with Eisenhower and Bradley were quite different than when he was speaking to an exhausted 3rd army. I haven't read any books. Just what comes on the tube.

Patton was also an LRH type. He cultivated the 'myth' aspect of himself to the full, to the point where it became bigger than the man himself. Just like LRH.

After D-Day the Germans moved their armies north to use features such as rivers to delay the allies' advance. Patton was given the task of striking eastwards through France - where the German's weren't - in an attempt to bypass the entire German army.

All went well until he reached the German defensive positions on the border. After it took old blood and guts and his much vaunted third army an entire month to break through these defenses, he discovered to his horror that they had been manned entirely by old men and the walking wounded from other fronts. This fact was kept very quiet for propaganda purposes.

Much has been speculated and debated in armchairs around the world about who or what really won the war in Europe. The British say they did, and the American of course that they did, ectc etc etc ad nauseum.

My own view is that Germany lost the war purely because of Hitler's continued interference n military matters (as Churchill did too), while the British won the war for the allies because of (a) cracking the Enigma codes, and (b) gaining complete control of Germany's spy network in Britain. Without these two factors the allies would not have won short of an atom bomb on Berlin, and without Hitler's interference the Germans would have won before the bomb was dropped.

My father, who drove tanks for a while, but mainly was a pilot during WW ll thought the other generals were woosy compared to Patton. He thought Patton's leadership style and smarts was better for winning the war. You have to look at WHO Gen. Patton was communicating to. His communication style was TO WIN.

I love the movie. Seen it a bunch of times. one of the few movies I've actually purchased as a DVD.

Carmelo, I took two dozen photos of the model railroad society project that my mom and dad put together over the last 20 yrs. Some of the pics you won't be able to tell whether they are manmade miniatures or the real deal. My connection is so slow I could cry. I have Sprint and this area I am in temporarily is a Verizon area. I will have to find the youtube vid where I made a collage and put train songs on the sound track with MovieMaker. There is even a song by Jack Galou in FRENCH ___The Wabash Cannonball. Did you ever here them sing that in Quebec!!!! Too funny:D

Thanks - Yep - I've go the ability. I'm a healer.....

Well, I was going to go to bed.

I used to lie in bed and listen to Red Skelton too, as well as The Green Hornet, Mr Keen, Fibber McGee and Molly, and all the rest of those really cool radio shows. I loved the radio so much more than TV. With the radio I could use my imagination. When TV came in, imagination was no longer needed because the picture was already made for you. I didn't like that. Radio was a much richer experience for me.

I remember Mr. Keen as well, Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons. Don't forget the Westerns, The Lone Ranger, The Cisco Kid, Red Ryder, Straight Arrow, no there was no Gay Arrow, it was decades before Gays came of of the closets of the world. The radio dramas helped people develop their imaginations and their was no harmful cathode ray tube to stare at so it was beneficial and not harmful for kids to hear the readio programs

Good music never gets old.

Where I live in Tennessee, one has to have a license to do any kind of hands on work....it's against the law to touch anyone for any kind of bodywork without a license. I don't know if that's true in California. Last I looked one didn't need a license to do bodywork in California, unless the law has changed. You might check it out.

Unless one is trained in what's safe and what's not safe to do to a client in massage, it's best to stick with energy work. Have you read the book "Quantum Touch" by Richard Gordon? That would fit in well with what you are doing. Also Reiki would go well with what you are doing. People will come to you for help if what you do is effective....and you don't have to go to school or have a license to do energy work, as far as I know. Just do what works and gives people relief.

There is a massage therapist in Canada who got a practice going after he graduated from school by giving free massages to whoever wanted them. Within 6 weeks he had a going practice and started charging for his services.

I would say just check out the laws where you live and then go for it. From your posts here it sounds like your methods are very effective. You could build a practice and have people come to your home....no overhead. A lot of times people like it if you will come to them at their home or office. You obviously have the ability to help people, so go forth and use it.

My friend Edey thinks that California may have the law of which you speak about touching someone. She said that the way she got around it is to get a minister's certificate. She says that for $20, I can get one on line. I never did the minister's course in C of S or that would have sufficed.

On accupressure message, I first started getting them in 1974 from the Masseur, Eddie, whom I still know. I' ve had hundreds of them in ensuing years. This little girl, Annie Chang, was giving me massages in Fullerton as recently as early this year. She is 5'2" and 115 pounds but has very strong fingers. She walks on my back while holding on to iron bars affixed to the ceiling. When my business start tailing off, I quit going in early this year. I am so spaced out casewise from being on this thread that my body alignment is remaining very good, I can get by without regular massages.

There is no question that I have special healing gifts! I have soft hands but strong fingers and an excellent touch. I was not formally trained in a school but Eddie has explained a lot of the tech to me. If worse came to worse, I could probably enroll in a school here and learn the names of all the points and meridians and become certified for a few hundred bucks.

