Bad Ice Cream, Bad!

Hi All,

I posted this around 10 years ago, and a few of you old timers may recall this from ARS. I wanted to post it here because I think some may find it interesting, or repulsive or just way too long.

This is a chronicle of my "last days" (months) in the Sea Org. It starts from the last post I held:

I was Lead sup in a course room at ITO and doing quite well. I was consistently upstat and was highly regarded by my students and fellow staff members. Life was pretty good.

During this time, I was dating a girl (we'll call her 'Lindsey'). One weekend night while on libs (liberty - time off), Lindsey and I went to my parents house to watch some TV and hang out. My parents weren't home and well, one thing led to another. We committed one of the greatest sins a Sea Org member can commit - we went "out 2D" (had sex if you hadn't guessed by now).

Well, time went on, I was still kicking ass as a Sup and doing generally excellent. Lindsey and I did break up after awhile (about 2 months after the incident). She wasn't doing so well, she was in ethics for being chronically downstat and whilst there, she wrote up her o/w's (overts and withholds) which of course included our little interlude. About the same time, the Church was holding a general amnesty and Lindsey had told me she was going to get the overt off. I figured I better take advantage of that and likewise wrote up the incident. Little did I know, the axe was to fall across my neck next.

I'm merrily going about finding M/U's (misunderstood words) on my students when my assistant Sup taps me on the shoulder and says the CO (Commanding Officer) needs to see my in his office. I was always pretty adamant about not having distractions in the course room so I was not happy to leave, but it was the CO, so off I went.

I walked into his office and there he was behind his desk. A CMO missionaire stood by his side along with 2 security guards. I'm thinking to myself "Aw shit, this can't be good". He tells me to sit down, I do and he hands me a piece of Goldenrod. I start reading and I clench my jaw. I'm reading my RPF assignment. FUCK! I couldn't believe this. Here I was, the most upstat Supervisor in the whole frickin org and I was getting RPF'd! I looked at my CO pleadingly, I said "Come on, this is bullshit and you know it", "I didn't even get a comm-ev". I could tell by the look in his eyes that he agreed with me 100% but he didn't dare say anything with the CMO missionaire standing over him. I then asked for a pen and a piece of paper so I could write and submit my formal request for a Comm-ev. I did that and the 2 security guards escorted me away.

About two minutes before being hauled off, break was called in the course room, so all the students were out in the hallway and around. Being escorted by 2 security guards past all my students was probably one of the most humiliating moments of my life. God that sucked.

So, off I go to the basement of the Complex. I'm put on the routing onto RPF routing form and I handle all the transition stuff (clear out my gear from berthing, etc). I inform the RPF MAA and Bosun that I won't be here longer than 2 weeks. That the assignment was bull and my comm ev would absolve me. I was given the nod of "Yea, sure pal, whatever you say".

Being on the RPF wasn't terribly difficult for me. I was in good shape physically and actually enjoyed the chance to do some laborious work (interestingly enough, it was while on the RPF that I got to meet Tom Cruise and Lisa Presley). Of course, being on the RPF meant I couldn't associate with any of my friends and family and that really sucked, but I kept telling myself it wouldn't be long.

I did well for the first couple of months while on the RPF. I got along well with my twin and had some great wins helping him through his shit. I even got a white armband (that meant I could have dinner with my family). I was frequently sending dispatches to my org HCO to follow up on the comm ev and never got a reply. That was discouraging.

One night while cleaning the grates in the VRU (short description - very disgusting detail), my brother comes walking by and starts talking to me. It was nice to talk to him. He then offered me an ice cream cone which I happily accepted. Unfortunately, another RPF'er witnessed this and reported it. Damn, I was in trouble.

Now I'm wearing an orange arm band (RPF's RPF). Not only can I not associate with friends, I can't even associate with other RPF'ers! And if I thought cleaning the VRU grates was bad, white gloving "Rat's Alley" every night before dinner was really a treat. For those of you who were in the SO at the complex and know what Rat's Alley is, you've gotta' be feeling for me right about now... :)

Well, I was doomed to stay the rest of my Sea Org days as an RPF's RPF'er because I was getting downright ornery about now and wouldn't "reform". I was becoming a real pain in the ass for some people (I pulled a few stunts that were heavily frowned upon). None of my dispatches had been answered and I was going on 6 months now.

I finally gave up on getting my comm ev and decided to route out. I was bummed. I really enjoyed being in the Sea Org. I really was doing well and had a bright future. The truth is, had this not occurred, I could very well still be on staff.

For those of you who have tried to route out of the SO, you know it can be quite a chore. Most people take as long as a YEAR to accomplish this. I didn't want to stay on the RPF's RPF for a year, so I intensified my bad attitude until I was given priority attention. It worked, I was out within 2 weeks.

Wow, I'm out of the Sea Org after 3 1/2 years. I'm in my early 20's and wondering what I'm going to do. I do what any sensible 20 year old would do, I move in with my parents! I did that and got a pretty good job doing construction work (one very good thing about the RPF is you get to really hone those construction skills).

A bit of time went by and I was contacted by HCO ITO. They wanted to give me my comm ev. Holy smokes, I couldn't believe it! I thought that was cool and I got the comm ev which of course canceled by BS RPF assignment.

Then I get recruited again. I went back into the SO and back into the courseroom. It looked like things were going to be a-OK. After about a year, I grew a bit restless. While out in the "wog world", my affinity for computer technology grew and grew and I really wanted to work in the industry. Since my past had now become a bit colored, I was no longer qualed to work in Incomm (the computer org) so I decided to route out again and pursue Scientology as a public and work in the computer industry.

