Rip off artist alert. See link below.

Published as a public service:

I worked with Rey in his center (I told him to use that name, by the way) in Reno for 4 1/2 months in 2004/5. I left because I considered he was a rip-off artist and his tech sucked. I told him that to his face. I'll be kind and not post it here, but here is the write-up I posted the next day about my experiences with him:

According to the opening video, this guy is now selling all the "Ls," and all the OT levels, but also - for those who have completed the Bridge - "Native state," "Operating Static," "Clear OT," and "Clear Theta Clear." Presumably, he's attained these states himself.

Pretty impressive.

Here's Rey Robles giving a talk to "All Loyal Officers":

Many are stalled. Few are frozen.

John (who is still an indie) and I went several years ago. I thought everyone was nice and there were some New Age type speakers there who weren't into Scn at all.

Cof $ sent people to picket and harass the convention attendees. Rather sparse and pathetic attempt. What bugged me just a tiny bit was Rey Robles' urging to the gathering to not engage the churchies and to let him and his assistants handle it. And ppl looked relieved, I thought. I was like, shit, I can take care of mysrlf.

Just to help with some definitions:

freezone (or Freezone) is a (very) loose association of scios outside the cult

Free Zone (think "free space zone") is Captain Bill Robertson's creation, complete with loony space opera that some people delight in reposting because it's so crazy

freezoneworldwide dot something or other is Rey Robles' personal website. Freezoneworldwide doesn't exist as any kind of organizational entity beyond his own personal practice in Reno and whatever he can con others into giving him. (Unless it's changed lately.)

:)

Paul

P.S. Not many freezoners (let alone non-FZ people) make the distinction in spelling between the first two, although the Free Zone peeps (Ron's Org) tend to.

Don't forget that Captain Bill Robertson is the founder of the largest outside the CofS Scientology group in the world (Ron's Orgs), and much of the looney space opera came directly from Hubbard himself, and a fair amount can be found in the CofS's own materials, and in much of the Freezone (one word).

Since at least 2010, the word FreeZone (one word, with a capital "Z" in the middle) has been used, and their conventions seem to be the place to gather for active Zoners of all kinds.

This is not as bad as it looks. Mark Bunker was just being a friendly investigative journalist. He didn't sign up for the next "Loyal Officers" meeting. :)

Yes, that factoid cited from DullOldFart is telling. Very telling.

I've run into RR around the campus and always felt the need to steer clear of him.

What was edited out of the video of the 2009 FZ Conference organized by Dianaclass8 was RR attempting to establish his authority as a techie historian . . . .

He did a "presentation" on the history of the introduction of and changes to the "Grade Chart." :melodramatic: Copies of which he had arranged on the wall for his presentation.

RR intones authoritatively, as he pointed to the chart of the first of the iterations: "In 1960 when The Bridge was introduced . . ." at which point I interjected and corrected from the audience: "Umm, it was 1965 RR" :duh:

At first he didn't get it and couldn't think with it and began to assert 1960. Others pointed out it was 1965 . . . eventually, says I, "Look at the date on the bottom of the chart as the copyright!":duh:

So much for technical expertise . . .

If this convention is being hosted by whom I think it's being hosted, I wouldn't go anywhere near it.

but...but... Roger... don't you see all those Tech books in his library? Those must give him technical authority and give him expertise. LOL.
