An encounter with a CoS Private Investigator?

Her post only says that it happened and his name, as far as I can tell. Did she post more details somewhere else? Thanks for letting me know and having checked into it!

It's not Joe Medina's firm. It's Art's firm? At least so Art said, THAT he owned a company and he lists Awareness Protective Services as the company on LinkedIn under his picture. Joe Medina is listed as 'president', not owner.

But, I found no evidence that Randolph has anything to do with the COS. Joe Medina did, in fact, found the company.

The info was posted publicly. I provided the link. Karen was maybe not aware you wanted the info to remain private?? It's quite possible that Art might have some ties to the cult. I just haven't found any. He is a retired cop and most PIs on retainer with the cult are former cops.

I don't mind Karen posted it although I never said to. It makes sense she did. No harm done. I would have written my own post sooner if I had known, just to fill in the blanks. Thank you Smurf.

he explained to me how he interviewed his accountant first, to verify if the accountant was 'ethical.' Such that, as we got closer to landing he became more and more obsessed with explaining these 'success' technologies and began to tell me about a writer on wealth, Napoleon Hill. The last time I heard that name Napoleon Hill mentioned was by Scientologists in the 80s. Since I had read those books (although I find them poorly written, mostly just pep talks), I said so and boy did he get excited. One of the truths he laid on me was the one of finding out what your true goal is, and also, of finding out what is 'stopping it'! He was searching for my ruin? He was trying apparently, in this ethics handling (I assumed it was one) to get me to find my goal. He told me his, financial wealth, and now he wanted to know mine. I told him it was to do my artwork.

He had mentioned a few facts during the flight, and these I was able to use to check on who he might be. Maybe he was not supposed to tell him his real name and job. I think that the reason he did is that I seemed to be so open and interested about the cop use of NLP. One detail he revealed was that he was interested in Landmark (some sort of possible Scn spin off he used as a decoy explanation for his interest in self-help technologies?)

interested in. Its also way more successfull and popular than Scn and something you
would find more people interested in. [ie its squrrel.]

This experience may have more to do with the nationwide manhunt for Saul Goodman, the attorney who aided and abetted meth drug kingpins in New Mexico and the southwest. He disappeared several years ago.

Did you or your son ever have any contact whatsoever with Mr. Goodman? Even if it was innocent it may have alerted PIs to check you out. They are monitoring airline traffic into Albuquerque.

The John Malkovich looking guy is an old partner of DEA Agent Hank Schrader. Once he clears you he'll make the doofus PIs back off.

You don't have to assume anything. You could just file the whole issue away in your "mental drawer" labeled "weird and strange experiences" and let it rest there for as long as you want. Who knows? Maybe, one day, some additional snippet(s) of information find their way to you and suddenly it all makes sense.

That's how I deal with not yet sanely explicable and unclassifiable experiences.

I checked a bit after Smurf did and I agree with him. This is a straight up licensed company and he's a professional -- and neither have any visible known ties to Scientology and scientologists.

This story had all the right Red Flags. I can't shake it yet.

1) A one-man business of PI (and many related tactical things) happens to sit next to you. Okay, if it were just that, not impossible, just interesting.

2) His LinkedIn page says that he is the only employee of his company. Many scientologists have exactly that.

3) Landmark.

4) Looking at your phone pin. That's not just socially unacceptable and creepy, but from a PI and ex-cop/tactical specialist? Bad. Glad you changed your PIN and didn't leave your phone unattended.

5) Okay, what are the odds that the guy at the baggage claim would race for over an hour to the EXACT restaurant that you were going to.

Possible answer: One in a billion?

6) Would it have been possible for him to have hacked into your phone before you changed the PIN?

I don't want to make you paranoid, but I got the same WTF feeling you did. PM me if you'd like to discuss it further in private. After all, most of us know that restaurant thing from OSA. The last friend who told me about their OSA experience, was at a restaurant. But this person spoke to them quickly, and reappeared later, just so they'd "know". Ultimately, it didn't mean anything, it was just to creep them out, make them paranoid (what's next?) and to ultimately shut them up.
