Latest Australian census data from 2016 shows there are now 1681 people who declare themselves to be scientologists in Australia.
This is down from 2163 in 2011, which was down from 2507 in 2006. CoS says there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of scns in Aust.
There were reports recently scientologists are spending $6 million on Perth HQ. Census says they have just 195 members in WA.

Int Base:

Now, we have learned that there have been a series of more recent escapes, and we’ve been receiving new information about Int Base for the first time in several years. Among the details that we’ve been told by our sources…

1. David Miscavige has not visited Int Base — which used to be his primary home — in more than four years.

2. Escape attempts have increased in frequency as conditions at the base continue to deteriorate.

3. Pregnancies are becoming more frequent as Sea Org couples use that method to get sent away from the base. (Previously, the policy was to coerce Sea Org women to have abortions so they remained on post, but after that situation was reported by the press, the church changed the policy, and now merely kicks pregnant couples out of the Sea Org.)

4. Miscavige’s primary residence is now his apartment in Hollywood behind the Author Services Inc. building on Hollywood Boulevard.

DM closing down Int

On today's Tony Ortega blog he was talking about DM possibly shutting down int base. Isn't that kind of like having a tiger by the tail. What are you going to do with all those staff that you've got it in the hole? That strikes me as a big out PR problem. If those people get loose, and start yapping? Also, more are getting pregnant since abortions are now verboten.

It's an easy way to bail.

Maybe DM will end up like many billionaires, who owns many properties that are all empty and just caretakers live there.

Thanks for posting this. It's kinda big news, isn't it? Here's the link and an excerpt....

"We pointed out that for some time, we’ve been working on the theory that Miscavige is de-emphasizing the importance of Scientology’s formerly major centers in Southern California and has instead been building up Scientology’s presence in Clearwater, Florida.

“Miscavige had talked about that,” our source says. “He said that he was going to move key projects to Clearwater. And he had even talked about shutting down Int Base entirely.”

"Staff? What staff? They all left years ago. No, I have no idea where they went. And you have no way of proving otherwise".

There's lots of mountainous wilderness near Int Base. You could dispose of bodies there in some cave and they would never be found. Ever.

It's amazed me that they have kept it and invested so heavily in it all this time. It was always LRH's pipe dream. An upgrade from the
La Quinta hideout. It's too remote to not be a logistical nightmare and it's too hot to be any fun half the year. Whenever I see pictures or drone vids:thumbsup: I look for people and vehicles and it reminds me of a ghost town maintained in a state of arrested decay by Parks and Recreation.

And who will pay the full dollar for dollar value of improvements for these same reasons?

Let's look at the assets that actually are there, and who would they be useful to.

The Gold Production facilities. Think of the new media who need content, like Netflix. From all reports, it is a first class sound stage, editing, production facility.

You have a first class HQ for perhaps a software company in the building that DM had built for himself. No one is using it now, but Class A office buildings. Think coding camp with all the apartments that are there. It could be re-purposed easily in many ways.

The thing is, there are only a limited number of companies who would be interested. As such, it would go for cheap, or, it just rots. Considering the irrationality of DM, it'll probably rot.

It could be converted into the ASC headquarters.

First order of business. Issue orders to complete all refunds and repayments with funds obtained by mortgages against all International Landlord owned and or operated properties real or personal. Time machine 10am on Mondays since Thursdays don't exist in the ASC work week.

Second, establish a library containing all verbal orders by DM and require him to be taxed on each one to the tune of $50,000 per item with the proceeds distributed to anyone every sent to an RPF or assigned lower conditions.

Also provide a military grade submarine for DM to report to and inhabit during his probation which lasts until he has written in duplicate apologies to all 16 million ex scientologists asking for re-admission to humanity. The Submarine can travel the prison planet underground caves and take position in each of the CSI underground bunkers where rice and beans will be the sole two items on the daily meals menu. Tom Cruise can bring stale shrimp provided he documents and produces a new version of Battlefield Earth II starring DM slapping Tom and John until they agree to pay for all legal costs of cases brought against any scientology entity.

As an adjunct Marty Rathbun gets to go on a mission with the orders written by Ray Jeffrey to re-direct and convert the scn properties in Clearwater to a research center regarding the modern science of mental malignant narcissism with Marty being the star case example. Once he completes his cycle of action he can invite DM to experience the truth rundown. The mental health procedures developed can replace OTIX and OTX which both DM and Marty and Karin Pouw get to pilot the project.

No CSW's will be required to add to this imaginary whole track incident of long duration session.

If the Church is indeed putting less emphasis on real estate, you might agree it could be smart to move to an alternative like mobile Orgs or something. This could just be the opportunity to avoid a softening market affected by the overall impact of online shopping and advances in mobile technology. If walk-ins aren't coming to you go to them.

I would think musical chairs with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, group confessional re-enactments in The Hole, and staged escapes would be popular. You know, like the old mock six shooter duels that they do at Tombstone - only do it like when Jesse held them at gunpoint. People running around a pole under the hot desert sun, digging dry sewage with their bare hands. So much potential for a theme park.

I'd drill down to the natural hot spring and get that going again - tourists can enjoy a relaxing spell in the springs after a day of watching people suffer.
