What's new

I AM A CHRISTIAN SCIENTOLOGIST

Yes, we can subscribe to the "that which doesn't kill me only makes me stronger" theory. But really, looking back, can't we all conceive of many MUCH better ways to have spent our lives, time and money for far greater pearls of wisdom at nowhere near the total expenditure of time and money while sparing us the torturous rape of our minds and souls???? Minds and souls are very slow to heal it seems. :coolwink:

We can all conceive of many much better ways to have spent our lives, until we realise that "All things work together for good" but there is a caveat "for those who love God and are called according to His purposes".

I used to think it was saying that it is only after we are surrendered to God that all things work for our good, but now I see what it is really saying is everything is working for our good, all the time, but we often can't see it.

I fully subscribe to LRH's saying "Never regret yesterday - life is in you today - and you make your own tomorrows". The speed of the healing of the soul is proportional to the consideration of the need for time to bring about the healing.

The variant of this that I remember is that you don't audit out a bad arm...you audit out a good arm.

That's what I remember.

But, I also remember that all illness and injury was due to a PTS-sit and, presumably, a bad arm would be due to an illness or injury; hence, a PTS-sit.

Go figure-figure...

I am not sure I follow you. All I remember is one should get the PC to mock up bad arms.

Certainly sickness = P.T.S. I am not sure about the other ailments.

I don't care whether or not you find my responses annoying. That's really not my problem.

Religion didn't murder six million Jews. Or the other several million murdered in WWII by the Nazis. They murdered out of racial bigotry. The Nazis actually disliked Christianity. They thought it was only useful for social get togethers and for women. They much preferred occultism.

I enjoy your responses, and my life would be less rich without them.

Now Clarence! You know that Abraham was a "friend of God" because of his faith, but his armour was obviously not complete because he was still fearful (passing off his wife as his sister!) Hence we now need the full armour of God. :duh:
If that's the case, then you need to start searching for it. I can assure you that it isn't where you wasted 33 years looking. Maybe you should come to the Ozarks and consult with one of your confreres there. He'll show you how to spray your hair up into a three storey pompadour, and hopefully lend you his snake. As to your false Messiah, the only full thing about him was the SHIT he was full of.

Clarence to whom are you referring? Who is this person you are "going to flatten"?
You're pretty cagey, arentcha? You'd like me to name him so Emma could send me a warning, or worse. Well, Burlington Bertie from Bow, I may have been born at night, but I wasn't born last night. You'll have to get up earlier in the morning than you do, to pull one over on me.

Voltaire's Child said:

Himmler was an occultist, as were many in the SS under him, some as true believers, but for many it was only to ingratiate themselves. The rest of the Nazi elite accepted Himmler's occultism pretty much as a personality quirk.

It's a pity that when you were in Scn. you didn't reach the EP on 'others communicating with others'. You seem however to have forged your own awareness level...Expanded Buttinski.

Oh, I think there are a number of posts here that could be reported, actually.

Ain't we a bit paranoid. God's more likely to give you a warning than Emma. Mind you when I used to sell vacuumn cleaners it was a known fact that the harder the potential customer objected the better would be the sale.

So be warned, if God decides he wants you 'for a sunbeam', there will not be much you can do about it.

The great Sophie Tucker once sang/talked some lyrics that went like this:
'If you have a man and you find he's not a true one,
put your plunging neckline on, go out and get yourself a new one'.

I apprecate your humor.
I am not interested in a man, I have an excellent one.
I am interested in my daughter who disconnected from me 27 yrs ago.
At 80 years of age, I am not likely to get a new one. lol

The first thing is to recognise your Native State is power and don't disconnect. There is a level above communication and that is communion. Ron sums it up in his "What is greatness".

Duh.
Do try to keep up with whom you are addressing.

I really like her posts too, even though I still have what I would call issues with having been essentially child napped at 2 yrs of age and not meeting my father till 20 years later, his identity unknown to me for all that time. I just love people who have it more or less sorted out, it helps me.

It is important not to confuse Christianity and Scientology, to be able to combine the two one needs a thorough understanding of both. Scientology is dealing with the soul, Christianity is dealing with the spirit.
Pip, I think we can safely say that no one would ever confuse Christianity and Scientology: Jesus died for our sins whereas Scientology crucifies people for their money!

Pip, if the Triune G-d of the Bible is who he says he is, then you do not need Scientology to treat your soul and Christ to save your spirit. You may have some sort of intense fear going on if you need both the Blood of Christ and the e-meter. Your attempt to be both a Christian and a Scientologist seems to me to be the spiritual equivalent of wearing both a belt and suspenders.

