ARC and KRC

The following is an excerpt from an email I recently sent Jon Atack discussing my routine answer when an indie says "I like ARC and KRC they are good tools " . I hope it may help inspire consideration on the other view of these things .

I recently have been telling how he took in my opinion complexes (which I simplify even further as associations - l see emotions , ideas and behavior as linked to each other . In other words a man may think of say his mom and feel love, and do a behavior linked to her - perhaps call her . A woman may think of her baby and feel anticipation of seeing the child , and hurry up to get to see the tot .)
So it is obvious what Hubbard did here he made ARC by making emotion affinity , ideas reality and behavior communication . He knew by changing any one - even slightly- he could via repetition both normalize the new aspect of a person - say a behavior - from cognitive dissonance theory we get the other two being nudged over to resolve the dissonance . The change is always by the victim to comply with Hubbard , never accepted the other way . This is his working the corners of the triangle to raise one to raise the others .

It is a kind of conditioning as Hubbard studied Pavlov . By redefining affinity as physical closeness he makes a semantic destruction of love . It is lost in truth by this trick . Reality of course with his "agreement "instead of actuality makes delusion of "agreed on" strongly supplant the physical existence we are actually experiencing ( in my opinion ) .
It predisposes delusion as opposed to say observing nature ( the most basic root of science - observe nature to study it ) . And his communication is a way to remake behavior via a covert terminology . The drills and TRs and theories are all to make precisely controlled and submissive unthinking slaves . Who are willing to control others , as they are not aware of what they are truly doing .

He has "understanding "composed of faking liking people and hiding your true emotions , with a fixed unblinking stare ( ideal for a covert hypnotist who uses a stare to establish dominance and fake affinity for rapport ) , from" reality "hiding most of Scientology and working points of agreement ( similar to a hypnotist's method of using agreeable statements as paces to disarm judgment ) . And communication has drills and theories and methods to make a victim without hesitation control others with strong confidence . And emphasis on using intention with no doubt and perfect ability to repeat commands endlessly and control every aspect of a conversation and without upsetting someone steer attention . A very good model of a thought reformer or hypnotist .

And not to be too cheeky, but I think Hubbard took this another step - he made a method of using the cultist own mind to influence them . KRC has ( again by redefinition of terms ) knowledge as ideas , reality as emotions and control as behavior . It is subtle so bear with me . By making knowledge replace ideas he plays another trick - he has certainty replace wisdom or well tested or developed ideas . In other words he shifts from ideas to knowledge then to certainty which is not well tested and verified conclusions but unthinking deep strong delusion with no doubt . A complete reversal by redefinition - Orwell might shudder at this . And responsibility is a particularly cruel trick . He says it is "nonrecognition and denial of the right of intervention between oneself and any being..." He is making the rights of others irrelevant in the face of Scientology .He makes Scientology trump laws , authority , family , traditions , decency , equality and compassion . By a corollary of his oddly complex phrase he denies rights - which ? ALL.

He also makes all failures in Scientology a method to use shame , blame and regret to make a Scientologist just see themself as the source of all failures in Scientology as if you fail - you must take more responsibility . This is used over and over to induce guilt and that creates anxiety and a weakening of identity or ego and confusion . All confusions in Scientology are solved with "stable data " hypnotic commands given in times of vulnerability . By taking more responsibility it always means more submission to Scientology . Whether by spending more time on course or auditing or joining staff or working more or joining the SO . Or if a wealthy public giving ever increasing mountains of money . All Hubbard references on taking responsibility equal more complete surrender to the cult . In ethics this translates to a more complete submission via confession , OW write-ups , conditions etc. giving greater submission of your identity and inner secrets to the cult and its methodology .And control has by its humorous " the only way to control people is to lie to them " an odd implication . And by saying all three are linked a Scientologist is taught to take more responsibility if failing at control or to take control if failing at knowledge or responsibility . A circular idea that demands fanatical zeal with no doubt ( or critical or independent thought ), ruthless action denying all rights or outside authority or independence , and actions that require in training overriding others very will . And submission to Scientology's control as well .

Anyway , that is just an example of what I routinely dash off as an answer to an indie who may say "I love ARC and KRC - there is nothing bad about them " .
They are obviously not harmless to me .

Actually by looking at this I think I have a clearer way to explain Scientology - it is a fraud that creates and then exploits confusions . The very word ( which was stolen ) is intentionally confusing it seems like a combination of science and technology which would make it doubly scientific !
And when seen in the context of the extreme repetition of the term technology and workable technology in KSW ( the most repetitively indoctrinated and sacred doctrine in all of Scientology ) it is meant to be associated with those terms . Not to mention the confusing and complex style that is written in . Hubbard makes a long list of points then refers back and forth like mad to confuse you and overwhelm your mind with information overload and all the twists and turns , odd phrases and unusual tense and terms chosen .

I can here reprint a post on KSW itself fro illustrating this .
A brief rhetorical analysis of Keeping Scientology Working series 1 : KSW Keeping Slaves Willing

Hubbard had a Scientologist receive one piece of his doctrine in indoctrination far more than all others . It is repeated over and over and referred to again and again .

