We have a new ‘Independent’ on Marty Rathbun’s blog: http://markrathbun.wordpress.com/

This clears up a mystery for me, as Pfauth was the only name on Hubbard’s final will that I didn’t recognise. Sounds as though he has some interesting stories – I hope he spills the beans.

“DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

My name is Steve Pfauth. I’m known by many other names: Sarge, Rodney, Richard, Alan and Joe, and others. There were times when I wasn’t sure who I was. I did a lot of security/comm stuff for LRH. I am from Michigan. I was as you a seeker of truth and freedom. I went from Michigan to FCDC, where my life as a Scientologist began. I left FCDC for the SO in Nov. 75. I went to Clearwater and was a security guard for LRH at Duneden. When LRH went to California I followed and went to “W’ (winter head quarters). When that went south I went to ‘S’ (summer headquarters) Int. I then went to ‘X’ when Mike and Kima Douglas blew. LRH didn’t just like me, he trusted me. After ‘X’ closed I came back to ‘S’. It was difficult because I had to stay in comm with Pat Broeker for comm relay between Int and LRH. I suggested I leave and go anywhere that I could operate without any hassles. I then became a ‘Rover’.

I was controlled by LRH via Pat. I just had fun! Being directly on LRH’s lines was very hard but I always had fun. After lots of adventures Pat took me to the ranch at Creston. I got there in May of ‘83′ to help set things up. I was those “other Scientologists” that Vaughn Young talked about. That was a way to protect me. I was at Creston when LRH dropped the bod. I signed the death cert and the last will. If you don’t believe it look it up on the web. I blew the RPF in Jan of 89. I blow good! Still blown after all these years.

My only problem was leaving my friends behind. I have never met so many wonderful people as the dedicated Scientologists I had the privilege to know. Well, here I am comming to old and new. I would like to support my friends in a mission of truth and freedom. I am not a crusader. I do have to support truth and freedom. Hell, Thats why I joined the church in the first place. I do not like all the LRH bashing. LRH was not perfect. Forget all the PR. The Tech was real and the Tech works. LRH was a genius. How did LRH audit every day without an auditor or CS? Could you do that? Please understand we need to save the Tech. Please discard all the black PR. I got so much case gain, there is no way I can bash source.

Marty and I go way back together. He is going to allow me to post stories on his site. I consider it a privilege. I am going to try to keep my ego out of it and just tell the truth, as difficult as it may be. I need to tell the truth about the last days. I am no longer connected in any way with the current Church of Scientology but I cannot abandon all of LRH’s efforts to help people and clear this planet. Till his death he lived Scientology.

Love, Sarge”

Good ole Sarge!
So he signed as a witness on a last will and testament that was drawn up and finalized 24 hours before a man dies that had a psych drug injected in him (with other needle marks indicating some days of this treatment) and had had a stroke eight days prior to the day of death wherein the deceased alters a long term pattern of taking care of his property/affairs?

Sure seems like a reliable source to me...:coolwink:

And no, I highly doubt he'll be visiting this forum.

These sort of people are just WAY too over the top for me.

This guy says in his declaration that he is going to keep his ego out of it, but his little speech/rant is filled with "ego". And, what is his point?

This sort of person has no clue that you can find wonderful people ANYWHERE you go! Doesn't he know that???

People so often confuse friendliness with legitimacy. So. the people were nice and friendly? Good. MANY people are nice and friendly. SO WHAT? It doesn't matter that they were friendly as far as the part where the Scn organization is bat-shit crazy, based on bat-shit crazy LRH data. It is no SMALL factor.

The "tech" works? OK, what "tech"? PR tech? "Hard Sell" tech? "Gang Bang Sec Check" tech? The tech of manipulating public opinion using contrived ARC? The tech of attacking critics? The tech of handling disagreements? The tech of drilling how to lie when talking to antagonists? The tech of presenting overwhelming lawsuits against "enemies"? The tech of convincing people, via KSW via study tech, that they are the ONLY HOPE and which creates dribbling fanatics who live by the code that "the end justifies the means"? The tech of "Ruin Handling" where people are CONTROLLED in ways unlike ANY other "business or religion on planet Earth"? The tech of SP declarations and "disconnection", which together segregate out ANY and ALL dissent from the "Scientology thought pool"? What does this bozo mean by "the tech"? What a sweeping generality! What an "emotionally charged SLOGAN"! Hip-Hip-Hooray! SAVE THE TECH! I am sorry, but these type of people are full blown psycho-looney fruitcakes. They take themselves and their strange personal IDEAS way too seriously.

Where do these people come from? They display the most brain-washed of the most severely brain-washed. They are just RIGHT THERE with the whole complete LRH/KSW/Scientology vibe. They so bought into the "big purpose" and the "Boots in the Sky", and now THEY are CARRYING ON THE TRADITION WITH EXTREME DEDICATION. Yuck!!!!!! :nervous:

For me THAT is a part of it that MUST GO. It is not even open for discussion. When I see a person wearing THAT mockup, well I want to turn around and run fast!

Hey Gadfly,

Don't hold back - Tell us how you really feel!
Seriously, I get the same impression as you about this guy, but still really interested in what he's got to say. I'd love to hear from Pat Broeker too, for that matter. And Gene Denk. Too bad he died.

I think the church "needs" very much to sustain the illusion of LRH the OT, and it seems like this guy Sarge might be coming out to do damage control.

There's so much banking on the image of LRH. The church and true believers MUST hold onto that in order to maintain their illusion and keep the money rolling in.

The fun of being controlled is so underrated. Even moreso when it's by proxy, and you just know for sure that it's Ron controlling you.

It's more basic than that: Positive LRH image = Survival of Mankind; negative LRH image = Doom.