I have been dabbling in healing for a long time in past lives. I believe that in my Vienna lives, I encountered Dr. Franz Anton Mesmer of Mesmerism fame. He was very radical for his time. He believed in transference where if he had perfect eyesight and a patient was nearsighted, that by stroking the patient in a certain way with rods covered with animal fur which had been rubbed so as to create static electricity on them, his good eyesight could be transfered to his patient. The problem he was encountering was that their bad eyesight would be transfered back to him.

Mesmer was a dabbler in music as well and owned a glass harmonica, originally developed in the USA by Benjamin Franklin. The young Mozart and his Father, Leopold visitied Dr. Mesmer when Mozart was a youth and Mozart wrote a beautiful piece for the glass harmonica.

At the end of his life Mozart returned to the Glass Harmonica, writing this eery and soulful piece written just a couple months before he died. Here is the slow adagio movement.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNRpf1aVAyI

Next is the bright sparkling rondo. If you only watch one video, watch this one because it shows the glass harmonica being played and shows the other musicians as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7_SjIlmtIw&feature=related

It seems to me through listening to this, that although he was only 35, he already knew he would be dying soon and the adagio was a way of dealing with that. The accompanying rondo is sparkling and even appears cheerful on the surface but still it was written in anticipation of death or so it seems to me.

Besides the Mesmer experience, I was promoting myself as a healer much further down the track maybe in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece and always did well at it and was never "run out of town" as a charlatan. I had the "seeing eye" something like the thing that is on the back of U.S. money and is part of the Masonic beliefs. I could look at people and get a lot of pictures and size up their health to some degree.

Well thanks FoTi, I really appreciate all your kind information and good advice about hanging out a shingle to do healing.

Ken Urquhart on my Massage Technique
On my massage technique, I ran it by Ken Urquhart and he did not fully approve, in fact he had a lot to say about incorporating altered Scientology into self created types of tech. His main beef seemed to be that since I was not fully hatted in NOTs tech and only ran the parts which were run on me as I remember them, he felt that situations could arise where I would not know enough tech to resolve them and I might cause damage to my clients. This was true of using both NOTs tech and date / locate tech as part of my massage routine.

We went back and forth on a series of posts about this stuff. Its true on using the NOTs technique, I am always worried that something will go wrong and I won't be able to handle it so I decided to stop using that. I still wanted to keep the Date / Locate which I just decided to use for the first time about 2 weeks ago. He talked me out of that one as well. I, personally, always blew the charge upon dating, locating and pointing so that is all I remember but Ken pointed out that there is much more to the technique than those 3 things. It is a large rundown with a lot of steps available to do if the pc gets in trouble. I did not even know this because I always ran it smoothly.

Here again, he convinced me to drop it from my routine for the exact same reson as for the NOTs steps.

What I am left with in my process is just 3 steps.
#1. Strong accupressure massage
#2 Towards the end, go up on the head and find points that release static electricity from off of the skull and release as much as I can.
#3 While massaging, try and pick up mental pictures from the person. Use these pictures as I see fit. They can either guide me to which accupressure points to press on or I can start a little coversation with my client, such as, "Did you fall off a ladder a couple of weeks ago?" and 2 Way Comm with him from there until he brightens up, just using a good comm cycle and good acknowledgements.

I told Ken that I am not going to give up step 3. I explained that I have been doing this technique for33 years on family and friends and have never even come close to hitting something I was not able to handle. If I give this up, then what I do is just another massage and I am not even trained or licensed in it so why would anybody pay money to get my treatments. I have to introduce something significant that the client will not get with a regular masseuse and the mind reading plus purposely going for the release of static electricity from the head will fill the bill with respect to making me much different from other massuers and masseuses. Ken did not pressure me to give up the NOTS and Date / Locate portions of my routine but in weighing everthing, I came to the conclusion on my own that it was better for me to not deal in advanced Scio tech in which I was never trained nor drilled. Too much risk of my client getting messed up.

Lakey,

While I love Urqu to death, as noted in my earlier posts honoring him . . . he did audit some of my NOTs at FSO, I am not in accord with him on his criticism of what you are doing.

Having said that, one must also say that one should respect and honor his integrity to the LRH tech he is defending. And having said that, I must say I am not in accord with the LRH tech that is being defended. LRH's handling of spiritual connections is a gross error and disaster.

Title is "How Dangerous is New OTVII (Solo NOTs)"

In I give an alternative handling on the issue of dealing with spiritual connections, which subject is an important one that also has as many nuances to it as the handling of Beings just like you and me.

