My son is 25 and suffers from Aspergers syndrome. He is in the psych wards at the moment whilst they handle his other issues and try to get him back on track. In short, they all care.

Progress so far:

:omg:No shock treatment :omg:

:omg: No debilitating psych drugs :omg:

:omg: No lobotomy scheduled :omg:

:omg: He is not going to die in there with the industry of death in charge.:omg:

:thumbsup:They talk to him. He is on drugs, but only the ones that help ease the stress until he can cope himself. He was about to do himself in very soon. He was put in because he was cutting himself.

I am grateful for the psychiatric intervention. I have also found everyone involved is keen to stabilise him and get him back into a position where he can cope by himself and move ahead.

I have found no evidence of Tom Cruise's hate spew about "the industry of death". Obviously he has been reading LRH's "parrot sheets".

Does anyone who was involved with Scientology ever found a line that really cared and helped as well? Meaning that in a practical sense.

Incidentally, all this help and treatment is free of charge under Australia's public health system. That part would read as the ultimate horror story to the Co$.

Last year, he mentioned he was interested in looking at Scientology. When my family told me that I went - ":omg::nervous::angry::melodramatic::duh:", etc.

When I finally got to him a couple of weeks later, I asked him about it and he told me they were a pack of crazy wankers and wouldn't go near them. He hadn't even heard of OCMB or ESMB yet. I was proud that he had figured it out on his own.

There you go Davey boy, even the crazy ones think you're a pack of fuckheads as well! My boy ain't all that crazy after all! Love him to bits.

Fixer, here's to your boy having a quick recovery.

Isnt it amazing, There are freedoms to choose in mental treatment, that's why CoS has to attack on about the drugs (with the sinister modifier Psych)

Hubbard contradicts himself sayin drugs are ok if needed, and then drugs are not ok once taken.(to get into scio.) I cant think of one exception where scio doesn't have a contradicting exception.

Free of charge.. i can see CoS slander on that, its not worth stating.

Hope he is getting all the love & help he needs.

You have stated well a case for sanity and common sense. My best wishes for your son.

I'm glad to hear that your son is getting some good help and support. Scientology paints a picture of psychiatry based upon the worst of it as it was 60 or 70 years ago. This is because Hubbard was afraid of psychiatry because of own paranoia and mental illness. I wish you and your son a happy and long life.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. I am confident my son will come out on top soon. He is already showing signs of improvement.

The main thing that helped was that he recognised he was getting into a deep hole and sought the help himself initially. Goes a long way towards a positive result.

Thank god the Co$ didn't get a hold of him.

I believe you are quite correct Smilla about the whole deal of psychiatry 60 - 70 years ago. The profession has come a long way since then. I guess it is still a long way from being perfect, but even they will admit it to us. It is a process of continuous improvement with ongoing researches.

The so called alternative - Co$ is still stuck in the past and won't admit to anything. In many ways it has regressed, not advanced. They seem to behave like the medieval churches. Even that lot have moved on as well.

Fixer,

My Daughter is Certified Master Teacher for the deaf, blind and special needs children. Some of the children she teaches by sign language are not only deaf or blind but also have Asperger's syndrome.

I have sat in on her classes from time to time and watched her teach and, through her, had lunch with and chat with the kids. It is a remarkable and Heart stirring and amazing thing to see. Not only is there tremendous real Tech and Science to teach these children, but, there are also Angels like my Daughter that love, care about and devote their lives to helping these children have a better life. I also thought to myself during those hours that this is a World of People that Scn knows nothing about, doesn’t want to know anything about and pretends to care about.

There is a World of Highly Competent, Dedicated and very skilled Professional’s and Loving Families daily “walking the walk” to help folks that Scn, in effect, spits on. Quite honestly, I found in my conversations with and observing these children that they were fascinating, funny, sincere and giving their best to learn and live…they were Alive and Life emanated from them same as thee and me.

My Very Best Wishes to You and Your Son,

Face :)

Damn right!

And that statement applies to many areas where Hubbard said or implied, or where His marketing people--as officially approved by AVU--said or implied, that Scientology--then by association, LRH--knows best. And the best way to dead agent any idea that LRH was being a "know-best" was for His Own Self to write a Policy deriding those in His organization that could be called Know-Besters.

Anyway...

I know that you are very proud of the daughters. As well you deserve to be.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Egg-zackly, Face. I've found the same thing and was startled, when I first got out, at how many total strangers were so kind and helpful to me. It almost seems as though Scn represses those human urges to help.

Fixer, great story about your kid, and all best wishes to you both.

The best thing anyone can do for their spiritual and mental well being is to
turn their back on Scientology.

From there on everything is progress.

There was never a strait jacket big enough to fit Hubbard and all of his delusions in.

Your son has his back turned to Scio. Expect a bright future.
The worst thing that could have happened, didn`t.

Thanks you for your post Fixer and I'm so happy your son is improving. I also want to thank you because your post made me realise something.

Yesterday I was visiting with Jenni With an Eye and we were taking about Scn scars, those bits of so called tech that are still sitting under the skin. One of them was wondering what you had done wrong to pull something in when things aren't going right.

When I started reading your post I felt myself gasping in horror internally that your son was in "psych" hands but as I kept reading and you explained that everything was OK and nothing evil was happening I realised that this is one of my scars. Sometimes spotting these things is hard as they are so deep inside you you don't realise they're there.

So, :bighug: to you and your son Fixer.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

After receiving my findings and recommendations declaring me to be an SP, I took a walk on the beach. Looking around at all the people, not a single one of them gave a shit that the CoS thought so poorly of me.

In an instant, I had a change of perception and began to wake up!

Hey The_Fixer, Best wishes for you and your son.

My experience with mental health care professionals has also been quite positive. They have stressed being an active part in your health care decisions, taking responsibility for your actions, and working toward a positive outcome.

Taking responsibility for one's actions is part of self determination and positive motivation. Scn twisted this very basic concept into "taking blame" for a present condition (or pulling it in) so that they could use this "fault" as a control mechanism and manipulate people.

Thank you all for your good thoughts and I am glad to have helped others as well

Nice story from you too, face. It just goes to show that there are some special people in this world who are doing special things.

The church has really hammered the "evils of psychiatry" crap in to all of us. Sure, not everything goes right, and not everyone is good, but there are more good people in it really. Some treatments may be questionable. With the constant research going on, these are routinely reviewed and changed as required.

I have yet to hear of Scientology performing credible research to review their tech and see if needs to be updated. I guess the only research going on is how to get more money?

If you had a problem, would you rather go to a sea org practitioner, or enjoy a cuppa and a chat with a counseller? Knowing what I know now, it's a no brainer.

My son is like many patients in the industry. For many there is no cure for them, only learning management strategies and getting support.

Cool. Though I doubt he'd learn much from OCMB...