I am not an "orthodox Christian", in fact, I am not a 'Christian' at all, that needs some explanation.
No explanation needed: Unorthodoxy means never having to say you're sorry.

Christian was not a name that believers in Jesus Christ called themselves, this was a name that non-believers gave them. They called themselves "followers of The Way".
Incorrect my dear Pip. The Book of Acts was written ~60 AD and declares:

Then Barnabas went on to Tarsus to look for Saul. He found him and brought him back to Antioch. They were there a whole year, meeting with the church and teaching a lot of people. It was in Antioch that the disciples were for the first time called Christians.
Acts 11:24-26
Believers called themselves Christians from 60 AD forward.

Historically the first recorded self confessed Christian was Emporor Constantine
See Acts 11:24-26

If we were to be completely accurate, Constantine was the founder of Christianity and he was certainly not a believer.
Pip, its called "Christianity" because it was founded by Christ -- with Paul's help of course. Constantine was certainly not the first self-confessed Christian: The New Testament teaches that a person must self-confess Christ in order to be saved:

But the righteousness which is of faith saith thus, Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down) or, Who shall descend into the abyss? (That is, to bring Christ up from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach: because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:6-10

Jesus did not come to start a new religion, but to restore a relationship.
That may be the case but it turned into a monster religion called Catholicism that schismed into countless other religions, denominations, and cults.

So you see it would not come into the catagory of "other Practices" whereas the religion of Christianity would.
Pip, Pip, Pip! You're being glib! Good luck trying to sell that nonsense to an EO at FSO. The EO would say BFD and write a KR on you for out KSW.

As I said my case level as per Scientology is Clear, my state as a "born again" believer is OT.
The goal of your relationship with Christ is to be One with Christ. LRH said that the Primary Error was that Thetans believed they were One. Therefore, you cannot be One with Christ and be an OT. Furthermore, OT's need to solo audit their BT's. Thus, to be an OT Christians means you would have unsaved entities that reject and deny Christ. Such a situation would result in a "house divided against itself" against which Jesus warned:

Then was brought unto him one possessed with a demon, blind and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the dumb man spake and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed, and said, Can this be the son of David? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man doth not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub the prince of the demons. And knowing their thoughts he said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: and if Satan casteth out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God come upon you.
Pip, in whose name would you cast out demons or entities? Would you do it in the name of Christ or by the Tech?

I hope this helps.
Pip, Jesus said that no man can serve two masters.

Pip, you must decide this day whom shall ye serve, Jesus or Scientology. It's not just me. It is Jesus saying it. Bob Dylan is also emphatic about this matter.

A nice thought, but as a Christian you aren't qualified to know about G-d or what He's going to do. And he already made me a sunbeam, and a dart to go after your kind. To enlighten you on the errors of your false beliefs, and to be a sly penknife behind your ear.

I know that Clarence! but as I have said elsewhere I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN. I am a fellower of a Jew called Jesus. Now just who this Jew was and is can only be known by revelation. Can we build from what we can agree on.

It is my understanding that some 2000 years ago there was a boy born to Jewish parents and they called this boy Jesus or whatever the Jewish equivalent was. He grew up to be a teacher and what he was teaching appeared to contradict the conventional teaching in his culture at that time. As a result he was put to death by crucifixion. Are we agreed about the story so far?

Jesus may well of died for our sins, but he came to 'give us life'. The heart of the gospel is the resurrection not the crucifixion, hence most forward thinking Christians display an empty cross, not one with a crucified Christ.

It is important to differentiate between life and living. Theta and Lambda. Christianity addresses life, Scientology addresses living, for the Spirit is life, the soul is living.

To say that Scientology is all about money is about as silly as saying Christianity is all about crucifixion. The primary goal in Scientology has never been about money its just that for most people money stands between them and what Scientology really wants - that is their soul.

Everyone is looking for their lost self and Scientology says you can find it once you are surrendered to the cofs. So first they remove all your money and then if you are sufficiently hooked you sign your billion year contract, then they have your soul.

Only those who can afford to keep paying are able to keep their souls - John Trovolta - Tom Cruise etc. So they cannot see what it has cost those who are less well heeled.

This is why I say "it is important not to confuse Christianity and Scientology.

Pip,

Your chosen label/religion is your choice entirely and there's no need to constantly explain it.

Why are you on an Ex scio message board though, have you come here to save us?
