“Miscavige, being a suppressive psychotic, cannot afford the luxury of self-inspection,” Poore says.
The Scientology leader instead continues to tell his flock that church expansion is growing faster than ever.
But Poore, like others who have left recently, says he doesn’t believe Miscavige’s pronouncements about church growth.
“The only thing that’s straight up and vertical is the number of enemies he creates every single day,” he says. “Then the enemy eventually becomes everybody.”
But Poore adds that Miscavige is quite aware of the direction things are going in.
“Miscavige is living a nightmare. He is scared to his core. He’s really someone to be pitied,” Steve Poor says.

With his drinking, smoking, and psychological problems, he's a bit of a mess. He is not beyond repair though - nobody is. Not whilst life remains.

As it happens I wasn't saying anything pro Hubbard. I was definitely
giving statements that were anti DM. The policies I mentioned are used
in very draconian ways to denigrate parishioners and they are a path to abuse which have been little commented on and are IMO worth airing.

I should hope you weren't.

I'm sorry Terril but you do muddy the water and I wish you wouldn't.

Hubbards policies are virtually all draconian and he always had many ways to denigrate his 'parishioners' ... I understand that you refuse to accept that but nevertheless it's a reality.

Just by having the FreeZone in the area you potentially create interest (later via the Internet) in it ... and that is (I believe) what your true intent at these events is based on and I just wish you would concentrate on your own 'outflow' instead of piggy backing and ... perhaps more critics would attend if the FreeZone weren't there.

Things are already complicated enough without the extra muddying of the water, the public cant be expected to work the intricacies out and neither should they have to.

Oh come on, ITYIWT. The freezone is your excuse now for diminishing attendance at church protests? THAT is ridiculous.

From the protests I've attended here in LA there were more than enough off-putting individuals among the critics to account for downtrends in attendance and other indicators of diminishing popularity with the general public. Several protesters appeared to be specialists at frightening the tourists who stream through Hollywood looking for celebrities. Considering the nature of many of the street people who haunt the area and what passes for 'normal' behavior in Hollywood, that is really saying something. :omg:

I didn't say that or anything like that.

We were talking about East Grinstead though, it's a little bit different to Hollywood.

Highly Commended

Terril Park (aka BB)

Terril Park is highly commended for his ongoing tireless efforts in bringing the Freezone and LRH technology to Anon and the world.

Terril carries out a never ending campaign to enlighten the anon group on the basics of the philosophy and technology and seeks to help them separate the technology out from the official church management and their draconian policies.

Despite being attacked on occasion and even banned from forums, Terril still continues to keep his TRs in and patiently and with compassion, pursue his work in bringing the philosophy and technology to anyone regardless of the consequences.

He has attended anon demonstrations and actively put the Freezone there as an alternative for the church, talking to people and explaining what the freezone and the philosophy and technology are and how they can be used.

Terril is to be highly commended and acknowledged for the outstanding work he has done.

Its just my opinion Mark, and I'll admit I may have a touch of the muddy water blues ...

The day before the main IAS event, some of us went along to St Hill to say hello.

Being the sociable chap that he is, Martin Padfield decided to wander onto the grounds of St Hill (which is open to the public after all) and have a chat with whoever was willing to talk.

The security guard is apparently called Jordan Laveau (son of OSA CO Janet Laveau?) and although he was perfectly pleasant, did seem to be suffering from an acute case of robotitis. Instead of actually listening to what we said, he simply ‘acked’ with ‘OK’ and ‘I heard what you said’, even when it wasn’t appropriate.

I can see a TR re-tread coming up!

But the most amusing thing he let slip, was that in Miscavige’s cult of Scientology, simply talking to someone is a suppressive act!

While we know this is now, and has been the case for quite some while, to have it confirmed so blatantly by one of their own staff is rather surprising. Perhaps they have given up any pretence of being a ‘proper church’ and have adopted a “If you don’t like us, F**k off! We don’t care anymore.” stance?

Martin and Axiom 142, that was a great chat with the security guard - well done you 2! :hifive: Amazing that he didn't see anything wrong with 'communication being a suppressive act'. His complete lack of emotional response to Debbie Cook's testimony of abuse and torture is astonishing - that says it all.

Huh? Isn't communicating with SPs a supressive act? I'm pretty sure that's a KSW Standard L Ron Hubbbard Scientology "High Crime".

People tend to use policy to forward a purpose and because "purpose is senior to policy", any policy can be used for right or wrong. Over on Isene's blog article asking for inconsistencies in Scientology, he wrote:

Here’s a challenge for you: Please name actual inconsistencies in Scientology (ethics, tech or policy) with proper referencing.)
you even quoted this very PL and provide the exact reason why Miscavige could prevent it's application:

LRH said ” Periodic sweep-outs of antiquated and didactic laws [rather than general concepts and subpurposes] MUST be undertaken by a being, organisation, group or race or species.”

HCOPL 13 mar 1965 THE STRUCTURE OF ORGANISATION WHAT IS POLICY?

So its OK to get rid of or change policy. However per data series 48 to
do so one must get the approval of the founder…….

My point is that one must consider why and how others think and do with the PL and Tech when defending a POV. We tend to be cleaved to the mantra that PL 'means what it says and means nothing else' but when one looks further, there are conflicting statements by Hubbard which give opening for different interpretations, different uses.

Hubbard's biggest fear was that people would alter what he wrote but he created an animal in scientology because he created PLs and Bulletins that often contradicted other written works, giving leeway for people like Miscavige and many others to act according to their understanding of them as a whole. As he himself stated, 'there are no absolutes'. And he spent many years trying to stop the natural course of 'alter-is' by creating a fascist ethics system where the winner was Hubbard alone if complied with.

I never argue about the Freezone or the Indies because I see the whole of it as an evolution out of the extreme measures Hubbard took in his effort to keep control of something he designed to fail unless people took what he wrote literally.

You and Sharone having different viewpoints doesn't mean there are no further points to view. No further knowledge to have or understand in how a belief is arrived at. Life is not all black and white. I don't like to see 2 critics not getting along when they both have helped in exposing the cult.

What do normal 17/18 year olds do? When I was that age I was told that I was committing suppressive acts because I wanted to leave the Sea Org. Was that suppressive?

When I asked the kid what the suppressive acts Martin had supposedly committed, he replied, “Well this right now is a suppressive act.” Martin had walked through the front gate of a ‘church’ that claimed to be open to the public and was politely talking to one of their staff members.

The obvious conclusion that we both drew was that simply communicating to another person was now considered to be a suppressive act in the CoS.

It could be argued that Jordan was himself committing a suppressive act by communicating to us (per the reference you mentioned), but that clearly wasn’t what he meant.

The whole thing is just madness - it just makes me really sad, angry first then sad. You know when I left I actually believed I was suppressive for leaving. You did a great job this weekend. Thank you :thankyou:

Now, as has been said previously, it poured down most of the day on Friday. So given that, how much intelligence does it take to work out that any area of grass is going to be very wet and muddy and it wouldn’t be a good idea to drive on it and best to keep to the tarmac?

Well apparently more intelligence than one Scientologist had…

Paraphrase of another post I made on another thread:

"For thirty years, Martin fooled us into believing that he was an
upstat, highly productive, committed Scientologist, whilst secretly
being an upstat, highly productive, committed Scientologist. This, of
course, means that he is psychotic and a squirrel."

Lol.
