CST was incorporated in May 1982, even according to the documents on that Veritas site, most of which are HTML texts and not images of originals and therefore somewhat questionable as to authenticity (but for the purposes of remainder of this post, I will assume they are accurate).

The authors of that site are ex-Churchie Scientologists who simply refuse to believe that Ron Hubbard himself personally ordered the C of $ corporate structure set up the way it is currently.

On that site, these authors proceed to expound upon - at great length - a conspiracy theory in which the U.S. Internal Revenue Service is the entity actually in control of the Church of Scientology, based upon two main facts: (a) the CST Board of Directors contains no Scientologists. (b) former IRS employee Meade Emory was heavily involved in the probate of Ron Hubbard's will.

These authors blissfully ignore the fact that CST Corporate By-Laws create a Board of Trustees that is empowered to remove and replace Board of Director members pretty much at will and requires that that Board of Trustees consist solely of Scientologists with good Ethics records, who have records of good case gain and have completed Upper OT Levels within 10 years of becoming a Trustee, etc., etc.

Read the By-Laws Articles VI and VII for a full rundown on the Board of Trustees and their relationship to the Board of Directors of CST.

The Board of Trustees has pretty much total power over the Board of Directors and David Miscavige has pretty much total power over the Board of Trustees, because he has the power to cancel any Trustee's certificates, upon which their membership in that board depends.

The I.R.S. is not in charge of Scientology - David Miscavige IS!

Interested readers are strongly urged to study the formal Declaration of Larry Brennan which has been posted verbatim to ESMB back in May 2008 for the true facts about the current corporate setup, which remains as he established it to this day.

Larry was there. The kooks who created the Veritas site were not.

I am *not* anonymous

I am not sure what else to add here that I have not already covered except to say that I agree with Michael's comments above. Along the line of what Michael said above, I made a post about that some time ago as follows:

http://groups.google.com/group/alt.religion.scientology/msg/b232e2af7d44503e?

While CSI was created in late 1981, the corporate plan that accompanied the launch of CSI contemplated its relationship to what was going to be both RTC and CST (both of which were "launched" in 1982). The idea behind CST was worked out partly in late 81 and then in 1982, not after Hubbard died in 86.

We were not moving the ownership of Hubbard's intellectual properties to CSI but rather reserving it at the time to go into what would be RTC (trade marks, service marks, collective membership marks) and what would be CST (copyrights, etc.).

A key was to get federal income tax exemption for CST as the vast majority of the "Hubbard money" was going to go there. It was copyrights and not trademarks that produced most of the Hubbard money (between the two) not counting the many other things like inflated payments for treatments, special properties, etc., etc. that went to Hubbard as Miscavige funneled over $40 million of it to him in 1982 alone as we tried to creatively justify the payments. There was just so much phony money in that Hubbard estate!

And, worse yet, so much of it was what I call "blood money" based on fraud, the abuse of others like mission holders, the sweat of unpaid or horribly paid staff who could not even properly care for themselves or their own children while Hubbard and international management got millions, etc.

Anyway that's besides the point.

There are lies behind the creation of RTC and CST but its not that IRS/CIA nonsense. See the following post which is in a series I am writing about Miscavige's perjuries. It covers some previously unposted info re why RTC and CST as well as the trademarks which relates a tiny bit to this:

http://ocmb.xenu.net/ocmb/viewtopic.php?p=346246#346246

Why in the world would the IRS and CIA really want to control scientology? It's not for that remote viewing stuff promoted on some web sites. I actually almost met someone from the CIA when I ran Special Unit and it was nonsense. Look, how many people have done the OT levels who can now do realistic remote viewing? Anyone?

I've even heard that somehow I am behind the secret groups (IRS etc) that secretly run organized scientology. That's a good one! ROFL

Whatever. People can believe whatever they want. That certainly helps make life interesting.

I know how Miscavige rose to power and I saw him do it. I had Hubbard orders in my hands as part of that corporate mission, I worked under Hubbard orders on legal matters for years prior to it when I was in the GO and I got Hubbard orders on external affairs matters for much of two years after that when I was later on WDC.

My own views of the real power behind organized scientology have nothing whatever to do with the IRS or the CIA. they are however based on years of experience with it. They are covered in the below post:

http://tinyurl.com/3b8ome

That's about all I have to say on it. It's cool if people don't believe it. Hell I've even had people tell me that I must have gotten orders from Hubbard's clone and not Hubbard as he would not do shady or illegal things.

Oh please! lol To those who believe that kind of stuff I wish you well but have no more words to agrue it.

Good luck, have a good life, happy trails, etc. I do wish you well. And we can just agree to disagree:)

Planet? What planet?