Personally, when I read what you were doing I had degrees of reservation about it . . . but I would not criticize it mainly because I was not there to witness exactly what happened and see the outcome. But my reservation is based purely upon the rationale of automatically always "blowing" any spiritual connection one encounters . . . not anything else.

Personally, I have found (based on the knowledge Alan W provided on the issue) that it is far, far wiser to rehabilitate one's spiritual connections . . . not sever them. Restore them to an optimum and harmonious alignment and relationship.

They are not necessarily or automatically "opponents" or enemies to be treated as such.

Like any relationship, the relationship with one's spiritual connections can go awry, get screwed up and result in fixed unwanted conditions and "pain."

When I was traveling the world following having done some NOTs before doing S/NOTs . . . and I found myself away from any processing facility, my standard handling of any "troublesome" spiritual connections (mine or another's) was to simply ask and have exposed the Being's intention/purpose being pursued and what was it doing as an automatic on-going creation. Spotting this unlocked the unwanted condition of jammed-up or encysted life-force.

Spiritual connections, just like us, can be dramatizing old, old inappropriate solutions: solutions which produce unwanted conditions in PT.

I never saw nor experienced any liability in doing that handling . . . non-standard LRH though it is.

The worst that could happen with what you are doing is that a "BT" might not "blow" . . . . as per what is "supposed to happen" with LRH's version of what is right . . . . but, do you think LRH's version of what should be is correct?

If not, then screw that potential "liability" of what you are doing.

The correct objective you should be targeting, if you are going to address a client's "troublesome" spiritual connections, is that of undoing the automatic process and action the spiritual Being is running/practicing that is causing/creating the unwanted physical condition.

When that is undone, the correct action and smart move is to have the client determine or find out what it is that he can honor and appreciate about the newly restored spiritual Being . . . i.e., what abilities/powers/actions/practices of the Being can your client recognize and appreciate . . . and have you client validate and appreciate the spiritual Being for such!

Then you ask the client after this is done: "What happened?"

YOu are likely to get some wonderful surprises as the answer :D

Spring had deepened into summer. My father’s corn, a forest of rustling green, laden with tasseled green ears, was far above his head. His wheat grew golden in the sun. Hay for the stock was stored in the barn. The day was warm; all was calm and quiet. I sat on the great stone at the door with Polly, my black cat, at my side, when there appeared a party of Indians, men, women and children, mounted on fine ponies. We were surprised; they were not. Nothing ever surprises an Indian. They took possession of the hill in front and began to unpack their ponies, build their campfires and cook their venison. The children played in the grass, and I joined in the sport. I did not understand their tongue nor they mine, but a smile is the same in all languages. The game was not a difficult one; they found me their equal in all we undertook. My freedom from all fear won the hearts of old and young. On account of my golden hair at which they seemed to marvel, they gave me for a name, Na-so-rah-sooch, which I afterwards understood to mean “Child of the Sun.” The friendships formed at Whirling Thunder’s camp lasted for several years of my life.

The men of the Winnebago Nation were usually tall and well formed; their women, many of them, models of grace and beauty. I wandered at will among their lodges, watching them at their different employments. The women were never idle. They dressed the skins of the wild animals their braves brought home, curing the flesh for winter use by cutting it in strips and exposing it to the heat of the sun without salt. They wove baskets of wild grasses from the prairie or of rushes from the stream. They made, for themselves, tunics, soft, thick, and white, of fawnskins, and moccasins, gay with beads, of buckskins. They embroidered their blankets in many colors. Bearskins, they used for mats in their lodges.

Whirling Thunder’s lodge was a large one, handsomely decorated. One picture represented a flying enemy with Whirling Thunder in hot pursuit; another, a stag pierced by an arrow, with head and antlers high in the air as he sank on his knees to rise no more. The pictures, or picture-writing, excited my curiosity. If the outside was so grand, what must the inside be? I went boldly in and viewed the scene.

Two women occupied the lodge. One was tall, dark, and sad, her eyes as black as a starless night. She moved slowly, with grace and dignity, and with an air of utter hopelessness. She did not smile upon me or caress my curls or heed me in any way, but silently continued her work. In another part of the lodge, reclining on a pantherskin, was a young woman. She was beautifully attired in a fringed fawnskin tunic; her neck and breast were bound with ornaments of beads and shells, and a large silver brooch confined her tunic at the neck. Her shapely limbs and delicate feet were covered by leggings and moccasins of buckskin. Her long black hair hung down her back and was decorated with feathers. At her feet sat a smiling infant, naked and beautiful as a Cupid.

