Best news I have had all day. Funny, I am an EX-scientologist, but even I can get a tear in my eye when someone in the cult follows KSW. Hey at least they are being 'real' scientologists! I hafta respect *that* right? :confused2:

I sold my last 2 boxes of Scn materials yesterday. The lady who bought them had an interesting story. I wanted to share it with you.

It turns out that 17 students that were at LA Org (not sure if Day or Fndn) left 3 weeks ago and are NOT going back. It was an entire group that was studying from Taiwan. They are going to study Scn together as Independent Scientologists. This is the same group that was studying at CCInt before 2006. They were getting trained up for the Kaohsiung Mission.

The two main opinion leaders of the group, one of them OTV, did some research online. Some websites that helped them see what was really going on was Marty's blog, FriendsOfLRH.org, SP Times Truth Rundown, and videos by Helmut. They were tired of all the out tech by staff members, ineffective and wrong ethics actions, mandatory attendance at events, constant reging, staff members yelling at each other, The Golden Age of Altered Tech, and the constant suppression they felt in the environment. They were not "winning" on course and in life, according to her. They had written up KR's that had gone nowhere. They could see that it wasn't going to change.

The two leaders of the group wanted to create a peaceful environment where they could be left alone and just study and practice Scn in a more user-friendly way. They wrote a letter to the other 15 as to what they discovered and where they were going. They let them make up their own minds about it. Sure enough, they all left together!

The way I read that story is that there was a leader who wasn't afraid to speak out risking humiliation and ostracism, the CofS just cannot cope with individual acts of courage, drives them nuts.

If that person is who I think it is all of Taiwan will hear about it and that will be the end of Scientology's growth in Asia.

I just hope they got real busy getting the word out before OSA makes up some story that the went mad after being out ethics and going to a psych who ran a strip club or something.

That only leaves Sth. Africa as a Scientology growth spot. But if they ever move an Advanced Org down there those Sea Ogres will fuck up any good will that they have on that continent.

I've seen a couple of mentions that Kaylani Castle in Jo'burg is being prepared as the AO there. I'm sure we will hear about it when they are ready to deliver, although once they clear any local backlog they'll be empty unless they can attract overseas public through seriously undercutting the competition.

What I haven't heard is that they will be providing all SH services too, although they will have to do Power and OT Preps at least.

Glad this thread is still up. I'm glad that 17 students left - PERIOD (or FULL STOP) depending on your continent.

That is a big number of blows for the HCO, Acad and BITS (Bodies in the Shop) and all the attending stats. Big hit for stat pushers everywhere on the Cont.

Thanks for thinking of us FFL and all the humor guys - HH I liked the Promo bit the best.

But, it really is a great first step for those guys. The rest is bound to come sooner or later. For DM and his peeps it a great harbinger of their doom. And another feather in the cap of all Ex's

It's very cool! I don't think that some of the guys in the Northern Hemi realise how much the CofS in the Southern Hemi has been relying in Taiwan to literally keep its doors open this last year or so.

I wouldn't worry about OSA in this instance. OSA won't or can't have anywhere near the influence on the Taiwanese, that they've had on the Ozzies. The Taiwanese and Japanese Scientologists I knew had a code that prevented them from putting any Ozzie Exec (or their info) on any pedestal, let alone on one that was higher than the one they had for their *own*.

This is indeed good news. Despite everything else going on in ANZO, this financial support and the *personnel* from the Taiwanese and Japanese Scn communities, which seemed oblivious to what was going on, has been the *only* thing keeping Scn operating (literally), and it's been a thorn in our side. It was always just a matter of time, but this will undoubtedly cut the time factor big time.