Here's a snippet from the e-mail I received recently from the MAA AOSH ANZO to my Doubt formula:

"Also, tons of books were shipped from Bridge to the local libraries and sure, a number of these sets have been sent back to CPLO locally as "not accepted" and I have personally been working to get public to volunteer to go visit libraries to handle them to take the books. And a large number of libraries have accepted them. So what are YOU doing about this situation? Do you expected the handful of 6,000 Sea Org members are going to single-handedly clear the planet? Since when does the Internet have all the answers."

I still haven't seen any change in the actual number of books per the national library database

I have translated the email you received, and it comes out as "No U."

No U:

The end all to any argument. Used when one either has no intelligent argument left, wants to try and use "no u" as an intelligent argument, or want to piss someone off. Most effective after one has been insulted.
Jack: You are a dirty cheating whore for sleeping with my brother!

Jill: No u.

This is a very good point Minnie.

It shows that it will be impossible to get all libraries to have copies of all the Basic books. And I’m sure that the CoS knows this full well.

Another piece of damming evidence showing that this whole ‘books into libraries’ evolution is a huge con simply designed to extract as much money as possible from the Scientology public. Huge amounts of money spent and no product to show for it.

Just about sums up the CoS right now, I think.

Axiom142

Yeah, they seem to have a few large-scale conning methods going at once! (sorry for my late reply btw).

OK so it's becoming pretty plain as to what the real story is here but there's still a few bits I don't get.

DM's idea of subtlety seems to be using a family sedan for a smash and grab rather than a loud, brightly coloured freshly-stolen sports car.

That's just the impression I get from what I've read of his behaviour and what he's done with the "GAT"

So where does Norman Starkey fit into all of thsi?

He's head of ASI, I think he was executor of Hubbard's will and he'd be making bucketloads from copyright use.

And he seems to be under the radar.

But in 96 at the GAT release, he was definitely more in charge than DM when it came to handling the Senior C/S "Conference."

Any clues?

I believe Norman is in SP hole, not 100% sure but I'm sure Little Bear Victor said something about that a while back. LBV?

I've just revisited the national library database for Oz and the Co$s stats are up!

There's now 178 basics books in the combined national libraries, one more than when I first counted them a few weeks ago.

Surely they'll be dancing on the tables at Int when they hear the good news :D

The most popular title is Evolution of a Science (24 copies available nationally) followed by Dianetics (18 copies) and Fundamentals of Thought (17)

There's even a C/S pack and some checksheets squirreled away in some library. :omg:

"On the Dark Side," there's 43 copies of "Bare-Faced Messiah," 16 copies of "Messiah or Madman" and 8 copies of "A Piece of Blue Sky."

I've got more news on this subject that I'll try to post tonight for ya all.

Thanks for the update, Scooter, looks like your original post may have nudged the Library Campaign and they've responded with the usual vim and vigour! LOL
It won't do them any good though; one copy of "A Piece Of Blue Sky" trumps 178 Basic Books any day! :)

Norman Starkey is indeed in the SP Hall per most recent data available. Virtually every person of importance in Scientology management is in there....translate to every person who could be a possible threat or rival to DM is in there.

Then DM is the only one who'll be pulling the profits out of the for-profit companies then.

Will post some more on the orders coming down on this scam soon.

Scooter,

These books might be in the catalogue, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if they had quietly 'disappeared'.

There used to be a copy of 'Bare-Faced Messiah' in the East Grinstead library. But then it went 'missing'.

Now who would want to steal such a book? :whistling:

...

Given that:

Scandal of Scientology
Madman or Messiah?
Bare-faced Messiah
Piece of Blue Sky

etc

Are all available electronically for free on the web, stealing one copy from a library isn’t really going to handle it!

Well, I had done some research on this or actually a similar "Library Campaign" over a year ago. It was actually something I discovered after my last set of lowers.

At any rate, basically I pulled back the curtain on Planetary Dissem (completely by accident - mind you) and found that even though HUGE amounts of money had been donated with the promise that funds would be used in very specific libraries, they never actually got onto the shelves.

Now there is more to this... It could be said that possibly the books were donated but not placed on the shelves by the library personnel. However a few years prior to the big bucks Planetary Dissem cycle, I personally had run a rather small campaign to put books on the shelves of these same libraries. Amazingly many of the books that I donated ARE still in these libraries, but the titles promised by PD never were.........

I would think that if the books that I donated were put on the shelves then at least ONE of the tens of thousands of dollars worth would have been accepted by ONE of the libraries on the approved list.

Nope.....not one. WTF? I seriously doubt that the money donated EVER resulted in any books being moved out of any bookstore or warehouse. I honestly believe it was just collect the money and count the stats. NO product. No attempted product. Just take the money and run. :omg:

GT

BTW none or the basics are in these libraries yet either......I wonder if the big contributors ever bother to look....well they don't really have the time to be following up on this and all they really need to do is read the Success Stories of the people who have seen the books in THEIR local libraries.