It was while we were living in Illinois that my brother had died when only two years old. We put away his little garments and our grief was bitter and hard to bear. Through all my life I had never known the love of a brother or sister. When I saw the Indian baby, I ran forward with a cry of childish delight and clasped him in my arms; I pressed him to me, showering kisses and tears upon him in remembrance of my little brother. The tall form of Whirling Thunder darkened the door of his lodge. He stood with arms folded upon his breast and gazed upon us. The tall dark woman scowled. The mother of the little chieftain smiled. I cared not for any of them; I held him in my arms, and all of his struggles to free himself from my embrace were in vain. A smile stole over the chieftain’s face. He advanced to the dark-browed woman and spoke to her earnestly.

Then he raised me up, placed my hand in hers, and led us to the door, followed by the young woman with the child in her arms. Outside the lodge he beckoned a young Indian to his side and delivered a message to him. The young brave sped away swift as the wind. Whirling Thunder’s tribe soon stood around us, and in respectful silence they heard his speech, which was most earnestly and solemnly delivered.

Then the women and maidens of the tribe came forward; each one presented me with some treasure. The young braves formed a circle and a solemn dance commenced, all of them extending their war clubs above my head and then laying them respectfully at the chieftain’s feet in token of submission to his will. I was then led away by Yoc-si-ca, the dark-browed woman. How changed her countenance! A star shone through the night of her eyes; a flush was on her cheeks. She stood proudly before her reconciled chieftain. She was no longer childless. She would no longer be a servant for her young and fairer rival, Ma-ha-la, for I, although I did not know it at the time, was the adopted daughter of the old chief and his first wife.

I was a princess of Whirling Thunder’s tribe. He was the most honored chieftain of the Winnebago Nation. The softest raiment and neatest of moccasins were mine, and a charm, a circle of polished bears’ claws, was placed around my neck. I was made to understand, by signs, that when I was at home, waking or sleeping, it must remain there, and it did for several years of my life. I played happily with my little chieftain, Eagle Eye, and to the Indians I was their princess, to be served, respected, protected, and even obeyed. All this suited me well; no happier child ever lived. The little chieftain grew fond of me, for Indian babies are like their pale-faced brothers, learning to love those who amuse and are kind to them. I began, soon, to pick up the language.

Thanks Carmelo.

When I was a kid I loved driving down the Monterey Highway next to the steam locomotives pulling the Southern Pacific Daylight. My mother used to take me to The City by train. It was a treat. When the steam era came to an end the SP (Southern Pacific) gave locomotives away and scrapped them. Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey got one. I've climbed all over it countless times, as have my children, and now our grandchildren.

For forty years or more there was a coin operated model train layout at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Video games have replaced it. Nothing lasts forever.

I had an American Flyer and then a Lionel train set as a kid. Now my kids have them. Model trains are wonderful. Real trains are really fun. Many happy hours with both.

Yes, I am not in accord with LRH either nor much of his tech. The thing I keep reminding myself of is we would not all be here on ESMB exchanging all this wisdom if he had not come along. For that reason plus my own personal gains plus wonderful sincere people such as Urqu who defend LRH, it is proper to treat LRH with some measure of respect and not completely villify him.

In I give an alternative handling on the issue of dealing with spiritual connections, which subject is an important one that also has as many nuances to it as the handling of Beings just like you and me.

Sounds intriguing!

I had resevervations because I was afraid that I didn't know what I was doing. Roger, don't worry about always blowing any spiritual connection one encounters. I had already installed a new questiion asking whether the person wanted to keep the spiritual connection or blow it. I used this questioin on the Indian guy last week. He wanted to blow it.

I had already figured that out myself just by reading various accounts such as Carmelo's where he said he felt naked after his OT III and decided to quit C of S because of it. So many of us like many of our spiritual entities and felt a loss when they took off. In the non Scientology occult center where I spoke, many of the people claim to have angels, spiritual advisors and team mates appended to them and they have no intention of losing those conneciions. As a result of all this, I added a qualifying quesion as to whether the person wanted to blow the entitiy or keep it.

This seems much more thorough and superior to the What are you? and Who are you? questions. This is a nice imporvement which can be assimilated quickly and with ease and the theory behind it seems to be self apparent. Very nice piece of helpful tech, Rog!

I never trained on NOTs. I just had the NOTs correction list run on me several times when I bogged. I was thinking that before I run out any entities I should check out the correction lists, drill them, etc. I trust Mayo more than LRH these days when it comes to technical purity. Isn't it true that Mayo had a lot to do with NOTs tech and correction lists?

This concept seems quite marvelous and humane, Neither LRH nor Mayo got into this at all as far as I know. For LRH, who had an agenda, it is understandable. For Mayo, who was a straight shooter, it is much less understandable. Maybe he wrote something of this nature into NOTs and LRH deleted it, sho knows?

Then you ask the client after this is done: "What happened?"

YOu are likely to get some wonderful surprises as the answer :D

Great Roger. I was on Mate's thread a few times but not too much. I will revisit it in a new unit of time. Thanks for all your help and comments!
