Operation Snow White

"Operation Snow White was the Church of Scientology's name for a conspiracy during the 1970s to purge unfavorable records about Scientology and its founder L. Ron Hubbard. This project included a series of infiltrations and thefts from 136 government agencies, foreign embassies and consulates, as well as private organizations critical of Scientology, carried out by Church members, in more than 30 countries;[1] the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history[2] with up to 5,000 covert agents.[3] This was also the operation that exposed 'Operation Freakout', because this was the case that initiated the US government investigation of the Church.[3]

Under this program, Scientology operatives committed infiltration, wiretapping, and theft of documents in government offices, most notably those of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Eleven highly-placed Church executives, including Mary Sue Hubbard (wife of founder L. Ron Hubbard and second-in-command of the organization), pleaded guilty or were convicted in federal court of obstructing justice, burglary of government offices, and theft of documents and government property. The case was United States vs. Mary Sue Hubbard et al., 493 F. Supp. 209 (D.D.C. 1979).[4][5][6][7]"

By the way, "Snow White" was not discontinued.

As late as the 1990s, I've seen "Snow White program" issues and internal memos, and other literature, meant for Scientologists. The Snow White program seeks to obtain documents legally by use of the USA Freedom of Information Act, or its equivalent in other countries (as it did in the 1970s also).

The covert side of the Snow White is the Snow White operation which seeks to obtain (through spying, electronic snooping, burglary, etc.) information/documents (and, ideally, make them disappear, and ultimately, if possible, replace them - switch them - with other Scientology approved and re-written documents. This last step is not so easy.)

The overt and covert work together. Overt (not illegal "overt data collection") obtains what it can legally and, then, based on that, develops a plan to covertly (often illegally) obtain information/documents, by theft, etc.

Here's an example from 1999:

Criminals vs Criminals

Don't forget that it was not just the Big Bad CoS against poor innocent Uncle Sam. When the disinformation from Interpol re CoS was blindly being accepted and compiled by US Agencies illegally, and CoS had no legal recourse, (plausible deniability) WHO (World Health Organization) and co-conspirator's IRS, FDA et al, Operation Snow White was the only alternative outside of waiting for fifty years until the main culprits were dead and gone.

CoS was on Richard Nixons "Dirty tricks List" at the behest of WHO & friends. Whether we X's belive in validating Dianetics or Scientology Technology or not is irrelevant. Dianetics threatened to get a healthy piece of the Psychiatric/medical/Pharmaceutical pie, and the powers that be decided to destroy the threat....thus Dianetics needed to morph into a 501-c3 religious organization to survive, and fight fire with fire. Just saying...:coolwink:

That they know of!

Only speaking for the GO where I worked, we had our own local ones also. One was called "operation Dim Mak" where we put "entheta whammies" on enemy politicians to get sick before crucial voting involving CoS issues.:confused2:

Ah yes, the old “Well we didn’t have any alternative!” ploy. This was wheeled out for any Scientologists (including myself) who had heard of these things and were (rightly) wondering what a ‘church’ was doing getting involved in infiltration and theft from government agencies.

Unfortunately that line doesn’t hold water. There is plenty the CoS could have done if they felt they were being wrongly treated. The real reason behind this whole operation was that Hubbard was paranoid and convinced that ‘everyone was after him’ and wanted to remove evidence of his crimes.

And I suppose it would be too much to ask you to provide some evidence?

Specifically please show us some actual evidence that indicates that “US Agencies” were compiling information illegally.

And where is the documented proof that the CoS was on Nixon’s “Dirty tricks List”?

And since when did Dianetics get a piece of the pie? If that’s what Hubbard was after, he failed miserably didn’t he? And, if Scientologists were so effing OT, how come the whole operation failed so miserably and in fact turned into a major footbullet, if not a head bullet, and Miscavige and what was left of the CoS distanced themselves so thoroughly from those who carried out this debacle?

A brief glimpse inside L. Ron Hubbard's mind:

In his 1959 (confidential) 'HCO Manual of Justice', L. Ron Hubbard wrote:

"Dianetics and Scientology are self-protecting sciences. If one attacks them one attacks all the know-how of the mind. It caves in the bank. It's gruesome sometimes.

