"This is presented by Scientology, whether or not it is hidden behind a "shell" organization, of which there are dozens, that promote Scientology while purporting to offer other services like business or drug counseling, educational or peace-promoting services, etc.

Among other things, Scientologists teach that psychiatrists were responsible for World War II. They will try to solicit your students, who will be encouraged to drop out of school to join Scientology.

This is a self-help business that masquerades as a religion and instead of helping, harms countless people, including children, who are kept separated from their parents, uneducated and uncared for in Scientology custody.

The nation of Belgium is starting a prosecution against them as a criminal organization. And they are a criminal organization.

Your staff need to be aware that they will be lied to about who is presenting this lecture and why. You need to protect your student body by disallowing this lecture/recruitment series to take place. If you can't cancel it, it should be filmed in its entirety and monitored by a group of faculty and staff who witness the recruitment process.

This is a very dangerous organization that is spreading lies and that exploits the young, immature, insecure and uninformed youth of this and other countries.

Please stop your students from falling victim to this pernicious organization. Have your staff research scientology. Here are a few recent articles about books written by ex-Scientologists and journalists for your staff to look at:

You should know that they are a highly litigious organization and may use threats of religious discrimination or bigotry to force you to allow this recruitment drive on campus. They certainly will lie about their real purpose.

Please - protect your students and the integrity of the university that you are responsible for."

Sincerely,

A very concerned citizen

I wrote to them. Let's hope it does some good.

A couple of years ago, a letter-writing campaign persuaded the Liberal Democrat party conference in the UK to reverse a decision, and refuse CCHR a stand in their exhibition.

Common sense can prevail... once people realise that this is another front group concealing the Scientlology space alien cult.

I just sent an email as well.

Hi,

I cannot believe in this age of the internet that anyone could be so naive and gullible as to permit a recruitment drive by the cult of scientology.

I worked for these so called people for five years during which time I witnessed them destroy many promising but vulnerable lives.

So what happened to the separation of church and state? Surely that applies for good reason.

The ironically titled exhibit is the height of hypocrisy coming from a cult responsible for many deaths and other criminal activities, including infiltration of the US government.

I have nothing but astonishment that anyone in this day and age would let this money grasping organisation anywhere near young people. It is irresponsible and contemptible.

There are no words.
