To those that asked, there is only one remaining Narconon facility remaining in Southern California. Luke confirmed that when Narconon -Newport Beach was closed in 2010, it's operations folded into the Warner Springs facility.

According to their misleading page, Narconon has a center in Pasadena (which is, in fact, a small private home) and one in Sylmar, which is actually the private home of Sigal Adini (the bitch that sent the memo to fellow Scilons to voice complaints to NBC over the Rock Center airing) and her "husband" Tony Bylsma.

ps: It's been long known that Narconon Newport Beach was to shut down in Feb 2010 after being unable to get a USE permit by the city due to many complaints about the facility and for not providing accurate information on applications about the building they were in, which had actually been converted to 3 unit residential condos years back by the owners and the city.

As I've stated before, the NARCONON JLB RANCH is defunct. It has been for some time. The only San Diego area that is in operation is at Summit Ranch.

The Huntington Beach house is a 4-bedroom home in a residential neighborhood. I'm curious why they set it up that way; obviously, they're not going to greatly profit from using this home.

I apologize. The Huntington Beach one is news to me. You can apparently see the "Fresh Start" locations at drugrehab[dot]com.

Oh, and by the way, for the nice people like Kathy True and others from OSA, I am already informing all my neighbors to keep an eye out. This includes the police officer across the street and the sheriff's deputy who lives up the hill on the way in, and my dog isn't exactly the quietest or friendliest.

Just a little precautionary measure, that's all.

Thank you for speaking out Luke

I would like to think that OSA, the cults office of special affairs, dealing with PR would not find their way to your neighbourhood, however if they did I am sure they would enjoy the company of some local TV station's mobile units who are kept on speed dial. Nothing like getting the cult well known for it's harassment actions.

You an Luke need to get up to speed, lol

JLB Ranch is, as I noted on Facebook a few mins ago in reply to this same comment of yours there, is running licensed detox facility, since 2010.

The best way to know what's in CA is to look at the CA ADP monthly list of licensed facilities in CA, which provides facility legal and dba names., locations, license #s what they are licensed for and how many they are licensed to care for at any one time. This PDF gets updated monthly, so bookmark the link. Use pdf 'find' using facility names or keyword Narconon - note that some in No Cal do not show the go by the Narconon in their program name.

Former Narconon Arrowhead President Speaks About Deaths

Fox 25 News Oklahoma City: Former Narconon Arrowhead President Speaks About Deaths

http://www.okcfox.com/newsroom/top_stories/videos/kokh_vid_6359.shtml

Excerpt:
After three deaths within a nine month period at an Oklahoma drug treatment program, the former President of Narconon Arrowhead is speaking out for the first time about why he says he left the facility and the Chuch of Scientology. Lucas Catton was President of Narconon Arrowhead around two years. He says he worked at the facility for five years after completing the drug treatment program.

Catton says the courses that are taught at the Narconon Arrowhead drug rehab facility are similar to the courses that are taught in the Church of Scientology. Although Catton does not believe the facility should be shut down, he does think it should be forced into compliance. He also believes Narconon Arrowhead should be more open about its ties to the Church of Scientology.

Catton says most patients (who are called "students") arrive at Narconon Arrowhead, not knowing it is affiliated with the Chuch of Scientology.

This is weird. I used to live on Roundhill Drive when I was a kid! It's a totally suburban neighborhood in Huntington Harbour, which is sort of a less classy, less exclusive Newport Beach. Some of the homes are on this man made channel that leads to the ocean, and they have docks and boats. Roundhill Drive doesn't. I wonder how the neighbors like having Scientology/Narconon in their midst.

Thanks! It's been a long, long process to even get to this point. I wrote many different versions of my story, some much more hate-filled, others possibly too forgiving. I finally settled on that explanation. Of course there is all of the other shit, too, but I had to start somewhere and let the real purging begin. It's not unlike a colon cleansing !

Lol. Never thought of it like that before but you make a valid point - it is very much like colon cleansing leaving scientology and sifting through all the crap.

Welcome to ESMB CoolHand.

Reading your blog brought back memories of the heavy thug/reg tactics I lived through.

All the very best and a huge thanks for speaking out. :)

I've been informed the home is owned by Marian Geraldine Upton, age 71. She also has a home in Clearwater. FL. where her son Mark resides.

Her other son, Jason, manages the home. Jason used to be on staff at Narconon - Newport Beach before it was closed in 2010.

Good job speaking up, Lucas! Gary Smith must be pissed off but good.
Looking forward to part II

Quick question ( asked on Tipping Point as well:

Why don't you think it should be shut down, Lucas? It doesn't even meet OK state criteria on it's own. It wouldn't be open if it weren't for CARF certification.... which is being investigated as well.

BTW, Luke, word is spreading fast in Scientology. Someone sent a letter to scientologists about it, along with info on forced abortions, the Hole etc. Someone posted a reply from a scientologist which kind of explains why, for some, it's so hard to leave scientology

Thanks, Mary, and good question. Here is why - if they are fully investigated, held accountable for wrongdoing found by the DA's office and Dept. of Mental Health, pay out the lawsuit damages (tens of millions should come from the IAS to these families, in my opinion, not that it would make up for the loss of their children) and forced into compliance with all of the state regulations, THEN they shouldn't be shut down. It's either that or they call themselves a faith-based program, clearly put it everywhere that they are part of Scientology and not accept insurance, etc. Things have to be change - accountability and transparency.

Thanks, Luke. I appreciate the thorough answer. It's going to be an interesting Autumn.... Tony's latest article interview with Sen. Tom Ivester shows he seems to be getting right on top of it :)

If all this was to occur, I doubt Narconon would be able to survive.

I suspect, in the coming months, that the COS will implement damage control and Gary Smith & other execs at Narconon-Arrowhead will be offered up as sacrificial lambs & COS attorneys will distance the church from all liability at the facility to KSW.
