Melbourne Org, a Disaster in the Making.

So given the Opening is on the 29th January, I'm wondering if DM is coming down for that ?

Hard to say - given the FU attitude of the Melbournites - but then again there are some big "donors" and high profile "names" that might not appreciate being snubbed if he decides to send a replacement. It could build more of a rift. Then again - maybe they don't give a rats and would prefer the opening without all the hoopla and BS that a DM event would generate.

Maybe DM is gonna be flat out micro managing the Rex Fowler case. Coming up with an explanation of how Rex wasn't really a Scio in good standing. Oh ...hang on... he was on OTVII ... well explaining how some evil purpose must of been restimulated... but hang on he just had 27 intensives of FPRD at Flag to get on to OT VII ... so maybe he just was not auditing OTVII correctly ... but wait he was trained at Flag, and we all know that Flag is the Mecca of Technical Perfection ... Oh well he must of had a psychotic break ... oh NO... OTVII creates a being at cause over life ....

Yeh he could be a bit tied up with that.

Hope there is going to be a good protest for the Opening. I liked Emmas point the other day about suggestions for signs - I really think any signs have to hit the Melbourne Scio mindset.

.

My bet is on he won't come to ANZO, not ever, he is a cowards coward and in ANZO anything is possible...if you catch my drift! Hell he'd be too scared to show his face in case it wound up atop the very same neck that was sporting a rope neck tie:coolwink:

My time in Melbourne was brief (three years) and I too ran into the "clique" thing with the "OTs" there. I wasn't from Melbourne and so I wasn't to be trusted fully.

I noticed that people like the Sullivans were having overseas holidays while I was there and that "OTs" in Sydney wouldn't even contemplate doing that as it would be "off-purpose"

And I was told that my experience and training counted for nothing in Melbourne as I had to "prove" myself to THEIR satisfaction.

And there was a general disdain for CLO crew worded by the OTs there. "Management" was routinely complained about and the incompetence of CLO and higher SO personnel was common knowledge. That was what I found refreshing about the place - there wasn't the bowing and scraping to CLO that was such an integral part of being a scilon in Sydney.

Wonder what's going to happen once the Int spotlight is shone brightly there. Especially when the Idle Morgue fails to "boom ANZO" all by itself.

Every year the Wickens family take a holiday in sunny Qld.

How many Sea Org members pull off their annual two week leave?

None, let alone any EDs of local orgs. They've got me wondering if they own a picture of David Miscavige getting cosy with Tom Cruise.

Cop ya later!

In 8 or 9 years on staff I had one two week holiday - to get married. I could neither afford a holiday nor get approval for one. Yet Tony & Cheryl had their annual holiday to QLD.

In one way I admire how they've managed to live a somewhat normal life and how they kept their kids out of the clutches of the cult, but on the other hand their treatment of everyone else's desire for holidays and to keep their kids educated and out of the cult just stinks of hypocrisy.

It amazes me how they've stayed on in Mel Day when they have such obvious "other fish to fry."

OSA ANZO - how does all this sit with your beans and rice, hmmmmm? :D

Great thread BIA, I love inside skinny :D

I have a question.

Where were these OTVIII's when the Senate Inquiry for Public Benefit Test was happening? OSA gathered together the same old tired OT's from Sydney.

Do they, Melbourne Org staff and their OT's, consider themselves to be exempt from any Public Benefit Test? By their attitude it would appear so and we'll see how that works for them when it's time to report the church's charity work and open their books etc.

Cheryl Wickens was Chief Off when I was in the SO and she took no shit from no one... good to see she hasn't changed her operating basis :coolwink:

As for Matt Fay, when he ran into trouble in his mid to late teens Leanne would organise for Matt to go to the Pollard's farm for some chill out time, and who wouldn't it was a great place to go. Alas with the passing of my dear friend Ron this option is now not available.

Leanne is a lovely person and I'm sure she will be feeling the strain, as any mum would, when your child is not doing well. Come out Leanne we'll set you up :yes:

Hehehehe ... Scoots , remember we are talking about the movers and shakers there, the groovers, the fashionista .... I'm sorry mate but blue stubbies and thongs were never gonna cut it down there. :D

Pat and Andrew were the not exactly on the cutting edge of fashion either but they were on the inner due to their name, their money and the fact that they had been Scios since the dawn of time.

Others like the Catts were walking advertisements for Vogue. They flew to Flag via Venice, Rome, Paris, Barcelona, London etc. as you do when you have such a long journey.

Melbournites are socialities - it's about knowing who's who and where to get a good latte and something incredible to eat - once again Scoots having an encyclopedic knowledge of birds and orchids and being a bean muncher ain't gonna cut it. So sorry - I think you were destined to not fit in - despite your excellent Scio quals !!! :melodramatic:

But like you say they don't take shit - so I too wonder what will happen when the INT spotlight is upon them. They are very good at the no answer drill and PR

This just cracks me up Mrs P. You really get it. :D

And it didn't matter if Peter Broadbent was declared or not at the time (you couldn't keep up with his status) - if he threw a partee....full attendance.