LRH = Survival.

From a 1989 issue of 'Hotline', an internal 'newsletter' for Scientology LRH PRs:

"...it is LRH's image on which all the rest of our expansion depends. To the degree that LRH is made the stable terminal in society, people will reach for his books and services and we can get them on the Bridge to Total Freedom."

Hubbard set up the ultimate fan club, one that believes that the survival and well being of Mankind, life, the universe and everything, depends on his "being well thought of."

Me, hold back? :confused2:

When people seem or appear to be attempting to use the board as some sort of "therapy", I can try to be nice, within limits, but THIS is just so nutty fruitcake looney-tunes.

For me, I long ago lost any interest in the "soap opera" aspects of Scientology. Getting into all the "drama" about anything never interested me very much, and it doesn't as far as Scientology goes either. I have been fully out, happily declared, since about 2002, not that long ago. But, I can understand how some might like to learn more "facts" about the actual take-over, Hubbard's final days, and all of that. For me though, it is quite meaningless. I wouldn't spend 2 seconds searching the Net trying to find anything to read about any of it. YAWN! The best therapy is that therapy that allows you to entirely FORGET whatever it was that had been previously on your mind (to some unnatural or obsessive degree). In this case, any experience with Scientology that one hasn't been able to "let go of fully".

But also, it is NOT necessarily to "keep the money coming in". Fundamentally, at the most basic level of personality, this person is a FUCKING BELIEVER. It isn't about the money. If it was only about the money, that wouldn't be so bad. But these types of people are full-fledged, gung-ho, KSW lemmings. THAT is weird and scary to me. They are driven by a "love of the tech", and seem to still have some "gung-ho purpose". I say to all of them, "lighten up guys, lighten up". Hbbard talks about "levels of motivation", and "money" is at the bottom of the list. At least with greed, you know what you are dealing with. At the top of the scale of "motivation" is "DUTY". Now THAT is the fanatic factor. That is the ego-obsessed notion that YOU have the TRUTH, and that YOU have the DUTY to bring this amazing truth to the rest of humanity!!!!!! No matter what! Come hell or high water. Whatever it takes!

The image gives me shivers!!! :nervous:

I don't know if these people are running some version of "damage control" for the C of S. Honestly, I think the thing is already out of control for the C of S, and it is only a matter of time. These people like Marty and this guy are probably just what they seem to be. Total Scientology nut-bags in their own wonderfully unique, over-indoctrinated ways! But, while they could possibly be part of some OSA OP to do damage control on LRH's image, and to do other things, and I don't doubt that the Church would do such a thing, but in this case, I suspect that he is "independent".

As always, I could be wrong. I only get what I glean off of this board. I don't waste any time delving further. Just not interesting enough, for me.

From the church's view, it is about the money. Money rolling in is survival for the organization. For the individual members, you are right, it is about believing in LRH and believing in the tech, and believing they are making a difference, sense of purpose, all that.

I know several people who are still clinging to the belief/hope that the "tech" will save them, will cure their pain. And they still have LRH on a pedestal. These are people who CANNOT look at anything negative about LRH.

Forget all the PR. I have. That's exactly how I was able to free myself from being a ScnSlave.

The Tech was real and the Tech works. Okay. Just remind me again--where those Clears and Operating Thetans have been hiding since 1950.

LRH was a genius. Okay. But, just to be sure...can you use the word 'genius' in another sentence of your own composition--that's not a verbatim recitation from Ron's Dictionary?

How did LRH audit every day without an auditor or CS? Could you do that? Fascinating! He was able to unlock the mysteries of the universe and, supernaturally, blaze a path to total freedom for all beings. But, he somehow could not get any one of the multitude of totally-cause Operating Thetans that he made to ask him a few auditing commands? Yeah, that makes sense.

Please understand we need to save the Tech. Counselor, if this is your closing argument, your client is definitely going to get life in prison.

Please discard all the black PR. No problem, I can do that for you. But.....I am still curious why it persists? What does your man Ron say about why things do not as-is? I bet Ron The Genius has the answer! Let me know....

gawd!! Listen to you lot!! lol

I dont know about you guys but if steve was there and signed the death cert etc and does what he says he is going to do and tells us what happened in LRHs last days and is honest about it, well I'm definitely curious and looking forward to what he has to say.
I've always felt that pat broeker is the guy that holds all the missing links and would love for him to speak out and tell what went down. Still would love it!!!!
If this guy is the next best thing, then i'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt and hear what he has to say.

I personally dont have an issue with whether people believe in the tech or hate it. for me the tech itself is a non entity in my life now days but I dont mind peoples opinions on it either way. whatever floats their boat.
if someone thinks it works for them and they get something from it thats positive for them, then great! good for them . if its doing them in and screwing with them then I say cut it loose and move on.
I just like to see people doing well in their lives. Even If getting their tea leaves read is what does it for them, well go for it! Whatever!

What I am interested in is what went down re LRHs last days and will etc as we know it wasnt all rosy and there is some serious bullshit in the whole affair and it would be great to get the truth once and for all without gloss and bias!!
can that happen? dont know, we'll see.

Most Germans who served in the Waffen SS are now dead.
Most died on WW2 battlefields for their Fuhrer. Some of those
who survived the war to die of old age were dedicated
to Hitler to their graves. The Cult of El RonScientology
and the Cult of Hitler/Nazism are similiar in this regard.
The difference is Hitler gathered many more followers
than EL Ron did.

The allies were somewhat worried about the diehard Nazis
after Germany's surrender...what would they do?
Though they were many, they did nothing. Nazism
as an effective movement was dead.

Scientology's demise will be much easier than Hitler's.
Scientology's diehards will be few, impotent, and irrelevent.
