hello,

22 year ago freddie Mercury passed away.
he was a great artist , one of the most talented and had a beautifull voice.

I miss him - as many of you!

They just talk about him on the radio and played a song I didn't know about.
Please listen to it - sad but beautifull.

There is some people we don't forget, we keep them alive within us - we don't forget Freddie!

This is a great song. :dance:

Written by Brian May (lead guitarist Queen) for his dear friend Freddie. :thumbsup:

Written, recorded & released after Freddie died. :rose:

Didn't get the radio airplay it deserved here in Oz. :sad: :kangaroo:

I'm a big fan of Queen & loved Freddie. :flowers2:

Their music was totally awesome :dance:

Freddie was a one of a kind powerhouse. He also knew how to breathe, making him able to perform with the queen of opera, Montserrat Caballé. Who else has had a 25 minute standing ovation? I loved Freddie for specifically asking for a friend of mine, to perform in the music video Body Language. He played ... um, a torso and arm I think. I miss my friend Tony, too. He also died of AIDS.

What a cool friend to have, Anonycat, and what a great life he led! Quality is better than quantity, although it's ideal to have both. Thank you for sharing those memories with us.

My friend, Debbie, loved Queen. I always think of her when I hear Freddie sing - listening in the lounge room of her modest government house in the 1970s. But her dad worked for the Australian Broadcasting Commission as some kind of technician and he had an incredible audio system for the time, so she would put on some music nice and loud and we'd hang out. She taught me to dance in there, and sometimes we'd get to have a sleepover. It was always fun.

I still remember going out and buying the "A Night at the Opera" record and listening to it with my flatmates.

It was a big sound at the time and a very new style to hit the big time.

Yeah, it was. There had been rock operas before (like the Who's "Tommy"), but Queen brought operatic pomp to rock and roll.

Everyone knows "Bohemian Rhapsody", so I'll link to this track instead;