It is KSW and it rests on an interconnected series of lies that rest on one big lie to be the absolute undoubtable unquestionable foundation of Scientology. I had an ED at a local org who said " if they make it past KSW they might become Scientologists - if not we don't keep 'em " . And she was right - I did not know why then but think I do now .

The big lie that all the rest rely on is : there is " workable " I.E beneficial , reliable , scientific methodology that can consistently produce good and even miraculous results in the subject called Scientology . That is the lie . It was NEVER and will NEVER be true , at all , EVER not even a little . But the lie is the heart of the fraud and con . You have to at first find it remotely possible - even a tiny bit . Then through repetition and confusion you are nudged over and over to buy into it .

In the primary piece of Scientology doctrine Hubbard used many many tricks and fallacies to both imply and state his authority and hypnosis and mind control as well .

He made a group of implants specifically intended to stack , or combine rhetorical methods and results , they are for the authority for Hubbard and tying it to the elite status Scientologists gain by recognizing and submitting to Hubbard - the two ideas are bound to each other in a large circular argument where each reinforces and props up the other . The clever thing about this is that attacks , criticism or doubts about Hubbard or his " technology " quickly become seen and emotionally felt as personal attacks on the competence and pride of individual Scientologists . This is entirely intentional .

I actually believe his implication and statements on this even exceed the ad hominem implant group with which it intersects as both bolster one another often .
I will here include some quotes from THE centerpiece of ALL Scientology doctrine - many consider the dividing line between Scientology and other practices to be IF a person or group recognizes this reference as valid and attempts to follow it or if they consider it expendable or as having exceptions or lacking importance :

Note in my description I use the following terms as methods from hypnosis or mind control : confusion , anxiety , attention , overwhelm , induce , direct attention , ambiguous language , focus , misdirect and repetition .

Keeping Scientology Working selected quotes
1) We have some time since passed the point of achieving uniformly workable technology.

2) The only thing now is getting the technology applied.

3)If you can get the technology applied, you can deliver what's promised.

4) Getting the correct technology applied consists of:

5)One:Having the correct technology.
6)Two:Knowing the technology.
7)Three:]Knowing it is correct.
8)Four:Teaching correctly the correct technology.
9)Five:]Applying the technology.
10)Six:Seeing that the technology is correctly applied.
11)Seven:Hammering out of existence incorrect technology.
[12)Eight:]Knocking out incorrect applications.
13)Nine:Closing the door on any possibility of incorrect technology.
14)Ten:Closing the door on incorrect application.
15)One above has been done.

  • 16)Two has been achieved by many.
  • 17)Three is achieved by the individual applying the correct technology in a proper manner and observing that it works that way.
  • 18)Four is being done daily successfully in most parts of the world.
  • 19)Five is consistently accomplished daily.
  • 20)Six is achieved by Instructors and Supervisors consistently.
  • 21)Seven is done by a few but is a weak point.
  • 22)Eight is not worked on hard enough.
  • 23)Nine is impeded by the "reasonable" attitude of the not-quite-bright.
  • 24)Ten is seldom done with enough ferocity.
  • 25)Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten are the only places Scientology can bog down in any area.

26) The reasons for this are not hard to find. (a) A weak certainty that it works in Three above can lead to weakness in Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten. (b) Further, the not-too-bright have a bad point on the button Self-Importance. (c) The lower the IQ, the more the individual is shut off from the fruits of observation. (d) The service facs of people make them defend themselves against anything they confront, good or bad, and seek to make it wrong. (e) The bank seeks to knock out the good and perpetuate the bad.

27) Thus, we as Scientologists and as an organization must be very alert to Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten.

28)only so long as it does not seek to alter basic principles and successful applications.

29) We will not speculate here on why this was so or how I came to rise above the bank.

30)Similar examples exist in instruction and these are all the more deadly as every time instruction in correct technology is flubbed, then the resulting error, uncorrected in the auditor, is perpetuated on every pc that auditor audits thereafter. So Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten are even more important in a course than in supervision of cases.

31) Squirreling (going off into weird practices or altering Scientology) only comes about from noncomprehension. Usually the noncomprehension is not of Scientology but some earlier contact with an offbeat humanoid practice which in its turn was not understood.

32)With what we know now, there is no student we enroll who cannot be properly trained.

33)The proper instruction attitude is "You're here so you're a Scientologist. Now we're going to make you into an expert auditor no matter what happens, We'd rather have you dead than incapable." end quote

Now I numbered the selected quotes to make referring back easier for the reader and so I would not be constantly repeating the quotes .

The first observation I have is that there are a lot of pieces of info that refer back to each other in a CONFUSING DISJOINTED WAY - intentionally AS A VARIATION OF confusion AND a fallacy in their own right .

From Wikipedia :Proof by verbosity (argumentum verbosium, proof by intimidation) – submission of others to an argument too complex and verbose to reasonably deal with in all its intimate details.