"At this instance there are men hiding in terror on Earth because they found out what they were attacking. There are men dead because they attacked us - for instance Dr. Joe Winter [wrote Introduction to 'DMSMH', and the book, 'A Doctor's Report on Dianetics' with an Introduction by Fritz Perls]. He simply realized what he did and died. There are men bankrupt because they attacked us - [Don] Purcell, Ridgeway, [publisher of 'DMSMH'] Ceppos."

Reflecting Hubbard's numerous letters to the American FBI during the 1950s, where he accused many of his prior friends and associates of being communists, Hubbard made reference to Ceppos, the publisher of 1950 'Dianetics', in a 1969 confidential "Scientology Intelligence Tech" issue, 'Intelligence Actions - Covert Intelligence Data Collection':

"The objective of the enemy is to discredit... Their first blast was from the San Francisco papers, Sept. 1950, quoting the publisher (of Book One) Ceppos being critical of me (he was a communist) followed by the LA papers, pushed then by Sara Komkovadamanov (alias Northrup) 'divorce' actions, followed by attempted kidnapping of myself. Other details were pushed into it including the murder of four and so on. This was a full complete covert operation. At the back of it was Miles Hollister (psychology student), Sara Komkovadamanov (housekeeper at the place nuclear physicists stayed near Caltech), Gene Benton and his wife - president of the Young Communists League... This was a full war against Dianetics."

In the early 1960s, Hubbard had come to regard John F. Kennedy as an enemy. He blamed Kennedy for the American FDA/e-meter troubles and referenced his assassination of 28 months earlier in the broadly publicized 1966 PR piece, 'What is Greatness?'. 'What is Greatness?', meant for a broad "wog" audience, extolled "love and forgiveness," and was published on the same day that the (non-remimeo/later 'confidential') 'Fair Game Law'-applying Guardian's Office was quietly established. Even in this PR piece, meant to identify Scientology with "love," Hubbard couldn't resist gloating over the assassination of John F. Kennedy:

"Were you to approach many ruling heads of state in the world and offer to set them free (as only a Scientologist can) they would go berserk, cry up their private police and generally cause unpleasantness. Indeed, one did - he was later assassinated by no desire of ours but because of the incompetence of his own followers about him. He could have tried to use Scientology. Instead, he promptly tried to shoot it down by ordering raids and various berserk actions on Scientology organizations. That he was then shot had nothing to do with us, but only demonstrated how incompetent and how mortal he really was."

From the 1969 HCOPL, 'Discipline - SPs and Admin':

"I am not interested in 'wog' morality... If anyone is getting industrious trying to enturbulate or stop Scientology or its activities, I can make Captain Bligh look like a Sunday School teacher."

Hana Eltringham Whitfield was there on the 'Flagship':

Mike Goldstein and Jim Dincalci had these observations:

David Mayo was there also. To find his description of the treatment of children on the ship, go to the last few paragraphs of tape three of the interview, or do a find on "peanut," after pressing "control" and "F": http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Library/Shelf/miller/interviews/mayo.htm

From 'Keeping Scientology Working', 7 February, 1965:

"We're not playing some minor game in Scientology. It isn't something cute to do for lack of something better.

"The whole agonized future of this planet, every Man, Woman, and Child on it, and your own destiny for the next endless trillions of years depend on what you do here and now with and in Scientology :ohmy::yes:

"This is a deadly serious activity. And if we miss getting out of the trap now, we may never again have another chance :spacecraft:. [See 'Implantology'] Remember, this is our first chance in all the endless trillions of years of the past . Don't muff it now because it seems unpleasant or unsocial to do Seven [Hammering out of existence incorrect technology], Eight..."

Just prior to the appearance of 'KSW', was published the piece 'My Philosophy', in which L. Ron Hubbard told Scientologists:

"Blinded with injured optic nerves, and lame with physical injuries to the hip and back, at the end of World War II, I faced an almost nonexistent future. My service record stated: 'This officer has no neurotic or psychotic tendencies whatsoever', but also stated, 'permanently disabled physically'.

