For some reason, I just remembered another person I'd like to mention. He was the main source of the very popular course called Word of Life, or something like that. His name was David....(can't remember, maybe Pierson..no...).
He was from England, I think. He was working in the section that developed the tech and that later got R approval. Anyone know who I'm talking about? The course was originally called WOOC which stood for World Out of Comm. It later was released as Word of Life, I think. It's the one where you intensively use clay demos on basic words. It was actually one of the most effective courses I ever took.
Another person I don't think I saw mentioned was the very famous David Mayo, the highest CS. He was from Australia, I think. Very nice guy. I think he left in the 80s, but not sure.
Yes, I now remembered his name. It was David Phillips. And yes, Key to Life was the course I was thinking of.
On a previous post, I was trying to remember a Byrnes. It was Chris Byrnes who was a great guy. He worked in the sets department at Unimed and continued in sets when moved to SU. He did other things, I think, but that's what I remember most. He married a Betsy Byrnes. Chris was an "old timer" who had worked on the ship, way before I came along.
Chris passed away (RIP) in a motor bike accident.
