Censored clips from the Philadelphia Doctorate course

There's been a few videos released on youtube recently featuring audio clips from the Philadelphia Doctorate course (6th Dec 1952). These clips feature Hubbard likening Scientology to George Orwell's 1984, discussing the application of Black Dianetics and commenting that it is easier to get money from someone "on a down spiral into becoming MEST" than from "somebody who is going on an up spiral toward becoming theta." These audio clips were erased from the 1990 re-released version, probably due to their controversial nature.

"Therefore we really do have the remedy before the assault weapon

That would be, could be, the palest imagined shadow of what a world would be like under the rule of the secret use of Scientology with no remedy in existence. The cult's version released in 1990 cut ALL OF THAT OUT except this:

Interesting edit. Hubbard was originally pretty forthcoming about how Scientology could be used to dominate or harm people. He was still conniving, though, because he didn't want to equate Dianetics with hypnosis. Either this was because he didn't understand what hypnosis was (induction of a trance), or because he did, and didn't want people to know that's what he was doing. I do understand the idea that Dianetics can be used to access repressed, unfulfilled intentions and resolve them, and thus might be understood as reversing post-hypnotic suggestions, where "engrammic" experiences are considered hypnotic in effect, but Dianetics most certainly is NOT the opposite of hypnosis.