"And so there came a further blow. I was abandoned by family and friends :violin: as a supposedly hopeless cripple and probable burden on them for the rest of my days."

And, on 7 March 1965, exactly one month after the appearance of 'KSW' was published 'Suppressive Acts, Suppression of Scientology and Scientologists, the Fair Game Law':

"A Suppressive person or group becomes 'fair game'.

"By Fair Game is meant, without rights for self, possessions or position, and no Scientologist may be brought before a Committee of Evidence or punished for any action taken against a Suppressive Person or group...

"Suppressive acts are defined as actions or omissions undertaken to knowingly suppress, reduce, or impede Scientology or Scientologists.

"Such suppressive acts include public disavowal of Scientology... public statements against Scientology.

"[Suppressive acts also include] 1st degree murder, arson, disintegration of persons or belongings not [emphasis added] guilty of suppressive acts.

"[Suppressive Persons] place themselves beyond any consideration for their feelings :nazi:or well being...

"The homes, property, places, and abodes of persons who have been active in attempting to suppress Scientology... are all beyond any protection."

The court judgement re. 'Snow White' and Mary Sue came in 1979.

Mary Sue was sacrificed by L. Ron Hubbard, who turned coward, and let his wife take the rap for crimes committed under his direction and with his Fair Game Law-applying "Scientology Intelligence Tech."

There was nothing stopping L. Ron Hubbard from coming forward and standing beside his wife. Instead, he chose to run and hide.

By the way, do you agree with L. Ron Hubbard that his 2nd wife, Sara Northrup, was actually a secret agent whose real name was Sara Komkovadamanov?

Sara was corresponding with Paulette Cooper in 1972. Do you think Paulette Cooper was part of the anti-LRH/anti-Scientology 'Smersh' conspiracy?

Hubbard did throw Mary Sue and all concerned under the "bus" with his terms of "Surrender". Not aso much to save his own skin, but to "save the ship" Commadore and all that!

There were so many moles and plants/double agents etc... from so many different "special interests" that it's anybody's guess who was working for who. The strategy of intel commanders is to infiltrate and turn agents into double agents and then some become "double-double- agents" buttering their bread on both sides.

LRH was not at risk for being jailed...he was at risk of "disappearing!" Quinton was the warning. He did not commit suicide.

There is so much disinformation and urban legend about it all, the real truth will never be known.

Hubbard only wanted to protect the tech in the end. He was a true believer you know!:coolwink:

Hubbard wanted to protect his self-aggrandizing "real goal" as described in the 'Excalibur' letter of August 1938.

You didn't respond to my questions about Sara Northrup and Paulette Cooper. Do you agree with Hubbard's 10th paragraph down from 'Covert Operations' re. Sara being "Sara Komkovadamov"? http://www.xenu.net/archive/go/datacoll/datacoll.htm

The Dianetics "piece of the pie" was statistically a drop in the bucket.

El Ron sold y'all out Hisself. El Ron was crazy but Hisself sure as hell was not stupid. Conspiring to, colluding in and directing the commission of Federal Felonies, risking everyone and everything was not how to go about, nor for, the “Protecting of the Church and the Tech”.

There was enough dough in SO reserves at that time to hire a battalion of first rate Lawyers and lobbyist to duke it out for 20 years or more.

El Ron called the shot and ran the show and the purpose was to cover Hisself’s delusional ass and protect the Myth of “He That Weareth the Majik Boots”.

If there was some multi-faceted conspiracy to take over Scn it was an inadvertent or de facto conspiracy of individual players, within and without, all jockeying for a chunk of the carcass once El Ron checked out.

Thank you, Markus.

Let me put it this way; Old “Face” here had more than a little “face time” with El Ron and was, on a number of occasions, a face in the crowd “assisting” Hisself to ride some of the expensive, self absorbed and goofy “Hobby Horses” the man was so fond of.

I have much respect for you Markus. I am so sorry for your loss. Although I was long gone when Uwe was spiritually raped, I was once a “Flag Officer” and thought I was helping to “audit out the Fourth Dynamic Engram” for the “next billion years or so”.

Whatta foolish young man I was.

May peace be with Uwe and you, Markus.
