A Conversation with an OT

Just in the FWIW category, it just struck me that probably one of the main reason that I just quit going was so I could enjoy the cocktail hour! Every day if I so choose and with absolutely no considerations!

Living well is the best and only revenge!

^^^^^^^

Every major fucking religion - take something that people take pleasure in, that makes life just a little more bearable, and make a sin out of it.

I have a friend who grew up in an Orthodox family who likes to eat a ham and cheese sandwich on Passover. Good on him.

I've resolved only to ever feel guilty for the things I've actually done to harm another. Intentionally or unintentionally, that is the only sin.

You nailed it!

It empowers the cult to control their parishionners

Also, I believe, many human beings are immature and looking to be controlled, and told what to believe. It takes less effort to be told tales and lies than walk our own path alone, with courage, moments of fear, insecurity, but discovering our own basic truths about oneself, others and life.

To be a slave can bring a felling to be secured and taken care
To live free takes a true faith in life and oneself. It's an act of ''giving up'' on the ''mind'' path an open our heart.
IMHO :wink2:

I think this thread is a great opportunity to ask and answer those questions, Lotus. There are many people here who have done scientology's OT Levels, even if they no longer think of themselves in those terms. They're good people who will answer honestly any question asked of them. Let's converse!

OK, here's one topic I have not seen addressed. How do OTs of different levels relate to each other? Are OT I and II looked down on as not real OT levels by those above III? I've seen examples of spouses who were VII and VIII how does that work? Is there a real rank hierarchy there, or not, and if so, does it change the dynamics in the relationship? Are OTs so conditioned not to talk to anyone about their case that it never comes up in families?

I think one of the most important things to know is that subject I touched upon in the other thread; Self-Certainty.

Not all "OTs" have it, of course, some doubt themselves but when dealing with most of these guys you should understand that they are of the firm belief that they already know ALL the answers. Hubbard went to considerable length in discussing the subject of self-certainty, he spoke of it as the most valuable thing a Being could possess.

Much of the behavior which seems inexplicable (or hard to grasp) stems from this simple fact; regardless of the rightness or wrongness of a thing, the OT has adopted a viewpoint of certainty about it as regards himself.

Self-certainty! He has it and, if you're not also OT like him, you don't.

It's just one of the more important reasons why it's so hard to overcome an OT's unwavering resistance to new (non-Hubbardian) ideas.

I don't think I need to expound on this too much, when it comes to dealings with OTs, it's quite an obvious thing.

I'm completely certain of the above! :hysterical:

Yes it is smugly reassuring and mutually validating to only associate with those oh-so-fortunate few who have also reached and attained Ron's infinitely high level of extreme awareness that there ARE, indeed, mice on the floor.

It's true that anyone of a higher level tends to think of those "below them" as not yet privy to information that will "rock their world". I don't ever recall looking down on people of a lesser Case Level but I sometimes had those thoughts about "if you think that's weird/odd/exciting, wait 'til you hit OTVII/VIII" etc. LOL

There are actually people here who have more experience with the OT and non-OT interaction in marriage scenario. It was never a problem for me, my wife is smart as a whip and was OT IV and probably a better Auditor than me. I never once had one of those "it's just your Case" moments with her (though she may remember it differently).

OTs are, of course, forbidden from discussing their case or any discussion of or hint/allusion to any Upper Level materials.

Same here!

Despite my higher level ( Class X of the plaetry magic masters) I consider my husband as the same level than me.
I never use my magical power to have him feel he is lower than I am.

The last time we hold a meeting with Harry, Ron and Hermione, we had fun telling stories about ordinary people living
an ordinary life .

I don't hold my certicates and degree of ''great master'' on walls anymore as people always demands me to solve their problems. I could , but I prefer they experience the effect of the cause.

But truly, sometimes it's difficult to be at such high level, people aberrations are such unreal to me :duh:
I aways have to make efforts to keep mysellf at their level!:confused2:

I Just cognite I am a great being!

despite all their unhandled BT's I must tolerate
I still spend time with people and help them in raising their awareness and Kwowigness to free them.
I never tell them about their wins I postulated.

Boy, it's a job!
