Amazing facebook request

Fluffy,

Have you tried asking them why they apparently find that photo so offensive and want it removed?

Perhaps they have a perfectly good reason, like, like, I dunno – they’re allergic to shellfish or something?

If you got them to discuss why they wanted it removed and why they were trying a crude form of emotional blackmail to do so, perhaps they might see how silly they were being?

Anyway, I don’t see this as being a big deal. If someone want to act like a w**ker, it’s not really your problem and you shouldn’t let them upset you.

Why compromise your integrity and ask? This seems like another example of some childish moron asserting their control over another.

Asking a question isn’t compromising anything. I didn’t suggest that Fluffy capitulate (like that was ever going to happen :p ). Personally, when someone says something that doesn’t make sense, I want to find out why – perhaps I may have misunderstood. So, by getting them to explain what they have said and why, I attempt to gain an understanding.

Of course, it may well be that they are just plain nutty, in which case having given them a chance to appear rational and failing, I can rest easy. :tobed:

I still say it's a guy; not an 'it' :)

No woman would say 'So here's the deal, take of that pic and I'll accept the request.'

A woman would say 'Don't you think you should take that picture down? Hmm?'

Yah, you guys know I'm being snarky. I probably argue with ppl too much. And I've behaved myself for sooo long- the strain was killing me! So I opted to be kind of snarky about it...

I'm not traumatized or upset. Just pissed off and- as I said-snarky.

Heh heh. I just changed my facebook pic. To THAT one. Yes. So if this person writes back anytime soon (the message said to be patient, sometimes it takes this person a while to answer back, etc) the first thing that will show in my return message will be my new avatar.

I can't take credit for this lovely idea. It was suggested to me both here and in FB by my lovely darling wonderful friends.

Heh heh.

Also- I misspoke- you can see the young lady's legs. But her crotch is tastefully covered (pun intended) with an oyster shell. (closest we could find to a clam shell.)

I've updated my front page describing this bizarre request.

If anyone wants to see the essay and/or the offending pic, click www.claireswazey.com

Is that you in that pic?

It looks very aesthetic to me.

Usually, when I get out of the blue messages and emails that aren't spam, I get some pretty nice ones. This one? Well, it's amusing, anyway.

Yesterday I got a very weird e-mail, the person in question seemed to think I was a man and wanted to know how many women I dated on line. The last thing on earth I would do is date anyone on line. I couldn't help but wonder if it was some sort of prank from a friend. Whatver it was , it did make me laugh as it was so rediculously silly.

Seriously though, I've been spammed in Greek for a month now, I wouldn't mind but I can't read Greek and those viagra sales are almost a temptation even though I have no need of it. The price is too good to be true, it's a bargain. Does anyone need some, I can get it really cheap. Every offer the prices are slashed.

Hahaha. That's the old Fluffy. I suppose I always loved the snarky Fluffy. But don't want to interfere with your evolution to the kinder gentler Voltaire's Child. I love all of your Fluffications. Good job for standing up for your own freedom of expression.

I get the occasional crap email adverts from time-to-time. I delete them without reading them.

I get the occasional crap Facebook friend invite from someone I don't know from time-to-time. I delete them without reading them.

Your "oyster shell over the vagina" pic is not offensive to me. I thought that it was a little weird but not offensive. But that is just me.

I thought that it was VERY ODD that someone said that you should take it down in order to accept communication from them from a completely different communication medium.

It's YOUR page and just do what you want with it.

Hey Fluffy, hope it's ok to call you that since I don't really know you well. I saw your post on FB regarding this, I have a FB friend who is a friend of yours and he commented on it so it came up on my home page. Anyway, I say good on ya and I sent you a friend request just so I could then hit the "like" button :)
