An email from Debbie Cook to active Scientologists

Can't wait to Marty and Mike's take on this. Because she's obviously stating she wants nothing to do with them as she declares that she is "not connected to anyone not in good standing".

Earth to Debbie:

You are now the number one person in Scientology who is "not in good standing". :eyeroll:

As an aside, why is it that all these LRH Loyalists wind up living in Texas?

Is Texas going to become the Utah of Independents? :eyeroll:

It has been for years. There is a CBR camp there and Alan Walter was based there and still has a presence. That state is just full of exes and squirrels. I consider it a sort of fitting tribute to Lisa McPhearson. She was from Dallas.

I know this is rude and crude but all I could think of when I read your post, was this line that I saw in a bathroom stall.

Sitting on the toilet, buns a flexin'
Giving birth to another Texan.

I read this and once I got over my total distaste for yet one more hectoring and lecturing scientologist with their head up their ass I just had to laugh.

Got a question - where does the information come that this was sent to an FSO mailing list? Kind of a massive assumption without any actual data...

But what made me laugh was reading Debbie's email - she makes much of her 29 years in the SO "17 as Captain FSO" yet somehow glosses over the simple fact that she ran one of the biggest crush regging operations in Scientology - and profited well from doing so.

Only after being out for four years does she now realize that it is "off policy"?

I know that there will be those who (legitimately) will say it is better late than never and that by speaking out now she is putting the pressure on Miscavige.

But let me point something big and nasty about all this - Cook was a big part of the whole thing who happily enforced it all, who made money for and with it and nowhere in her email is there any sign that she has even come close to realizing it. For anyone who thinks that this is a positive - if Miscavige were gone tomorrow she and people like rathbun will happily support the next dictator coming down the pike. With the same enthusiasm they supported Miscavige with.

I don't know. If you were to compile a list of active Scientologists where Flag actually had their email addresses, it wouldn't surprise me that it was no more than 12,000.

Regardless, there's no way DM will think anything else but that it was a security breach. Heads will roll.

I think you are right on the money about the number Lulu - I doubt that they could muster more than that sort of number.

Couple of things to consider - if she sent it to a proprietary mailing list belonging to the FSO then she has just left herself wide open to one hell of a law suit.

So where does the figure of 12,000 come from?

Marty's wasted no time commenting on it.

Reformation – Division Within Corporate Scientology
Posted on January 1, 2012 by martyrathbun09 | Leave a comment

Wonder if the times are really changing? On the first day of 2012 a very prominent self-professed corporate Scientologist in good standing has overtly announced a clear division within the ranks.

Former Captain Flag Service Organization Debbie Cook, who avows to abide by the disconnect policy as administered and adjudicated by David Miscavige, has announced to fellow corporate Scientologists that as far as certain policy violations go, enough is enough.

In a skilled use of the Public Relations series, Debbie characterizes abuses in a euphemistic manner so that corporate Scientologists might read and think about the gaping holes in the side of the corporate Scientology ship. Note the Monique-Yiglingesque disavowal of the outside world having any role in correcting the beast; for many this letter will be somewhat safe to read. For the unvarnished truth of what Debbie Cook experienced, please see:

The Final Purges Part I

The Final Purges Part II

The Final Purges Part III

This latest development will have no radical, immediate results. However, many corporate minds that have been well-steeled against truth will be penetrated and begin to ponder what is really going on. The letter represents the current well-withheld thoughts of a number of other prominent corporate Scientologists. Look for some of them to make some noise in early 2012.

This year has begun with a most interesting, if predictable, development.

Prepare to deliver.

That was my assumption. She was the CO FSO and would have definitely had access to FSO's data base when she was on that post.

I didn't think when I first read it of any other places she could have gotten a list like that. Possibly a Scientology business where their customers are Scientologists? 12,000 is a big list of active Scientologists. It's possible she herself compiled it as others suggested. I'd have to say that's a pretty massive job if that is the case.

Regardless, I can guarantee that DM will assume the list was gotten from COS.

Earth to Debbie:

Ain't THAT the truth!

I remember when I was dumb and naive and wrote various reports up lines about major flaws in the application of Scientology, feeling and knowing that those Scientology mangement poeple who care so much about Scientology would take my reports and act on them in the manner in which I wrote them. Of course the bubble burst, and the ONLY thing they acted on and tried to handle was me! :duh:

Ironically, Debbie Cook was one of the people who received some of my reports before I was declared an SP (for writing the reports and "spreading discontent")! Karma can be a bitch Mrs. Baumgarten. I suspect that Debbie will soon find herself on the receivng end of inane Scientology/Hubbard "justice".

