Anonymous asks Exes - Can Scientology be Reformed? if yes, how?

"People seem to have a hard time separating out the administration of Scientology from the philosophy and the auditing technologies. They're three separate things."

This is a very strange statement. It's like saying: "the structure of a society/organization/institution is completely separate from what this society/organization/institution indoctrinates people to believe." Surely you can see how delusional that is? No society, organization or institution indoctrinates people into beliefs which are counter to the way they are structured!

An authoritarian, ultra-hierarchical, dogmatic organization like Scientology cannot indoctrinate people into critical thinking, egalitarianism or independence. Not only will it not, but it can not.

To say that the teachings are is completely separate from the structure of Scientology can only make sense if you take any single teaching in a vacuum. But no statement, concept or principle exists in a vacuum.

Not to mention the excellent point, already raised, that administrative "tech" is part of the "tech," and as such even Hubbard's doctrines disagree with you. Administration is very much integrated within the "tech" itself.