See , Hub presented a ridiculously complex and long PL with tons of points that in a deliberately confusing way present tons of points that are referred to and back to with ambiguous language so you try to remember what all the points are and how what is said in one place relates back to something presented in a giant group of points and - it is all a confused mess !

But the sheer size of it IMPLIES a body of knowledge well organized and thoroughly understood by an AUTHORITY who must have made it ! Never mind that there is no such body of knowledge - the PRESENTATION is where your attention goes NOT validation . The monolith is simply too big to understand easily and so implies wisdom without EVER demonstrating it .

Line one is intentionally written in a confusing style to distract your mind off its truthfulness or lack thereof as you FOCUS your misdirected mind on the VERY unusual use of " since " to mean " earlier " instead of its usual meaning of " due to or from that point on or from which point in TIME ".

See , many hypnotists use statements with ambiguous or paradoxical wordings regarding time to generate slight cognitive dissonance and in the moment of blankness accompanying the dissonance - swoop in and direct attention . THIS is what Hub was really doing when he pretended you have an MU ! Jon Atack informed me about the dissonance at the exact moment of blankness and I - upon reflection and investigation of cognitive dissonance - agree fully .

Hub makes you confused with his odd , unclear and eccentric word choices - which further implies his authority as a master of language ! THIS is what he was doing with all those odd ways to say things and referring to things with two almost identical terms - so YOU would wonder why he said both characteristics AND qualities or used an unusual idiom like first and foremost - making you clear foremost and to pass a checkout LEARN foremost is a synonym for first and that the redundant use is best explained as either having no additional meaning or as an idiom it focuses attention slightly more on the concept of both words but in either case the wording CONFUSES your mind as you try to find why he uses more words than are needed over and over - you think the problem is YOU or your vocabulary or not really getting the deep meaning in his " wise words ". In any of the cases above you are confused , gain anxiety about this ( which as an " MU phenomenon " makes you focus more on words and not ideas ), and have the constant implication Hub knows something just out of reach .

In point 26 Hub IMPLIES that he is not among the not too bright and that he has a high IQ by speaking in a round about way where others with flaws he implies he does not have have their errors listed, also implying immunity to those for himself .

Points 1 , 3 , 5 and 15 ALL refer to one another in a circular argument mixed in with the other points to generate confusion sorting them out - further implying his brilliance in keeping them straight and tying up the attention of his victim - even writing about the method is confusing and I KNOW what he is doing !

The term " Technology " is initially confusing as one tries to sort out " just what the heck is this technology ? " . It is not a material science like engineering or something familiar . This ambiguous term that just refers to Scientology and Scientology is defined as the technology - which gives a hidden circular argument that there is SCIENTIFIC validated method here - with no real proof or clear explanation . So that further confuses a person . At some point a person may accept that there actually is a technology - just to understand the rest of the reference better ! Oopsies !

Lines 4 through 14 refer to each other in very slightly different ways - to confuse and imply through complexity, ambiguity and repetition that there is SOMETHING genuine to this " technology " !

Points 15 through 25 refer WAY back in a disorganized incoherent way to 5 through 14 and this is intentional as if you where to rewrite it with 15 linked to 5 , 16 to 6 , 17 to 7 , 18 to 8 , 19 to 9 , 20 to 10 , 21 to 11 , 22 to 12 , 23 to 13 , 24 to 14 and 25 as a separate clearer sentence or even short paragraph the constant keeping track of and referring back to ideas would not DIVIDE the attention to the edge of madness - further reducing the critical factor by MISDIRECTION . The ideas are actually simpler than what is written here IF better organized .

Having the correct technology has been done.

Knowing the technology has been achieved by many.

Knowing it is correct and that is achieved by the individual applying the correct technology in a proper manner and observing that it works that way.

Teaching correctly the correct technology and it is being done daily successfully in most parts of the world.

Applying the technology which is consistently accomplished daily.

Seeing that the technology is correctly applied which is achieved by Instructors and Supervisors consistently.

Hammering out of existence incorrect technology which is done by a few but is a weak point.

Knocking out incorrect applications is not worked on hard enough.

Closing the door on any possibility of incorrect technology is impeded by the "reasonable" attitude of the not-quite-bright.

Closing the door on incorrect application is seldom done with enough ferocity.

Now if this was there it would be a LOT clearer and 25 should really be a little paragraph set off and completely redone for clarity as well . Now , if stated THIS way the constant overuse of the term technology with no definition becomes abundantly clear - it is referred to over and over !

It is also clear that there are MANY claims asserted with NO PROOF EVER !!!!
The other way sorting out the vague garbage is ALL you are even trying to do - NOT decide if you accept or believe ANY of it .

Point 23 redefines " reasonable " as a BAD thing , with NO explanation for free loaded language AND acceptance of the ideas within the new language ! Point 23 has the not-quite-bright and point 26 the not-too-bright - to further confuse , as why choose such similar wording except to induce confusion ?

Point 26 should be rewritten as several sentences and made much clearer but it is also intended to divide attention and further confuse - not inform . Point 27 further divides attention .