Maybe they will become the first whole org to defect and become the Freezone Melbourne Org! If the anzo case really kicks in they could just say fuck off, keep the org and contact, Terril.

Now that would be something.

You know that wouldn't surprise me!

If there was more status doing that though. :coolwink:

Great idea ...

I reckon Marty and Mike should rock up a few days before and open up the Org in the name of Independent Scientologists ... I reckon the Melbourne field would love it. No more bowing and scraping to DM and team and they still get to keep their Scio statuses ...

Come on Marty what are you waiting for ... this field is ripe for the picking and they pride themselves on being the bums and pirates ( in Armani garb - of course).

Hi HappyDays,

I'll tell you where they were ... sipping lattes or short blacks in some important business meeting. These guys don't jump for any one and they are especially adept at not getting involved in any cycles that are going to flap and take the shine off their excellent image. These guys are real pros at not getting tangled up with the crap. Most of them have comped or are on OTVII or VIII and for this lot it that means knowing how to get around things without getting anyone "important" offside - believe me they pride themselves in their ability to do so.

When we were originally briefed about the Ideal Org program in Sydney it was in Nov or Dec and the target to get the Org fully renovated was by the next March 13 LRH's birthday!! That was to raise the funds, get the plans drawn up, get it approved by INT, approved by the council, source builders/tradesmen and also have it constructed. I was just astounded that some moron from CLO would give us this ridiculously stupid time frame and so I questioned it. I really hated idiots in positions of power.

However she started taking me to task for my obvious CI. It was beginning to get a bit ugly. Fortunately Andrew Rinder was there and he gently put his hand on my arm, and gave me some acknowledgement that made me stop in my tracks. As soon as the CLO terminals had left, Andrew let loose his opinions about the whole stupid cycle. He just knew not to make it known in front of them what he really thought and he laughed loudly at their idiocy - His message ... don't take it too seriously Vick - they are all fucking idiots.

And yes ... look at the scraggly lot that did get pulled in from Sydney. The same old YES men . Not the slightest bit of flair or ounce of balls between them. You can't even compare them to the Melbourne crowd.

Now this is an absolutely brilliant suggestion, and they have a ready made NOTs C/S in Leanne Faye, who was a Melbourne C/S and is currently a NOTS C/S at AOSH ANZO. In addition, she could be easily trained as a solo NOTs C/S.

The reason I suggest Leanne is that not only is she a former Melbourne C/S but she has just experienced her son being plucked from the Dundas RPF and sent overseas. Leanne was a PC of mine when I was auditing in Sydney Day in the late '70s and I would only be too happy to train her as a Solo NOTs C/S.

So Michael Gordon (OSA ANZO Legal), who played a key role in having Leanne's son being sent overseas within the last month or so, I will do everything in my power to ensure that you are held fully accountable for your role in the Sea Org activity of what only could be called IMHO, imprisonment and human trafficking.

David.

Mrs P has it exactly right. I can't wait to hear about some of these guys being pulled in for sec checks now on CI/being PTS to the Middle Class/silent mutiny and so on.

Posted this on the other Melbourne Idle Morgue thread but have just heard the date for "opening" has been changed to 5th Feb - can anyone confirm this?

Apparently the change is because they have "special dignitaries" now coming.:roflmao:

There is also a broader group of less hard core Scios in Melbourne - those who just sort of dabble. These guys are amazing - they are able to socialise with dissaffected and even declared SPs and it does not come up as an ethic scene. I asked one of the dissaffected ones about how this actually occurs ? The answer was simple - they are all good mates so when they get together no one mentions Scientology or the Org !

Ha so simple .... it just would not work in Sydney !!!

.

So true Mrs P...

Phil Barton, who is originally from Melbourne, is still in contact with Peter Broadbent, declared SP by the Church, because Phil is in disagreement with Peter's standing. Funny though Phil's wife Renate is currently on OTVII so not too sure how that's working.

There is an old boys club of disaffected people connected through business down in Melbourne and at times they do go back on lines but if the org doesn't treat them with the respect and status they think they deserve .... well they lose them again.... maybe they should join the SO and they'll get all the status and respect they can handle ... pmsl

If Michael wasn't at the raid yesterday, perhaps they have shipped him out too in order to prevent such from happening.

The NSW police at Rose Hill station were asking pointed questions of Michael after all.:wink2:

Maybe he was the "escort" for Carol Miles and young Mr Fay when they were trafficked out of the country?

In which case, Michael could well face extradition if/when this case makes it to the Courts.
