At least $383 million in donations to IAS

Very interesting and to my mind important article from Why We Protest:
IMPACT MAGAZINE #115 The entire IAS membership list.

Impact Magazine Issue 115 is the last issue in which the IAS listed all of it's donors. All issues after Issue 115 show only the IAS donors that attended events to pick up their prize and get their pix taken with DM.

With the help of another SP I got this list put together and did some calculations and came up with the figure of $383 million for the amount of money that the IAS has gathered from it's inception in Oct 1984 to the end of 2006.

This is a LOW ESTIMATE. It does not include any of the yearly memberships or the lifetime memberships.

I'm quite sure that the amount is well over 400 million right now as the amount does not include the millions given by Nancy Cartwright, Kristi Ally and the Travoltas in the past few years.

OK so here's all the names and their status.

This data will be fed to the TAS database

Oh, and I should admit, a very small portion of that $383 million is (was) mine. No big contributions. No lifetime. But some annuals....

I have to admit, I was blown away by the number.

More info from Why We Protest:
The list has 10,860 names who have donated at least $5000 to the IAS since it was founded in 1984 up to 2006.

At least 50% are partners, so make that 15,000+ individuals. Then presumably add all those who have been Declared and/or are known SPs. My impression of rich Scientologists is that they don't become vocal critics if they leave, so that may not be a significant number.

I estimated a few years back that there were about 60,000 Lifetime members in good standing at $2,000 a pop, and I expect all the above would be Lifetime members. I'm presently inclined to think that may have been too high. The cumulative number of Lifetime members is about 150,000, that's on the plastic membership card.