Boy, that didn't go over to well. Again I was doing really well as a Sup and my senior (the Chief Off who I was quite close to) couldn't believe it. She tried to convince me that I was still sitting in my injustice and that we should handle that. We tried, I went into session, but the truth was, I wasn't really bitter about my RPF assignment. I thought it was bogus, but I just rolled with the punches and moved on. No big deal. Since that didn't handle me, she though maybe I better get a PDH check (basically this is a plant check, they try to discover if you were sent to the org as a plant). That of course came up nil and I was still resolved on moving on.

Again, the line to route out was very slow, so I had to be an asshole again and again it worked. I was a public again.

Well, things got real bad from there. I was happily pursuing a career in the technology sector when I received an alarming phone call from a friend on staff. He told me I had been declared SP! Holy sweet mother of Jesus! This couldn't be right! He faxed me a copy of the declare and I read it over in disbelief. I was being accused of some pretty crazy stuff, like being a sexual pervert (because Lindsey was 17 and therefore a minor) and squirreling Scientology! Pretty outrageous.

Crap crap crap, now I have to get another comm ev, but I can't associate with any Scn'ists in good standing. What a dilemma. Being so young and being in the SO for so long, nearly all my friends were staff or Scn'ists. Shit, where was I going to live? I then remembered an old friend who lived in Northern California. She wasn't a Scn'ist so I called her up and said I'm moving in with you. She laughed and said "Sure, when are you coming up?". "In 5 hours" I said, that's how long it should take to drive there at 75-80mph. She couldn't believe it, but sure enough, I threw my meager belongings into my car and off I went that day. I had a number of adventures along they way, but I'll save those for another day.

I lived up there for awhile awaiting to be heard by the comm ev. After many months, there was no word so I called the CLO HCO. I was told the comm ev was already held and that they upheld my declare! I couldn't believe this. I was so angry, I could scream. Well, rather than scream, I decided to handle this once and for all. Again, I threw everything into my car and trekked back down to Southern Calif. I had no where to go, so I lived in the car awhile until I got a break and found someone who had a house that I could live in, in exchange for fixing it up.

Now that I was back in LA, I demanded another comm ev and really put my nose to the grindstone to make sure this committee had all the facts. This one went much smoother (and more standardly, the other comm ev never even interviewed me!). Within 90 days my declare was lifted and I was in good standing. Interestingly enough, I spoke with the comm-ev secretary after all was said an done, and he strongly eluded to the fact that it appeared someone had it out for me and that my ethics file was riddled with false reports. To this day, I don't know who that person was, but I have my suspicions.

Moving on, I've worked mostly doing computer work (development as well as some hardware stuff) and staying pretty low key on the scn scene. I have started a beautiful family (four kids now!) and am pretty damn satisified with my life!

Whew, well, that's that story. I hope you were able to make it through it all. You'll have to excuse me now, looks like I need to replace my keyboard after all that typing...

I can relate. I had been on a key Exec post for about 9 years. One evening 2 Sea Ogre's came into the org on a mission. Next thing I know, I'm off post for NO apparent reason. I request a comm ev, and go on an LOA. Still nothing in writing, and no comm ev.
Once my LOA was up, I went on to tech posts. Went out to ITO for training. While there, I looked for the 2 missionaires that canned me. Not to be found. After a little invest work, ot turns out they both had blown the SO, and one was a known drug revert. I then chatted up a programs chief who got access to their mission orders. It was their arbitrary whim to just boot some one off post for the hell of it.

I didn't stick around much longer....

Fascinating story!

This bit caught my attention. What impelled me to leave the COS was the incredible inval I got on my last action at St. Hill. A CCRD. In short, was told not clear, eventually convinced C/S I was. ( Natural clear in fact)

The very next action was an A-J check. I was already an " old timer" 25 years in, ex HCO an all. I couldn't believe it!

Not found A-J.

Then a PDH check! This is supposed to be for " plants"? !!!!?

Mine was about the time I visited a psyche. ( jaws theme)

I was with my mum, seeing a child psychologist because my mum, was stressed out and couldn't handle me being " Naughty". I was 3 years old at that time. :)

This was 1948, before COS existed.

Course I thought this C/S was completely screwy.

But was someone really thinking I was implanted to infiltrate COS before it existed?

You know I feel bad enough for giving you and your twin the ice cream already!

So was the report about the Ice Cream one of those 2-3 pages of bullshit KRs?

I always wondered if ethics officers bought that crap.

RE: RB and Twin

While working very hard on a special project I happened to run by the VRU and noticed RB and his twin enjoying an ice cream bar. This was no ordinary ice cream bar either, it was hagen daz. Everyone knows that these are exspensive and hardly in the budget of one doing the RPF. So I can only assume as you should as well that it was stolen.

The way they ate it was particularly enturbulating. Slow enough to let some of the vanilla ice cream run down the chocolaty side, but just before it would drip off, their tongues deftly lapped it up where it quickly surrendered itself to their eager palates.

etc... etc... etc...

Hahahahahahaaaaa! - That is the freakiest, funniest, most insane KR I've ever seen!

Erh.. Why didn't you issue a counter KR on that? - That guy could be reported for harbouring lewd feelings of lust for Icecream bars!

:roflmao:

Even though this is made up, boy does it directly speak to the actual practice of *many* SO members - KR's being a means to vent judgements and evaulations rather then relay facts of an event.

My guess is if you culled the 1,000's of ethics files out there, and out of 100,000 KR's, only 100 would by an accounting of actual facts regarding an event. The vast, vast majority couch some obscure fact in an ocean of opinion, eval, pointers to inapplicable references and personal feelings. All completely contrary to the Knowledge Reports PL!!!

Oh, and rqpd, the trip to the RPFs RPF was worth that very tasty treat