Point 29 directs your imagination to speculate on how Hubbard in some mysterious way overcame the bank and why this was - so you ASSUME he DID overcome the bank AND that it EVEN exists ! It functions like saying do not think of a pink elephant - you automatically think of it in hearing it !

And he as an expert hypnotist KNEW you would be distracted by wondering why and how he could do this . Points 30 , 32 and 33 ALL assert (largely through very slight variation to confuse ) and repetition that Scientology works - again with no proof !

Point 31 says a lot in one place - that by calling going off into weird practices squirreling it IMPLIES Scientology is NOT weird - making it orthodox in some undefined way .

It also says this comes about from noncomprehension - linking this to the MU doctrine AND misdirecting attention off the fact that noncomprehension can be from incredulity , finding contradictions , being confused by things that do not add up - all triggers for CRITICAL analysis and inquiry ! You know like in normal pre-Scientology life .
It also further combines tricks as it claims noncomprehension is not from Scientology ( discouraging close examination ) but earlier off beat humanoid practices .

Okay this is to IMPLY earlier practices existed and may effect people now - meaning it links to the whole track doctrine as " proof " and has the corollary that if the earlier practices are offbeat THEN it follows that Scientology is NOT offbeat - with no proof .

And by saying the earlier practice "in its turn " is a vague way to imply all these earlier practices ( and earlier civilizations ) and tie up your mind wondering what and when it was and not notice that he says the practice was NOT UNDERSTOOD as a cause of noncomprehension . That has a couple more ideas too - the idea noncomprehension comes from not understood things - which is a synonym for misunderstood and that this can be linked to earlier similar things a vital and unproven Scientology doctrine .

Point 33 implies that a Scientologist is CAPABLE and being one is automatic by being here and death is preferable to not being a Scientologist - ALL strong extreme unproven claims mashed together so the overwhelmed confused student just hypnotically intakes and does not evaluate ANY of the claims for authenticity or desirability ! See , he makes many , many claims here almost all of which are NOT to be inspected or questioned or even perceived really - just taken in and followed .

I have ONLY taken a small sample from one reference - this entire PL is a huge logical fallacy designed to stir emotion , wonder , confusion , an air of expertise and certainty that there is a real subject here and Hubbard MUST be the authority on it and only true originator ( asserting the single source myth with no proof ) and make you buy and never question many other ideas and bolster lies from other doctrine linking them in your mind .It is intended to through repetition and confusion gain dominance and install the double bind ( or circle of lies )

Explained in the following link :

http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthrea...NTOLOGY-PART-1

Supplemented by the following link

http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthrea...UENCE-OF-STUDY

This is my first quickie off the cuff analysis of KSW - Keeping Slaves Willing .

I hope it can help show many claims are asserted with no shred of proof and ideas accepted without direct examination as a requirement to even participate in Scientology .

This trend only expands over time .

There are many , many other places Hub pretends expertise and authority - all without merit . I started with this as IT hangs up exes often for decades in confusion - as it was intended to . Simply put the confusion is a kind of trance state that can impair thinking and happiness covertly for life if unhandled .

There are many of these states that a Scientologist accumulates and pile up , even moving from one to another seemlessly after they replace normal thought and identity enough . Some people cancel a few trances or many but not all and so are " weird " years after leaving Scientology or still enthralled or fascinated by parts of it even if knowing Hub lied or the tech fails and the group is a criminal cult .

I am sorry I am very sure that is how it works - I wish just figuring out he lied or there are no OTs or the SO and orgs are running a fraud would magically make us wake up but for many that is simply not true . I do plan to soon write another thread entirely on trance states so people can better understand what happens to their mind and what Scientology does to it .

But I hope this served both as an example of Hub's unsubstantiated claims of authority and the utter fraud and deception KSW was always intended to serve as . It is a circular argument : the tech works this way and only this way because Hub as the top expert knows it and he is the top expert because it works but neither is ever proven at all !

Enjoy sharing this with everyone especially indies and under the radar folks .

I could do a more thorough analysis involving ethos , logos and pathos as well as sublime writing and embedded commands ( many of which in KSW are Hitler doctrine slightly altered ) but this brief one is a sufficient start to me for making my point . KSW is purely meant to covertly influence and be used for that - and do not forget is meant to be indoctrinated with Hubbard's authoritarian ( some call it hypnotic ) "study tech " .

But back to my main point , the pattern in Scientology is incredibly - almost idiotically simple -confuse a person by some method even slightly then offer a "stable datum" for that confusion that is accepted . Here is the important part I just now got this exactly - the stable data is ALWAYS meant to be two things a lie and a method to induce further confusion that leads to accepting another stable datum , over and over . That is the con . The details vary and their effects and deserve tremendous study and dissection but the formula has only a few basic parts always . Confuse , offer solution to confusion give "solution" it is a lie designed to bring more confusion immediately or later . Sometimes their is a delay or apparent relief for a time before the confusion is back . Why ? Because if it does not add up the truth was not part of the equation - it is all lies . Always was always will be . No truth ever , no workable anything , no miracles . One formula one conman one con .

This is why Hubbard wanted people to not be given one thing to solve a problem - he wanted the person baited then drawn in forever .

That is all Scientology is a big con made bit by bit from small ones built up into a total gradual surrender of identity and self .The ironic thing is that the surrender comes for one purpose - to relieve the confusion by submitting to Hubbard's will to escape the confusion .

Have you ever been with someone , and you are thoroughly confused in a situation and they tell you to do something to change or end the situation and you do not understand how it will help or why but you just do it to get away from the unpleasant situation and the unpleasant feeling that trying to figure it out brings ? You not just follow instructions but also surrender judgment to avoid the confusion .

It seems logical - I cannot figure it out but this guy seems to know what to do so let us get this over with . It can work out and you may figure things out by observation in more simple and honest relationships and activities but that is not the case here . Not one bit . Hubbard is the absolute last person you should trust EVER . With anything . It is moronically simple and clear once you see it -confuse then lie , confuse then lie - have the lie set up further cooperation and confusion which leads to surrender and enslaving . Then they die , game over .But we can end the game now that we know it . I hope this is not confusing .:coolwink:

It's a con fusion... A fusion of many different cons... :p

And I think there are too less Scientology themed "demoties"...

Eldritch Cuckoo, Nice work....but I take exception to the "space age" aspect of this rendering.

As I've posted several times.....El Con could not have seen a "talking film" or talkie...as they were called until he was around 18 years of age. Then another couple decades or so....until the first color film came out. El Con grew up during the "Silent Movie" era.

To be more accurate as to what El Con grew up with ...as far as movies....here are a few examples...of the type of theater and shows he would have grown up with.

No worry, there's more than one shoop in there. :clapping:

The spaced-out corridor actually is the corridor from the hotel to the "super power building". I'm still much too much of a ST-TnG fan and wouldn't have chosen this (admittedly very cool) corridor if it weren't a Scientology "creation". I know that in context with Hubbard hisself it's kinda anachronistic but still this kind of hypnotic (by overwhelming megalomania) architecture is with what Scientologists are dealing today. :coolwink:

... snatching all your pics and trolling off ...

EDIT: The third picture is very tiny, just the size of the thumbnail when clicking on it... a mistake maybe, having saved a thumbnail?

Snatch all you want....I just got them off Google images.

Yea...that corridor is interesting. It is some sort of walking connection between Ft. Harrison and the Supha Powder building....I guess...from the second floor to the second floor of each building.

I find it interesting...that this was build at all.

I guess....that at critical times....when protesters are at Flag.....Hotel guests can just walk back and forth to the hotel, via this walkway....and not have to see any "entheta" outside in the real world....

:eyeroll:

I have, on occasion, seen a person or persons looking down at me....from that walkway....when I was there protesting...

In going off into how the con is actually under one formula I worked out something else people have asked and wondered about . I now have been told getting a person to do as you say is in fact controlling them . Even if it is as simple as saying finish reading this sentence and a person cooperates . (Thanks for that ) Or saying walk over there or put that down . That is why you do TRs and upper indoc TRs - to make it accepted to obey and command without boundaries or unwillingness to cross others in complying with Hubbard's will as it is expressed in his doctrine . He wants this behavior to become accepted , then routine , then habitual . He wants to condition compliance by worshippers and their controlling others to make them into worshippers . Like a giant growing brainwashing machine feeding on any caught in its reach . Like a Borg cube assimilating the minds of those it grabs who then add resources in money and more slaves . A cult is a large abusive relationship perpetuator made by an abuser with slaves as its most needed element . Money and land and military and political power and legal acceptance help but slaves are the essential ingredient . AS Hubbard is dead it is clear the cult does not always actively need an abuser - though DM certainly fills the role . The slaves can keep abusing each other and making more without knowing it because the caste system is so complex and the fraud so well hidden it is like a giant maze that thousands of mice are in and cannot even see from within . When you get far enough away and look at it the right way you can see it .

To continue , I am often asked how after 25 years in and most of that as a very close minded and fanatical extremist , how did I within a couple months come to totally reject everything From Hubbard and all his methods without reservation ?

I was asked about intelligence and my family background and other things . Not to disappoint you but people far more intelligent than me have taken decades to get to my level of rejection of Hubbard . That is not the reason . Part of it is that I could instantly find certain information I have discussed before but even now with that widely available others still often take longer - some much much longer to reject Hubbard's fraud .

Let's go back to how it is applied - Fred , our cult victim - is brought in on a point of cooperating to some degree , even slightly with the cult even if just by walking in or listening or reading something . He is doing what Hubbard directs . He has some confusion - it could be miniscule . What is Scientology ? Is it a science or religion or something else ? Is Dianetics a psychotherapy or just talking about your problems ? Fred can have any tiny confusion or even just a curiosity and the cult can make him confused - via evaluating a personality test or showing him a film with odd ideas and words . Just a little confusion is all it takes - and new ideas and words are inherently confusing . Fred gets directed to do something to alleviate the confusion , read a book , take a course , meet a staff member watch a video - SOMETHING .

The important thing is the person in confusion follows direction to handle it and it seems to be handled , but it often is not . Scientology is a confusing term as it sounds like science and technology combined but is promoted as an applied religious philosophy but that is a confusing way to say a religion as all religions in fact fit that definition if you break it down . And Hubbard goes to great lengths to add to that initial confusion and never clear it up . He gives long ambiguous and circular vague definitions and in his stories claims to tell you something and never gets around to telling you . That is to make a mystery but more than that to confuse you and then direct your attention and action within that confusion .

That is the con , that is why Hubbard never gave claims of OT feats ( aside from some rare ones in person ) . That is why he would say " Ron , People ask where are you on the bridge ? " and he would NEVER answer . Certainly not as an idea in the doctrine that is disseminated at entry level . He wanted confusion via mystery to stir in an unresolvable way in his victim's mind to help control them . Mysteries require confusion - what is this ? Why is it this way ? How Ot is he ? What OT powers does he have ? What OT powers will I get ? These mysteries serve to direct and tie up attention and prevent examination of clear claims . Even a slight claim in Scientology doctrine would lead to - is this real and verifiable coming up . And the answer to that is not confusing-NO . No OT feats , no OTs no clears no workable technology EVER . That is the truth about Scientology . He confuses by talking about OT powers from way back down the track but promotes regaining abilities in vague language on the grade chart and in promotional materials intentionally so the victim wonders at it all in a directed manner - how OT can these courses make me ? When do I get telekinesis and to go exterior and heal people at will ? NOT do I get this but when and how much . Mysteries without answers are the opposite of critical thinking . And scientific methodology .

That is his method . In my mind whether it is from his love of hypnosis and it having confusion and repetition in it or rhetoric or somewhere else he arrived at 1)get attention 2)create confusion 3) lie to direct attention while pretending to resolve the confusion( without resolving the confusion as it is his basis for an entry point for exploitation - so he will never give it up ) 4) create another confusion requiring more attention and controlled action to pursue a claimed resolution that never comes 5) get more compliance from the victim and gradual increase via the first four steps over and over in confusion and compliance . And by compliance increasing I mean getting greater and greater degree of how willing and unthinking the victim is . How willing to do more and more extreme things and give more money and adulation and trust and even the victim's life and blind loyalty are they ? Never enough for Hubbard - he wanted gradual building to absolute devotion .With no other priorities even left at all . And the confusion is to grow too as he saw it holding this all in place . Some will look at his study of hypnosis and say the growing confusion acts hypnotically and some would say it creates a condition of hiding the cognitive dissonance and discomfort in the subconscious via trance logic so it gets directed via projection or other psychological defense mechanisms at any who bring the confusion back to the surface but that is not the main point and that is for those who pursue the finest details on this to consider . And the growth of confusion is vital as it leaves those who do realize something is not true or right to often take forever to unstick the lies one by one as they feel odd about the ideas and unsure what is untrue or not . They do not see the pattern and so are emotionally still prey to it and emotion influences thought and behavior .

Okay , so back to why I rejected Hubbard totally within a couple months : Scientology uses thousands of accumulated confusions to hold it in place , the auditing that is euphoria from hypnosis and the trances in course are all confused with genuine mystical experiences and many events are confused for others and the conditions are confused with laws for life when they are fallacies , as is the tone scale . These are to control thought and behavior and claimed as discoveries instead of fabrications and so confound and confuse . This is why Scientology has thousands - perhaps millions of contradictions in it .

I detail some in the Secret Of Scientology Part 1 :http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthread.php?37580-THE-SECRET-OF-SCIENTOLOGY-PART-1

I realized in about January 2014 that there are no current OTs in the Sea Org and so can be none anywhere and so no clears and so no true technology as it all relied on the authority Hubbard is afforded as the clear and OT maker . All his credibility rests on those claims . I knew no matter how odd it felt or what doubts I had or trouble in reframing reality in a way that explained all my ideas and experiences that were there or came up - Hubbard was a pathological liar and from my experience dealing with unrepentent criminals , predators , narcissists and other devious manipulators before the cult life that you can never believe anything they say . So I resolved all confusions by being sure they were from being deceived somehow and pursued that course with great zeal .

The people who take so long or never recover despite any evidence do not see the confusions are what he used to bind the lies and forge the prison of belief . You can be confused by things - that is genuine so using a fake answer makes the directing of your attention off the confusion feel real if you do not look closely and see they are different . That is the mortar to make the certainty that Scientology has something real in it - your confusion hidden away is real but your being directed away is only momentary partial relief . That is sold as real but fake . That is why lies are always needed .

I know what ARC, KSW and CSW are, but what is KRC?

Keeping Ron in Cash? :confused2:
Knowledge, Responsibility, Control comes to mind, but I may just be hallucinating.

Edit: The above might be correct. One thing I do remember is the definition of 'Standard' as in 'Standard Tech'.

A definite level or degree of quality that is proper and adequate for a specific purpose.

It's quite frightening really how deeply embedded some of this scientology shit goes since I can barely remember what I had for breakfast yesterday, but I remember that from 47 years ago. Thinking about it now I have a suspicion that that was the Webster's dictionary definition of the word at the time, although I could be wrong.

One good thing that has come out of this post is that I googled 'scientology definition of standard' to see if I could find the phrase I have written here. I didn't find it but what I DID notice is that the first three 'scientology.org' sites are flagged up by Avast as having 'a bad reputation'. LOL. Someone somewhere out there is doing a good job!

A fair amount of early Scientology derives from the works of Aleister Crowley. One of Hubbard's "borrowings" was Crowley's, "Love is the Law. Love under Will."

Crowley, in his 'Little Essays Towards Truth', described "Love" in terms of "gravitation, chemical affinity, electrical potential."

"There is then little indeed in common between Love and such tepid passions as regard, affection, and kindness..."

WILL is senior to LOVE, and LOVE is seen as "affinity."

Add this to Hubbard's 1938 "SURVIVE!' as the central pillar of his "philosophy," and one can see why Scientology has gone the way it has.

Oh, and one more ingredient: sneakiness. Despite the chest thumping of, "I can make Napoleon look like a punk," Hubbard, 1938, and "I can make Captain Bligh look like a Sunday school teacher," Hubbard, 1969, Scientology's primary tactic is deception and deviousness.

The sneakiness goes back to 1938 too, when Hubbard wrote of his secret "real goal."

One more "Affinity" related item...

crowhub1.gif

Hubbard's 'The Factors' appears to be a re-working of Crowley's 'Naples Arrangement', complete with Hubbard's substitution of "Affinity, Reality, Communication" for Crowley's yogic "Bliss, Knowledge, Being."

And Crowley's 'Naples Arrangement' was, itself, a re-write of older Kabbalistic (and other) ideas, with Crowley's addition of a bit of Yogic teaching.

Hubbard removed the earlier part of Crowley's Naples Arrangement which posits a primordial 0+ and 0- (boy and girl aspect of "zero") which somehow generate a kind of pre-cosmic tension that begins the creation of (a) (the) universe.

However, Hubbard kept Crowley's insertion of "Bliss, Knowledge, Being" which became "Affinity, Reality, Communication."

Bliss, Knowledge, Being is inserted in the same place that Hubbard later added "Affinity (Bliss), Reality (Knowledge), Communication (Being)" to his 'The Factors'.

From Crowley's 'Book of Thoth':

"These ideas of Being, Thought and Bliss [or Bliss, Knowledge, Being] constitute the minimum possible qualities which a point must possess if it is to have a real sensible experience of itself..."

Other things, such as Scientology's Four Conditions of Existence (as-isness, alter-isness, isness, not-isness), many of its scales, and much more, derive from Hubbard's study of Crowley.

Sometimes people become enchanted by these introductory pieces of Scientology and follow Hubbard's yellow brick road,

ultimately, to their detriment.

Someone could pull something relevant out on this if I baited the hook . I should have known : it had to be Veda .
I personally never use the occult as a reference on something that has any magical powers or properties . I do not look for proof of that and have - now that I have reframed all my Scientology experiences as explainable by conventional science and cultic studies - no evidence that has any merit to me of valid mystical events in my life .No offense to others - I am on a different path but would consider extraordinary evidence if it was subject to scientific validation very , very thoroughly . I do not look for nor expect to find that .

I read the Book of Law and found 41 points on a quick browsing that Hubbard altered and placed throughout Dianetics and Scientology doctrine which I could immediately coordinate from memory . I should do a thread on that but planned to read more by Crowley to make the strongest case possible for exes and indies that they are practicing Crowley's doctrine in Scientology . I have not yet verified Veda's claim personally but I do not disagree with it .

Due to similarities in certain patterns I have found since I first started looking back in January 2014 ( a long time ago for me ) that Hubbard had several strong factors that contributed to his ideology and behavior and psychopathology but not exactly how and that to convince some I would need to find smoking guns and buried bodies to dethrone the demented demigod in his victim's minds . He took other ideas from cults and how to control and influence people and Crowley and even earlier cult leaders so knowing in whatever terms they called it that ideas , behavior and emotion are all linked and can be used to influence one another and thereby control people covertly is of no surprise to me . Cult leaders all play the same game . They all exploit the same weaknesses .

Hubbard was quoted as saying he removed all unneeded elements and retained what worked from earlier practices . In his warped evil narcissistic sociopathic mind what worked was what fooled and enslaved . So taking Crowley's work and Jung and Freud's and repackaging what he thought was an underlying truth in his own terms is believable to me . He thought he was distilling out the purest essence of their ideas when he stole and combined them . Part of his mind in my opinion was likely compartmentalized and always knew it was a con as proven out by making Scientology an espionage organization with very mundane operations and taking many routine actions to hide the lack of results of all his "technology" .

The enticing thing about some elements Hubbard and Crowley use is they are almost things that seem to make sense , they seem a whisper away from truth but that whisper is a cruel lie . The difference between delusion and an honest idea for reflection upon - not meaning true or enlightened , just interesting or bearable .

There are common ideas that come up over and over in works Hubbard stole from . Some are flat out wrong and harmful , some are of a variety that feel good to contemplate but do not have proof of being special or true wisdom . It feels good to have needs fulfilled or think you have found good news . But this news is really opinion and not proven in an unbiased logical manner . I avoid addressing much of this as some might say I attack all religion but I do not attack religion I attack Scientology . What shines on that golden path is the hope for gold to be there people put on it not the path itself . The Hubbard's of the world convince their victim's to see it shine so brightly they see nothing else and to hear him as being so wise , his words so sweet they truly hear nothing else .

Veda , do you believe ARC and KRC serve the functions I mentioned in Hubbard's attempts to enslave ?

And to be even more exact on this . I recently came across material on narcissists and sociopaths and was stunned at how exactly accurate some of it is in describing Hubbard . Some descriptions have twelve or twenty traits and Hubbard was one for one on all of them . That warranted more examination and I found no matter what their education some of these models and theories show these people using confusing language and lies and contradictory stories to bewilder people and make them vulnerable to exploitation . Regardless of knowing hypnotism or mind control or even being able to read . It is first nature for a very , very small percent of people . So I considered Hubbard's use of confusion as having a possible deeper root than his study of hypnotism - though that provided many methods to attempt and combine . That prompted looking at Scientology anew and seeing all my experiences as fitting a pattern that is even simpler than earlier ones .

A narcissist or sociopath in some models gets victims to accept lies to confuse and control them and when clarity can come from truth they refuse to give it . I knew a person called Pat who would enthusiastically say "other people say this about you and that " and " everyone knows you do this wrong and have this to learn " . I realized he was using gaslighting as revealing the hidden thoughts of others always involves a confusion as the thoughts might be truly what someone said or might not . They might have been changed in being passed on to be more harsh or less. The person might hate you or not really mean it and just have been angry about something else . So I told Pat to have the courage to say what was in his heart . He was stunned . He would come back in the days after and say " Do you want to know what is being said about you !?" and be agitated . I would calmly look right at him and say " As long as it comes from your heart " . He always walked away deflated and dejected . He could only confuse with other people's claims as he had so little status all his complaints were laughed at openly . Everyone knew he lied and was selfish and cruel and so showed him no support , or his complaints either . He needed to be able to confuse to have power .

To help a Scientologist get them to look at what their ruin was when they came in . Many upon close examination realize this was never handled . The ruin is something Scientology somehow convinces you is ruining your life . And that Scientology can handle it . Scientology can do two things : make it appear something is ruining your life when it is not or find something you are unhappy about and pretend it can handle it . Either way there is a confusion as Scientology cannot improve you or your life but it can distract you from that as you are entrapped in a web of lies . It can confuse you about how or with what it can improve you as it is so big and contradictory always with hidden parts to reach for more and more .Always a more confusing subject as you get deeper into it and not less. I have met OT VIIIs and BC students who when being asked about their gains with the exact same terms used to describe their courses in Scientology doctrine pause , look stunned into anxiety , look around subtly and then relax and say "yes" in a monotone flat way .

They were not prepared for the question but could not outright reject it as it was in fact Hubbard doctrine . At the upper levels the promotional claims are avoided as a kind of mutual tacit consent that the gains never really occur and you accept less and less as you move up the bridge and compromise with your expectations more and more and finally just do courses out of habit after a while or to stay in the trances they provide to avoid unpleasant reality . I a person at the bottom of the bridge but so good at stating the non-confidential parts of their courses it stunned them .

The cognitive dissonance of the contrast between reality which I reminded them of and the claims they avoided as uncomfortable caused confusion to surface . that was where the anxiety came from . Their trance was threatened and they searched frantically in their mind for a stable datum - found one and reentered the trance and became calm and almost dead to me . I could almost see them thinking " How can this be ? I am supposed to be a demigod and cannot get my kids to listen or learn how to use a VCR ?" , then they would find some Hubbard quote that justified their lack of abilities promised and go "Oh , yeah things are on a gradient so it is okay I have trouble with that "or "I need more training to be cause over that or word clearing or FPRD or..."

The little bit of material presented was to show antecedents for some of the things that, sometimes, impress those who are lured into Scientology. That tends to loosen the glue.

IMO, virtually everything in Scientology is there to be used to Scientology's advantage.

Rather be in a Dentist's chair.....having a tooth drilled, than talk about this.....but....

ARC triangle was stated as a method to increasing and bringing about Understanding. (which sounds like total bullshit now....)

But can't recall what the KRC triangle did.

If one employs the KRC triangle......what does that bring about?????

Anyone recall this one?

It seems the Cult today is using the KRC triangle on its members to know their bank account numbers...and credit card numbers....and taking control of them and taking responsibility for them....and turning the poor clams into slaves.....

IMO