If Debbie is actually THAT dumb (naive), and thinks that she can write something like that directly to the active Scientology public, and NOT get into deep shit FAST, she will be soon waking up very hard to some very HARD realities. But that is often a first step on the long road OUT - imagining that it is possible to "correct the mess within the system". As any of the many who have tried before her well know, it NEVER ends well. Here comes the Non-Enturbulation Order - because in the eyes of the Church Debbie just enturbulated a great MANY Scientologists! :omg:

Per the list of High Crimes, she is also guilty of at least a few Suppressive Acts, by publicly disparaging and spreading "rumors" about the top leaders of Scientology. If this is what it appears to be and the Church behaves as it ALWAYS has in the past, the Committee of Evidence should come VERY FAST if and when she doesn't immediately shut up and report to Flag when ordered to (which should happen today). The Church of Scientology probably won't dawdle long about THIS example of "mutiny in the field".

And, if this is genuine, what a shitstorm it will start.

Of course, being an untrusting sort of fellow who has seen far too much Scientology/Hubbard shenanigans over too many years, I wonder what else this might be? :confused2:

Mmmm? Debbie is working directly with DM? That would explain how she could get the ENTIRE current Flag mailing list (if in fact she has it at all). She is made to "appear to send out" that e-mail, and ANYBODY who answers back with any sort of agreement with what she said is immediately reported to management, ordered to Flag, and REGGED for lots and lots more? :happydance:

That is probably unlikely, but this IS Scientology - the "religion" where very often, nothing is as it appears to be.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I HOPE it it exactly what it appears to be!

And, I hope that Debbie fights back when the attempted "handlings begin".

Let the SP Declares and disconnection orders begin!

Holy shit.

I'm just playing a game of pretending I don't know anything about it yet, and then letting myself know it again. It's like a continuous orgasm.

Dear Friends, Yes, the email was written by me. No I am not connected to anyone not in good standing. I did it because of my love and respect for LRH and the desire to see us correct situations that need correcting within our group.

In the eyes of DM she just committed the very highest of High Crimes, interfering with the money flows. :duh:

I am sure that DC considered all the possible responses from CoS to this letter and considered how she would handle the repercussions. I doubt that this is the last we will hear from her. :coolwink::biggrin:

What's that sound??

Nice!

I see many good people here enjoying this event immensely! :happydance::happydance:

The last time I saw a communication of this nature and importance from a "leading light" was from Mark Jones in around 1983-4.

The outcome, of course, was that Mark was declared SP . . . but the good news was that his missive (he also then founded The Free Spirit newsletter/magazine that held the ex-$cn field together) caused many, many "innies" to see in bright light the corruption and out tech enterprise that the "org" had become, and thousands became "outies."

Debbie's email is actually beautifully crafted, as was Mark's. I say that in the context and because it was written to address and appeal to "innies" without causing rejection by them as would have been the case had she made any of the utterances that Mick W says she should have.

It is obvious to me that, yes, it took 4 years for her to get it done . . . well, it can take that amount of time to get one's well considered thoughts together . . . not to mention the time needed to recover from having been subject to the duress and abuse she escaped from.

In my view this also is wonderful timing for such a missive when one considers all of the other actions going on that both discredit and reduce the cults credibility and position in society.

The well written and documented content of the email along with its timing will prove to be another stake in the heart of the evil cult monster.

A very yum, yum event indeed.

And, who cares where she got 12,000 names from or whether or not it really was 12,000 . . . . the thing has gone viral!

Not only will it get to every $cilon with email, but it will be discussed and/or referred to among friends/contacts in hard copy form.

This really will now cause huge disruption within the CofS and give ammunition to those beyond it.

I can think of a short guy who has smoke blowing out his ears even as we speak, for one....

This kind of shit is a big deal in the church. When that email was sent that caused that massive INCOMM flap the content of the email was pro-Scientology, for chrissakes. Didn't matter. It was the fact that someone inside did it that was the issue, and that someone internal compromised security.

My source tells me that 12000 is a conservative estimate.

The list of email addresses is not from the FLB data base.

That is so very true. To us here on ESMB she is a card-carrying looney holding high the torch for Hubbard, but to those still in, who still suffer from the delusion that Hubbard & Scientology ARE ALL, she represents the first chipping away at that delusion.

Card-carrying Scios do not and cannot come to ESMB. Their own fixed ideas about a great many things cut them off from being able to understand much of anything here. But, on their "reality" Debbie is hitting very hard against the "sacred cow" of Scientology management. She is hitting very hard on their "R".

In organized Scientology, there has NEVER been a tolerance for questioning or criticizing ANY aspect of management, Scientology leaders or Church behavior. The discussions and questioning this might cause among the still-deluded could be momumental. And maybe not, since it has always amazed me how THICK-HEADED the true believing Scientologist can remain, even despite directly viewing MAJOR facts, data and information that blow holes in the scam. :confused2:

Tick tock tick tock . . . . .

Debbie has unequivocally crossed the line here, and with Debbie's own personal experience with DM and Scientology "procedures", I can't imagine that she isn't fully aware of the severe repercussions this will cause for her.

Yes, I was was speaking colloquially  As in the rhetorical question :)

We do know the midget will blow his top . . . and care very much where she got "the list" . . . . but do we here on ESMB care?

I'd say we are delighted she had such a list available, and more so that she USED it :happydance:
